"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
Personality (Including Likes/Dislikes): LoranaIs that mean girl that thinks she's all that. She doesn't like to be wrong and always wants it her way. Boys tend to like her because of her beauty but most girls don't like her at all. It's always better to get on her good side or she'll try to destroy you by turning everyone against you. She's very skilled when it comes to beauty and hunting. She has experience with fighting. If you get on her good side you'll notice she's very loyal and sweet. She cares for all her friends and doesn't let them down. When you first meet her she may seem annoyed and a jerk, but she's really sweet once you get to know her, you just have to get passed her wall. She likes sitting on the beach at night and watching the sunset, she loves mini dresses (Which she usually wears) and she also likes bow and arrows (Which is one of the weapons she uses best.). She doesn't like people who think their better than her, she hates books and education, and she hates high heels.

She has long, curly blonde hair and usually wears mini dresses with converse. She has blue eyes and is very beautiful which gives her upperhand with the boys.
History: Lorana has always been the good girl in her family. All her older bothers and sisters have been the bad-ones and she hates it because they always end up arrested or get in trouble. She is the youngest in her family and never gets all the attention which leaves her to be mean and over-protective when you first meet her. Once you give her some attention, she will always grow to like you. Her older brothers nd sisters are in jail, and got put in jail for robbing banks. She might have a family history of that but she is nothing of that trait.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Her strengths are beauty, the bow and arrow and wearing dresses. her weaknesses are High heels, understanding boys and Books. (almost all of these I said in Personality )
Other: Up for love.

Sam
It was hard to believe that only a month had passed. The system had fallen so quickly and I came to realize how fragile it was, and how hard it would be to rebuild. The group was spread out at the fork of a river. We had been following this river for at least 200 miles and it threw us off when it split. We were still going North but which way would get us there faster? I didn't have a map. When we ransacked the visitors station all we had in mind was food. It made sense at the time, after all, you can't eat paper. We hadn't come into contact with sleepers for at least two days in a row. We were far into the Midwest and I hoped that most of the Sleepers here were drawn by the lights and sounds of the bigger cities. Regardless, we had to convene for a meeting. I got up from where I was making arrows, brushing shaven stone off my jeans. We had a whistle code and I gave three short whistles, meaning that all was alright but we had to gather.
As people surrounded me I noticed that they looked happier. Morale was up and that was important in peaceful situations such as this. I've heard of people just snapping and taking off the heads of everyone around them with a shotgun spontaneously.
"Hello everyone." I started. I glanced at Mason who was doing his best to keep Claire focused.
"As you know, we can't stay here forever. We have to keep moving." I gauged everyone's reactions. Many just accepted it by now. "Unfortunately, I don't know which direction to go and with Winter coming in a few short months, we don't want to screw this up. We need the shortest, fastest way west. Any ideas?"
"Sam, we have to take to the road. It makes sense right now, roads are straightforward and easy to follow." Lorena challenged me. She was doing this a lot and I was afraid her recklessness could hurt the group.
"No. I don't think so. The roads are different now." I remembered seeing my first interstate after the crisis. Cars created a Labyrinth and Sleepers roamed through them unpredictably.
"No Sam. The Sleepers will be gone by now. It more dangerous to be back here. I saw one of those animals the other day. There'll be more and more T-Critters as we approach farmland. We have to go for the road." Lorena narrowed her eyes.
"A vote." Mason declared calmly. "A vote to determine what we should do. Or perhaps a discussion? Sam, do you agree?"
"Okay." I relented. "Recognising the dangers of both plans, taking to road or continuing to follow the rivers, what is the decision?"

Sam was challenging me, And I hated it. I didn't like it one bit. I narrowed my eyes, trying to convince him, its the right thing to do. If we were going to dodge the sleepers. Then we needed to take the most straightfoward path possible. Which was obvously going to be the road. But when Mason announced a vote I agreed for once, People seem to listen to me, because I'm good at tracking and hunting, the group knows I would be the one to follow. But Sam is the leader of this group, so they would probrably trust him, more then me, which is smart.
Before anyone could speak I annouced, "Before you guys say anything-" I started, I looked around at the group, making sure they were all listening.
"The roads are better. They will lead us to the right place, and we could seek directions or help if needed be. If we follow the river, we could become easily lost and loose track of where the sleepers had gone, they could be trying to trick us, because they know we are going the way that has no straightfoward path. They know Sam." I glanced at him. " The roads lead to the city, not to the forest. The sleepers would probrably keep place here, if they werent trying to fool us." I said crossing my arms.
"Now, vote." I grinned.

