The Moosehead Tavern [2]

The boy sighs, making eye contact with Sai then the little boy. "Joseph."

Bella nodded, "Nice to meet you Joseph." She smiles again and sips her drink once again.

Joseph nods and looks back at the little boy. "This is Kalen, my son."

She looks over at the little boy, and then Joseph. "Um. How old are you?" She asks grinning.

"Seventeen, eighteen, something like that." Joseph orders an orange juice for Kalen and a Coke for himself.

"Well then." Bella looks down and shakes her head.

"Please, refrain from judging." Joseph sips his drink. "My situation is not something to be made a spectacle about."

Bella puts her hands up in truce, "Hey, I said nothing." she smiled and sips her drink.

"Your expression and tone a voice did." Joseph holds back his own smile, turning to watch Kalen drink his orange juice. He moves his foot underneath the table to touch Sai's, slightly worried she isn't saying anything.

"Well..." I leaned back in my chair. "I didn't mean it."

"It's fine." Joseph says. "I apologize for making a deal out of it."
He sips his drink and studies Sai.
"What's been going on with you lately?" He asks. "I haven't seen you since that...since Kalen's birthday."

I'm going to say that Rayah forgot her phone. Haha that would be really awkward.

I forgot my phone so I transported back to the tavern and see Bella. "Bella!"
she looks over at me and smiles, "What's up Rayah?" she stands and we do a fist pump. "Just forgot my phone." I smiled, "What are you doing here?" I asked.

Joseph and Sai watch as Bella greets the other girl.
"Something came up, Joey." Sai whispers. "I'm sorry."
She fixes Kalen's hair as he turns to beam a perfect baby-toothed smile at her.

Maybe Jace can follow Rayah in. I kinda miss them...

Bella hugs me, "I haven't seen you in forever!" Bella smiles,

"Yeah, Sorry it was my turn to go to war so I didn't have much time, you now withAphrodite yelling at me constantly." I bit my lip. "But whatever." I shrugged.

Jace walks back into the tavern and wraps his arms around Rayah, glancing at what appeared to him as a family at the table closest. The male looked familiar...
