Seed (Of Love and Evil)

"And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." -Genesis 3:15

This is a drawing I did for my short story "Of Love and Evil".

I love the quote so much. It's like, "HELL YEAH. Another prophecy that has come with Christ!"

The art is beautiful. The only thing that bugs me is that the arm seems to not be connected with anything.

It might be because I am ignorant of the Bible, but it doesn't quite seem like your picture matches the quote. But I may be completely wrong so you can ignore me. The picture looks really awesome at first, but then I think "wait, what does an apple, an arm, and a big octopus tentacle have to do with that quote, or your story?"

Oh, and I love the fade effect on the coloring too. Not sure how you did that, but it's awesome!

The quote is God talking to the serpent that tempted Eve into sin. It is a prophecy about Jesus, which connects to my short story. I'll have to post it soon.

And I thought it looked like an arm, a snake's tail, and a fig. : /

The snake tail alludes to the serpent. The hand represents sin. The fig represents knowledge.
