"No guy friends...except Andrew. He kind of lives with us still so I don't think banning you from seeing him would work out so well," I say, "Just temporarily. Until we can work."
I sigh and run a hand over my face, closing my eyes.
"And I will have no friends who are girls...except Gemini, who I'm not actually sure considers me to be a friend and who lives here sometimes," I promise. "I also think it would be wise for us to tell each other everything, whether it be important or not. Lack of communication is what got us here today."
I open my eyes and curse myself mentally for what I'm about to say.
"We need to find a marriage counselor too. Help work out our problems."
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
"Ah, do you?" I look at her, eyebrow raised, "You aren't invincible. You think you can take on the whole world, be my guest. I, for one, know what I can and cannot do. This...I can't do this on my own. Look what almost happened today. Do you want that to happen every day until this is fixed? I don't. I don't like it when my child has to ask whether I'm alright. I don't like almost crying in front of them."
I glance away, taking a breath.
"I don't like feeling as if I'm going to hyperventilate every time I picture that b*stard's face in my mind, just because I know what happened," I whisper, "You might be able to do it on your own, but there's no way in hell I can."
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
It's crazy how your life can be twisted upside down inside out and around and you can get sushi from safeway still looking like a normal person — starchild314
