Eagle Crest Hallows

Jace furrows his brow, studying his friend. "Andrew, what are you talking about?"

I couldn't have gone long and not tell them

I felt another tear escape.

"I went to the doctor a week ago, and he gave me some bad news"

I look at him, "Andrew, What?!" I say.

Jace sits up, still cradling Logan, and waits for Andrew to explain.

"They told me I've got cancer," I said,

"I've got a year or two at best." I say Rayah looks like she's about to break down.

My eyes widen and I look away, standing and walking up the stairs. I walk outside and Throw a couple fireballs at the trees. I punch the wall a couple times, breaking it.

"ARE YOU F**CKING KIDDING ME!" I scream, plopping down in the grass and bury my hands in my hands.

Jace wants to go after her but knows it's not his job to do it this time. He takes Riley back from Andrew.
"Go." He whispers. "She needs you at the moment."

I give Riley back to Jace. She gives me a tiny wave, I wipe tears from my face.

I flash down to Rayah, she fell unto her knees and started crying. I got down on my knees and hugged her from behind.

"Shhh, Rayah, it's okay..." I try to calm her down.

I shake my head, shrugging his touch away. I stand and grab a brick from the building. I punch it. It desinigrates and I kick a couple trashcans. They fly into the air and I scream again.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!?!" I yell, my eyes turning red.

I duck out of the way as Rayah goes crazy.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!?!" She yells at me

"Because, I didn't want it to be true Rayah! I don't want to die!!!"

"You think I do either?!" I said, freaking out. I throw myself into a tree and it tips from me kicking it. I drop again and calm myself, shaking my head.

"I-I love you like a brother." I whimpered.

Jace hears the screaming from above, the babies waking and stirring restlessly.
"Shh, it's alright." He whispers, lightly bouncing them. "Daddy's here. Mommy and Uncle Andrew will be back soon."

Somehow I can hear Jace whisper to the twins,

"Daddy's here. Mommy and Uncle Andrew will be back soon." I let another tear go.

I turn to Rayah, she takes me in her arms. Crying on my shoulder.

"I - I love you like a brother." she whimpers.

"I know," I sob,

"But I don't have any control over this."

I nodded, "I-I wish the best for you." I wiped my eyes. "I-It's just...Your my closest friend." I flashed a small smile.

"Hopefully It'll go away. Hopefully."

"Yeah, I'm crossing my fingers." I hold her tightly.

"And kicking trash-cans and burning trees isn't going to fix anything. I need a miracle."
