Autumn's Beginning, Autumn's Breeze [2]

Riley-

I sighed. "Do you really want to go?"

She nodded.

"Here, how about this. I don't know if it'll help you much, but you tell me exactly where to go. Where to turn, when to fly up or down..." i said, rubbing her back gently. "Would that help?"

Ariana

"It may," I said, "go down."

"How far down?"

"All the way."

"Other than to the ground."

"I'll let you take me back up, but I need to reposition myself."

"Why?"

"I can't hold on tight enough," she said a blush coming across her face.

"I won't drop you," he promised.

"I know," I assured him, "I just need to make sure that I don't drop myself."

Velna-

Velna looked at Davinx,

"Is it just me or does danger seem to follow the group?" She asked,

"Why would you say that?" He asked,

"Well, the demons, then Araina's demon, and everythign else." She looked around, "Wait, we've delt with her demon, that was what we had set out to do isn't it?" The thought hit her like a blow to the stomach. They would all go back home and her and Trent would have to move on again, find somewhere else to go. Could she do that and be happy? SHe didn't think so, she knew for a fact now that she liked, if not loved, Davinx. He might not feel the same, but she was stuck with it.

Stupid girl feelings. She sighed,

Hahahahaha Crest laughed, she blocked him out, she wanted to figure this out in the peacefulness of her own brain, by herself.

Davnix-

"It is, but as you so accurately pointed out, danger and trouble seems drawn to this group. I doubt our adventures are over. But even if they are, will you return with us? We'd love if you stayed in Verlmil..." i blushed.


Riley-

I brought us back to the ground and set Ariana down on her feet. I turned my face back to the moon longingly.

Ariana

I wrapped my arms around his neck, "if you want to go back up now you can."

He looked down at me with his head tilted to the side, "are you sure you'll be alright?"

"I'll be....okay. I'll be a little better with the feeling that I won't drop myself."

Velna-

She looked around, "I-I, that would be up to Trent. We've never stayed in one place before that I can remember, I don't think there would be anything there to keep him there so I don't know." She said fighting the tears, Geez, get ahold of yourself. She thought,

Riley-

I smiled and allowed Ariana to grasp my neck tightly. I picked her up and beat my wings gently, lifting slowly into the air.

After a few moments we were just above the tree line, gaining altitude at a steady pace.

"So back to the others, then?" i asked.

Val --

I held myself close to Natan, never wanting to move again. I was quite content in his arms.

I felt someone eyes on me.

Nathaniel was in his bed, partially propped up with a pillow, glaring at me.

"What?" I asked, meeting his gaze bravely.

Isabella--

"You shouldn't be so afraid of them," I mumbled sleepily, curling up against Max. He chuckled, kissing my head lighty.

"You're supposed to be asleep."

"Eh," I replied.

"And what are you doing reading my mind?"

"I was curious...you seemed worried."

Ariana

I felt safer up here than I did on the ground...that was strange. "No," I whispered, "go towards the mountian," I urged. He seemed pleased and started off that way. I felt safe, but I didn't dare let go or loosen my grip. Or even look down.


Max

"I have every right to be worried," I said defensively. "Your brother didn't really seem to get that you weren't a vampire when I put him to sleep."

I urged that thought into her head too. More forcifully than before. "No," she protested childishly.

"Love, you almost died tonight. Died. You need sleep."

This time when I shoved the thought into her mind she wasn't able to fight it.

Davnix-

I frowned. "Well, i for one hope you stay with us. I enjoy your company." i said honestly.

Nathaniel-

I regarded Val coldly. Natan stirred restlessly, curling slightly. I kept him asleep for a moment longer, feeling him consciousness push against my will. I quieted him with one thought.

Wait.

He stopped, feeling his consciousness turn an icy cold.

"What?" Val demanded again.

"What are you doing?" i asked quietly, menacingly.

Riley-

I smiled and sped up slightly. Cold autumn air brushed against my cheek. I buried my face in her hair, inhaling her scent. The moon shone brightly from behind the mountain that was growing closer every second.

Velna-

"W-why would you want us to stay?" She asked, she wanted to know. What made him want them, around. Could he feel the same way, or was he just being nice, like everyone else. "I told you before, people look for me. That would bring trouble if something else didn't find y'all. I wouldn't want that to happen." She regretted the words, she didn't want him to take his comment. She liked the feeling that he wanted them, her around, even if it might not be true.

Ariana

I didn't look down, I looked up at the oncoming moon and mountian. While I felt safer than I had before, it was still frightening. But that was the first step to getting over a fear right? Face it?

Davnix-

I chuckled. "Eh, any trouble that follows you can and will be dealt with swiftly. It'd be worth having you and your brother around."

She regarded me curiously.

I smiled and explained. "Velna...i think i'm falling in love...with you."


Riley-

I lowered myself down onto the mountain, touching down lightly. I set Ariana on her feet and grinned, hugging her.

"You did it!" i exclaimed.

Ariana

I grinned and hugged back, feeling proud of myself as well.

*sorry! I've got NOOOOTHING*

Velna-


"Y-you, I-I," She clamped her mouth shut, he liked her!!!!!! Infact he thought he was falling in love with her. "You can't." She sputtered out.

IDIOT! Why did you say that!!!! She screamed at herself.

"I-I mean, I think I'm falling in love with you, but, what if he wont stay. What if he wants to keep moving." She said looking down, Trent will do what is best for you, you know thta. Crest said breaking through her barier. Plus, I would be able to take a vacation. he laughed,
