Grave of the Shadows (Starting!)

Alright, so I'm obsessed with storybooks and felt the need to create another. However, I only want people who will be able to post. I've been in way too many dead storybooks, and I want this one to keep going. You must be able to post more than just once every so often. Also, warning, this storybook is rather... dark.

The story takes place in the city of Luna Lamok, a city known for it's evil and corruption. The King has never been seen or heard, though he rules the city with terror and force. In reality, the rule comes about through the five Nights, the King's personal minions. The rule the Warriors- hundreds of them- and the Warriors rule the people.

However, in the midst of the darkness a group of ten people- five couples- arose in opposition. The called themselves the Shadows, and moved, almost invisibly, through the city. Their job was to rise the people to rebellion through small acts. Unfortunately, they were discovered and killed.

Their children remained hidden, and are now rising to take over the job their parents left them. They fight through small actions that go against the principles of the King, acts such as helping the oppressed of the city.

Profile: (I want realistic characters. This is a city consumed by darkness, and these are orphans who have grown up with this injustice. Their main worry in life will not be what clothes to wear or who the cutest guy is. Make them believable to the story.)

Name: Anna Noel

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Appearance: Her hair hair is a dark shade of auburn and is straight and raspy. Anna has a fair complexion and Hazel eyes.

Personality: Anna is a tough and rebellious young girl. Her calm and quite nature sometime makes her seem cold and uncaring, but that's quiet the contrary. she often has trouble trusting people, but that understandable give the things that she's gone through.
Anna loves to sing and does so when no one's around, she also has a fondness of just sitting around and watching the sky. though it may not seem like it she also enjoys company.
she hate having to kill people, but will if It's needed.

Strengths: She is an expert at wielding all sorts of weaponry, all she need is a little time to figure them out.

Weaknesses: She's not to good at hand to hand combat.

Name: Jackie Rockwell
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: Jackie is short and slim. She has dark brown hair, almost black, which she keeps in a messy pixie cut. She has pale skin and dark gray eyes, and she often wears dark colors.
Personality: On the surface, Jackie can seem rather rough and unfeeling. She tends to keep her distance from all but her closest friends. She is very slow to trust others, and often assumes the worst of them, simply for survival. She is determined and stubborn, and doesn't like to give up. Although she seems cold and hard, she cares deeply about her friends and comrades, and places high value on family and friendship. She believes unwaveringly in strength in numbers, and she hopes to be able to start a full-scale rebellion in her lifetime.
Strengths: Jackie can appear to be very confident, which in turn inspires others. She has a powerful, resonant voice, and is very good at giving impromptu speeches. She is a good sprinter, and is very skilled with a knife. She has no qualms about killing, but she prides herself her ability to disable attackers without killing them, because of the challenge involved.
Weaknesses: Because she is so small, Jackie lacks great physical strength. She also has a little trouble controlling her temper.
Other: Up for love--will pursue someone, but generally isn't receptive to others pursuing her.

Name: Liam Knightly
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance:

Personality: Liam is the eldest of the Shadow Children, as he calls the group of kids. He's taken it on himself to protect them and keep charge. Therefore, he comes across as bossy and overly protective. He doesn't much like personal one on one conversations, and is a bit socially awkward. He is very untrusting, and wary of anyone who comes near any of the Shadow Children. He is also very fearless and in a sense has no concience. He will do what needs to be done without think of any moral side there may be.

Strenghts: Speed and stealth and Liam's main skills, he is an expert thief, and can get anything to anyone without being noticed. He can, in a sense, become invisible when he wants to. No one can match him in speed. His hardened heart is another strength, as well as his fierce motivation to protect the others.

Weaknesses: He can be reckless, and doesn't always think things through. He's also not very strong physically. He is also shy and doesn't always know how to act around people.

Other: Possibly up for love, though the girl would have to be rather persistent, especially since his first reaction is to look down on everyone in the group. He has a sketch of the ten Shadows, and he keeps it in a coat pocket everywhere he goes.

Name: Rodr Conners

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: Rodr is tall and broad, and very muscular. He has wavy blondish-red hair and usually wears plain clothes.

Personality: On the inside, he really cares for others (which is why he helps people and hates the government). However, that's no good because he grew up surrounded by corruption and suffering. So, he hardened himself to the point where he tries to never show 'weakness' - IE, pain, fear, excitement, etc. (Of course he actually has emotions, and he actually has a strong sense of right or wrong - he just hides it.) People who didn't know him before he closed himself off think at first that he's just heartless, when in fact the opposite is true - although he would never let that show. He's a little rebellious as well, and gets angry easily. Also protective of people he considers friends.

