Spoiler
Okay.

Mark

Dazed out in my room, I sigh and decide to get drunk at the bar instead of doing nothing. I slip my jacket on and glance at my tired self in the mirror. Stubble covers my chin and my hair is a faded blonde from being dyed too much. My clothes are ratty and I can't remember the last time I left the tavern to do something.

Sighing, I step out of my room and head to the bar, freezing when I find a brunette on one of the stools. Has it...been a year already? I take the seat beside her and nod at the bartender, ordering my usual without words. In case it's not her, I don't say anything and sip on my drink instead, my bangs covering my contactless, brown eyes.
I'm never what I like
I'm double sided
And I just can't hide
I kind of like it
When I make you cry
'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up

Someone sits next to me and I swallow, not looking at them or saying anything. Shivvering still, I cross my arms and glance around, the water not helping much. In this last mission, I've learned not to trust anyone but yourself. The bartender studies me, "Aren't you...?"

I glare at him, "Yeah, dumb a*s, I am. Not shut your pie hole before I punch it off," I mutter, leaning down and resting my head in my arms.

"Fiesty," He mutters back, tending to someone else. Swallowing, I run a hand through my hair and sigh, swirling my glass around.

I flash a smile at the voice, glancing at the girl, "Sel? Is that...is that you?"

Freezing and glancing at the guy, I shivver once more before pulling my sleeves down even more, "Selena, Yeah," I reply, studying him. Then it hits me, "M-Mark?" I ask, my voice wavering.

I flip the hair out of my eyes and study her, nodding, "Yeah, s'me. You...you okay? You look cold..." I slip my jacket off and set it over her shoulders, even though she has her own on.

Swallowing, I nod and look down, "Y-Yeah. Just...not feeling like myself," I say, "I'm fine."

I hesitate before pulling up the sleeves up my jacket and tilting my head to the side to reveal the cut on my neck -bandaged - and the millions of cuts on my arms that are bandaged, "Painful. Horrible," I reply, shaking my head.

My heart drops into my chest at the sight of her, my breath catching in my throat. Without touching one of the cuts, I stand and take her hand, "C'mere, Sel. Let's go somewhere more comfortable, warmer. I've got drinks in my room if you want. C'mon."

I nod slowly, not able to get up, "Will you carry me? I'll probrably pass out if I try to move," I whisper, swallowing.

I nod and gently take her in my arms, carrying her back to my rented room. Opening the door, I walk in and set her down on the couch. I lock the door behind us and grab a blanket from the bed, wrapping it around her and sitting at her side.

I flash a weak smile at him before cuddling into him, shivvering slightly as I do. Finding him warm, I gently wrap my arms around one of his, closing my eyes.

I flash a smile back at her and kiss the top of her head, staying quiet. What happened, Sel? I've never seen you so tame...

Have only gotten a little more then a weeks worth of sleep in the whole year, I doze off almost instantly, this being the most peaceful place I've been in since I last saw him.

I silently lean back, taking her with me without waking her, and take a deep breath. Watching her, I remember old times and hope she's held out for me while she was gone.
