The Random Vampire Story [2]

Colt---

Colt growled inwardly when he heard a echo of his own words. This Jason guy had to go and soon. He held Caiden close and walked into the house.


Jason-

Jason followed them praying neither had heard his words. He followed them into the house and looked around.

Caiden sighed contently when her and Colt sank down into the couch when they got inside. Dispite their claim of hunger, neither of them moved to get anything. Or do anything other than sit there re-memorizing each other's scent.

Colt---

Colt held Caiden close and buried his face in her hair. He never wanted to let her go again.

"I don't like Jason." HE wispered in her ear.

Caiden sighed, "how did I know that?"

"The fact that I was doing my best to give him the death glare?"

"Why don't you like him?"

"He's in love with you."

"No he's not," she insisted.

Colt-

Colt nodded, "Yes he is. trust me I can tell by how he looks at you. I don't like it, and I don't want him here." He replied, "I don't want to worry he will hurt you."

Caiden shook her head, "I know Jason, he won't-"

Colt silenced her with a kiss when Jason walked into the room with Brent.

"I thought you guys were hungry," Brent said.

"We are," Caiden said.

"For food?"

Caiden giggled.

Colt--

Colt shrugged, "As long as I'm with her I'm fine." HE smiled smothering Caiden with kisses.

Jason-

Jason frowned, "I'm getting food." He muttered walking towards where the food was. He didn't like this situation one bit.

Caiden didn't like when Jason walked off pouting like that. It tugged at her heart. So she turned her attention back to Colt. "Come on," I said tugging him to his feet, "we need food."

He grinned as they walked into the kitchen. "Who's house is this anyway?" She asked.

Colt--

"No clue, ask Slade and Brent they brought me here while I was passed out at one point." HE replied as they walked in the kitchen. THey quickly mixed up some food and then all sat at the table. COlt kept an eye on Jason daring him to make a move on Caiden.


Jason--

Jason's appatite disappeared when Colt walked in with Caiden, but he ate anyways. He wanted to glare at Colt, but thought better of it.

Caiden

I didn't like this, not at all. I didn't love Jason as anything more than a friend! It was so hard to not glare at him, to not smack him and tel him to get over it that I didn't like him.

but I knew I didn't want to. I knew I did love him too. I just wasn't going to admit it to myself or anyone else.

Colt---

Colt finished his food and leaned back in his chair looking at the others. He was happy that he hadn't lost Caiden forever. The few days without her had been hell for him and he couldn't stand it. He took a deep breath and slowly stood up.

"I'm gonna go outside for a bit, y'all can join me when ya finish." He smiled leaving. He didn't like leaving Caiden with Jason, but he needed to think.


Jason---

Jason watched as Colt left and then he looked at Caiden. "SO why do you love him so much? He doesn't seem all that special to me." He said finishing his food up and looking at her. He wanted to wrap his arms around her and a feel his lips against hers, but he pushed those thoughts out of his mind and just looked at her.

Caiden rolled her eyes, "if you knew him like I do, you..." she laughed, "you would both be gay." She giggled and shoved another pizza roll in her mouth. "Who can say why you love someone? You just do."

He looked at her skeptically and shrugged. "He just seems a little...needy that's all."

Anger flared up in Caiden and she stood up and marched out of the room to sit on the porch. It was either that, or give Jason a black eye.

Jason--

Jason watched Caiden leave surprised, what had he said??? He wasn't sure, he finished eating then cleared their stuff.


Colt---

Colt heard the door shut and he spun around. Caiden was sitting on the pourch swing looking angry.

"SOmething wrong, love?" he asked walking over and sitting next to her.

Caiden rested her head on his shoulder, "Jason's just pissing me off." She sighed and his arms came around her, keeping her safe.

"Did you really expect something better?"

"From him sorta, he never acted like this before...well yes he has but it was only every now and then when he tried to get me to stop looking for you."

Colt---

Colt stopped a growl from coming from his throat. "Maybe we shouldn't have offered to let him stay. I mean, he isn't about to stop trying to get you."