I sat up, and looked at everyone. Everyone was thrown off to the side of the river. Thankfully, everyone wasn't hurt badly. A month had passed like the wind. I stood up, and brushed the dust out of my shirt and jeans. I stretch out my arms and looked around. Sam was making his weapons which were arrows, and everyone else were up and looked happier. I stared at little Claire, who was hugging her soft toy. She was the one who looked the most happy and somewhat bright.
Sam blew out 3 whistles. I looked at him and flashed him a smile. Claire, who didn't seem to bother on the note of the whistles, was looking at me. She continued playing with her toy.
"Darling, I think you should listen to what Sam has to say. He blew the whistle." I said to her.
She looked at me and then on to Sam, but she didn't know what I was talking about. I tried explaining it to her, and get her focus on the talking.
"Hello, everyone." Sam glanced at me and grinned.
"Claire... Listen to Sam." I said, calmly but it didn't work. I gave up.
I'm going to be a bad father.
Sam resumed speaking, "As you know, we can't stay here forever. We have to keep moving." Everyone nodded, including me. "Unfortunately, I don't know which direction to go and with Winter coming in a few short months, we don't want to screw this up. We need the shortest, fastest way, West. Any ideas?"
I gave a thought about for a second. Lorana spoke, "Sam, we have to take to the road. It makes sense right now, roads are straightforward and easy to follow."
What? No!
"No, I don't think so. The roads are different now." I heard someone saying.
"No Sam. The Sleepers will be gone by now. It more dangerous to be back here. I saw one of those animals the other day. There'll be more and more T-Critters as we approach farmland. We have to go for the road." Lorana said, fighting back.
This wasn't working. We'll get into an argument. Before anything could happen, I declared a statement, "A vote. A vote should determine what we should do. Do you agree, Sam?" I gazed at Sam.
"Okay." He agreed. "Recognizing the risk of both plans, taking the road or following the rivers, what is the decision?"
I thought about it. Then, I decided my opinion.
"I think... We should follow the rivers." I said, standing up and looking upon everyone.
"I think so too." Ritika joining in.
"No! The roads are better. They will lead us to the right place, and we could seek directions or help if needed be. If we follow the river, we could become easily lost and loose track of where the sleepers had gone, they could be trying to trick us, because they know we are going the way that has no straightfoward path. They know Sam." Lorana said. "The roads lead to the city, not to the forest. The sleepers would probrably keep place here, if they werent trying to fool us."
"Now, vote." she grinned.
"Okay. Let's see Mason's and Ritika's reason." Sam said.
Ah. I was waiting for this one.
"Why do you think, we landed at the river-side, then? Maybe it is some clue. And Lorana, how do you know if the The Sleepers are fooling us? They might be fooling us to take the roads too! So, we can't really guarantee it." I said, being reasonable.
"Yes! Also, some direction boards are wrong. So, we can't really trust them." Ritika said, supporting me.
"Exactly." I replied. "Now, vote." I said, and looked over at Lorana. She gave this really wicked smile which made me laugh. She was tough.

Lorana shook her head. I saw her giggling a little. Everyone looked at me and was trying to find a reason to why I was laughing. I stopped and cleared my throat.
To my surprise, Claire stood up, giving her soft toy to me. She thanked me and spoke, "I have an idea. May I say it?"
Sam stood wide-eyed and for a few seconds, he couldn't reply. Then, he snapped back to reality, and said, "Yes. Sure. Go ahead, Claire."
"Instead of arguing, why not follow the river, first? I'm sure they'd be an end to this river soon. That time, we can continue walking to the roads. Lorana and Mason, both have good reasons. We can't exactly vote over them. Its too hard."
What an excellent idea!
"Yes! Why hadn't I thought of that? The river always has an end." Sam said, telling everyone. "Good job, Claire!"
Claire blushed and I handed over her teddy bear back. She was one intelligent girl. Overwhelmed, Claire, sat down and gave a huge, hearty smile.
I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living.
I'm freaking seventeen and a nine year old had a better idea then me. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
Fine.
I looked over ar Claire and decided to take pity on her, she was just so cute. I let out a small smile at her. She sat down on a log and I sat down next to her. "You need some style." I giggled.
She giggled back at me and I nodded, smiling. I picked a flower from beside me and put it behind her ear. "You look beautiful." I whispered to her.
She was amazing, a nine year old, thats calm enough to have such a smart idea like that. I looked up at Mason. "Fine, We'll take the rivers."
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!
Claire I sat in the dirt watching all the old kids messing around. I wasn't very sure what they were al doing, but it didn't matter. Mason sat next to me, and I smiled up at him. He was big, and kind of scary, but he had a nice voice. "Pay attention, Claire!" He murmured. I ignored him, prefering to keep hold of my bear. It was getting dirty, but the fur was still soft. Some more arguments went on, so I finally decided to listen. They were trying to decide which road to take. Silly big kids. I thought to myself, raising my hand to talk. Sam gave me permission to give my idea, so I did. "Instead of arguing, why not follow the river, first? I'm sure they'd be an end to this river soon. That time, we can continue walking to the roads. Lorana and Mason, both have good reasons. We can't exactly vote over them. Its too hard." I felt grown up giving my idea, and even more when they all nodded and looked happy. It made me feel bubbly inside. It seemed like the decision was made, so I slipped off my shoes and put them in my little suitcase. I scooted over to Mason and put the bag in his hand. He laughed, but agreed to carry it. I then skipped over to the water and started skipping over the rocks, ignoring Sam's warning. There weren't any scary-walking-angry-old-people here, so I didn't see anything wrong with having fun.

Sorry it's short. I didn't quite know how to introduce her into the story.
Ali
The river or the streets? Ali didn't no, nor did she care. It wasn't her decision, in her opinion. Staying silent as the discussion furthers, she glanced at the forest around her, a nostalgic feeling swallowing her gut.
Little Claire spoke up, deciding for all of them. River it is. Ali stuck to the back of the group, arms crossed tight over her chest, and followed. Her mind wandered as her feet kept her in the right direction, an old tale playing in her head...
