The Moosehead Tavern [2]

Another buzz of his phone and Jace smiles, dropping it and pinning Rayah down, opening his eyes slightly.
"I'd rather talk." He whispers.

I smile and push him off me. "Fine, we'll talk." I said putting my phone in my pocket. "What do you want to talk about?"

Jace stays lying down, closing his eyes again.
"Whatever you wanna talk about." he replies.

I turned my head to him, still on the floor. "Thats the problem. I don't know what I want to talk about." I smile.

Jace opens an eye just to pull her closer.
"Let's talk about the future." He says. "What's the perfect future for you?"

I shrugged, "To have a perfect family. To have my kids back." I smiled. "What about you?"

"Same." Jace replies, eyes closed and smiling. "But I wanna live somewhere green, where the sun sets right out our front door, where we can run to a beach whenever we want to, where we're only with each other..."

Rayah's kids bust though the door, excited to see there parents again, but I walked though the door slowly dropped monqice to the ground and landed with a "oof" but I carried Kelly in my arms slowly. I fell to my knees my tears coming from my eyes.

Jace stands, eyes open when he hears them return. Logan and Riley bolt towards them, holding tight. Joseph stands and walks towards Andrew, wondering what's wrong with Kelly.
"What happened?" He asks.

I look up slowly, tears streaming down my face landing on Kelly's face.

"Monqice was packing fire power... shes a demigod... a daughter of zeus...." I sturggled to talk between my sobs.

I hold my kids tight, not wanting to let go until I see Kelly. I run over to her and knelt beside her, checking her pulse. "She-She..." I looked up at Andrew. "She's still alive."

"But shes dying slowly, sure, but she is dying. Monqice had hit her hard with her own lightining." I said still checking my words inbetween my sobs.

Monique slowly wakes and stands. She see's me and tackles me to the ground, and punches me knocking me uncontious.

Joseph looks around for Kalen, his little boy sneaking out from the shadows. There's a cut across his cheek, but he doesn't care, setting his hand on Kelly's arm to start helping.
Jace sees Rayah pass out and stands, ready to rush at Monique before Logan uses his power to strike her down, temporarily blinding his father in the process.

Monique stands and shakes out the pain. Kicking me aside. She looks at Logan and smiles, "Hey, Come here," She says bending down to his height. Logan slowly takes a step foward, giggling.