Strengths: Physically very adept and strong; he's good with the sword and at running, climbing, etc. He also doesn't let emotion rule his actions (unless he's angry). He is compassionate too; he just tries not to make a point about it.

Weaknesses: Well... since he keeps all his feelings closed in, he fights a lot of inner battles with himself. He can have a bad temper and is stubborn, and acts cold and harsh if not uncaring.

Other: Love would kill him... so yes, up for love! That would be fun...

Name: Celeste Conners

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Has brown hair with bleach blong highlights, beautiful hazelnut eyes. She stands at 5'6" and usually wears stuff like short-shorts and a long sleeved shirt with combat boots.

Personality: (Likes and dislikes, weird habits, pet peeves, etc.): Celeste is very secretive, not talking much. She doesn't like it when people correct eachother- thinkning they need to learn what they said wrong by themselves. She has a very high temper, but is mature in so many ways, giving people her kind and mother-like nature. Around people younger then her, she is very caring and soft-sided, keeping everyone safe and taking things under her wing sometimes. Around people older then her she is is overly-protective, making sure they're not going to hurt her family in any way. She Is very athletic. She dislikes it when people fight, not wanting any violence near her. She has a flaw. One where she can never stand seeing anyone cry, ever.

Strenghts: her strengths are, cooking, hunting handling knives and usally having a nice relationship with alot of people.

Weaknesses: Her weaknesses are seeing people cry, seeing people younger then her hurt, and boys. She doesn't understand them.

Other: (Up for love? Any special trinkets or memories?) Up for love. She has some memories of her younger brothers and sisters being captured but doesn't like to remember them. She is also the oldest of her siblings.

Name: Reyna Lennar
Age: 16
Gender: female
Appearance: (Picture will come soon) She black, long hair. She is short, and stocky. She practically always wears a black t-shirt, black pants (or jeans), and black shoes.
Personality: Rose is a very sad, quiet girl. She hates the people who killed her parents, and holds grief in her heart. She seems to always be lurking in the shadows, and doesn’t make friends very easily. After her parents’ death, Rose was left to take care of a small two year old, but the child got sick with a fever, and died. Rose abhors herself for letting the kid die, and she always gets angry when anybody tries to comfort her. She (like many others) hardened herself, and puts a “mask” on so that nobody can sense her sadness. Only a good friend can really talk to her.
Strengths: Rose is very good at hiding. She wears black all the time, so she easily blends in with shadows. Being a good actress it another talent. She can pretend that she loves somebody, hates somebody, etc. if she wants to. Hardly anybody can tell if she’s really telling the truth, or not…
Weaknesses: She could get very, very violent if she met her parents’ slayer. She holds way too much hate, and sometimes breaks down. When she breaks down, she might have to spend up to a week recuperating. Sadness envelops her all of the time. Other: She is up for love, but not very many people break through her mask. She also has a very weird and odd talent. She seemed to be able to contact animals, and somehow make them understand her...

Name: Caleb Noel

Age: 17, like his twin sister Anna

Gender: Male

Appearance: Although he and Anna are twins, they are fraternal and have little in common when it comes to appearance. Although are pale and hazel-eyed, Caleb is brown haired with natural blond highlights.

Personality: A contrary to many of the silent Shadows, Caleb is more like a sun. He's good-natured and gets along with everybody. Rather bubbly for a male, and always tried to be an optimistic. He's extraordinarily loyal, but someone who practically lives in the past. He, being fairly old, can remember their parents fairly well- and misses them. Caleb's a little to far up in his own head- he can be a worrywort, and therefore tries to cover up any craziness with a cockiness. He's a little over-protective of everyone in the group- he's terrified to loose anyone. A bit ignorant.

Strenghts: Fanastic with a gun or bow-and-arrow, and a master in disguise. Skilled tactictian and gets along with everyone. Very good at faking things; an actor, persay, in the right situation. Loyal- would do anything for anyone in the group.

Weaknesses: Terrible in hand-to-hand combat. Is not very good at being silent- he's more rhino than cat-like. Clumsy. He would give up his life for anyone in the group- might put himself in a bad situation.

Upz and July, sounds good, I'm going to have a second character a sibling of the Noels, so just make sure it's from one of the other four. I think any would be fine, it would be nice if Liam had a sibling, and any of the others would probably fit in well.
