I go upstairs and lay on the bed, running a hand over my face only to realize that's where she clawed me. I winced in pain And removed my hand, setting one of my hands atop my stomach.

I REALLY need to rest...

Skylar

I look to Diablo as I cover my stomach up protectively.

"Diablo let us leave and find somewhere else to live, now you mind giving me a ride since I can't shift myself?" I ask himin my sweetest voice.

Jace sighs and stands, carrying the kids up to the bedroom. He sets them in their crib and looks at his wife, unsure what to say.

Just as I was about to fall asleep I open one I eye and see Jace. "What?"

"We...We need to talk this out, Ray," He looks down, "There's too much tension and I'm just sick of the fighting."

Diablo

I gently set her on her feet and shifted full dragon, letting down my wing to let her climb up. I really thought I was going to be done with all this fighting after all the chaos I've been through. All I wanted was a peaceful life with Skylar and our hatchlings. However, that seems to be out of reach with very hostile neighbors.

"Talk what out?" I ask, closing my eyes again.

He glances up at her. "Everything..."

I shift on my side and take a deep breath, my eyes still closed. "You start."

He takes a deep breath. "I just... Why are we fighting, Ray? We're supposed to love each other. We almost killed each other the other day."

"You think I don't love you? Your my life." I said, sighing, slowly drifting off.

"Ray, I didn't say that..." He walks over to her and sits on the edge of the bed. "Stay awake, please. We need to get through this."

I sigh and force my eyes open to look at him. "I know. I just wanted to clarify."

He studies her before taking her hand. "We shouldn't have to clarify things like that."
