The Moosehead Tavern [2]

I smiled, "He liked ketchup, I can tell." I grabbed Jace's hand and smiled. "Maybe having kids won't be so bad." I looked at both Gabi and Kalen.

Jace smiles and shrugs.
"Let's just finish being kids first." He says.
Joseph wipes off Kalen's hand with a napkin and then takes the ketchup away, leaving him with just the fries. Kalen pouts for a moment before getting over it.

I smiled back, "Yeah.Speaking of kids." I said picking up Gabi, "You Need to get back to Becca. She'll be picking you up any minute." She reaches for Jace once again for a goodbye.

Jace smiles and hugs Gabi before Becca walks in.
"Bye, Gabs." He says.

She smiles at Joseph, Sai and Kalen before Becca takes her.

"Rayah, Katie's looking for you." she says concerned.

I shrugged, "Tell her to just rest her arm, Put alittle ice on it and then wrap in in the emergency cloth in the clinic. That'll help." I smiled and Becca nods, walking out.

Jace slides next to Rayah, taking her hand, and they watch as Kalen yawns and cuddles into Joseph's chest.

I yawn too, "Ugh it's 1:00. in the morning." I slid down the wall and closed my eyes again, hoping I would actually get some sleep.

Jace holds her as she falls asleep, Joseph wrapping an arm around Sai and leaning her against him.

I cuddled next to Jace, Resting my head against his chest. He was so warm. I fell asleep. I dreamt of that monster, coming back, coming back to get us. I stirred when it got bad. I woke up and let out a slight scream.

Everyone jumps at Rayah's scream, Joseph standing in preparation for anything. Kalen makes a face to cry before Sai takes him in her arms.
"What happened?" Joseph yawns.

I get up and walk around the room murmering to Myself,

"He's coming, we have to prepare, no we can't, oh this is bad..." I murmered stuff.

I started freaking out.

Jace stands and walks to her, wrapping his arms around her.
"Calm down. Who's coming?" He whispers.

"The monster, he's coming back, he wasn't finished." I freak out even more just staying it, when Jace takes my face in his hands.

Jace kisses her then sets his forehead against hers.
"He's gonna have hell to pay if he does." He whispers.

"He-He's not leaving until he gets what he wants," I pulled away from Jace and paced back and fourth. "He's coming because we survived!" I lean against the wall. "And he's angry."
