The Internet Cafe: Screen Cups

Arah (The Akachi)

"That explains it," he said buying the story. He smiled at her. "I'm gonna go order some food and get a refill," he told her standing up and returning to the counter.

Lis (Recruited)

Lis nods as he walks to the counter. She glances out the window again, watching as her father rushes to meet up with her brother. There's a cloth bag in his hands.
He's gonna kill me if he finds out I talked.

Arah (The Akachi)

He ordered the same drink and a large pizza before carrying the pizza and his drink back to the table. "If you want some, you can have some," he said smiling. In the distance, he heard sirens and smiled that he could stop holding himself back and could enjoy himself.

Lis (Recruited)

Smiling, she takes one of the smallest pieces. She hears the sirens and automatically tenses, trying to ignore them.
"So, tell me more about yourself." She tries to take her mind off of it.

Arah (The Akachi)

"Have you heard on the news about a few kids stopping these weird monsters, like black orbs that if you touch you die? Well, I'm one of them. I use my weapons to fight, summon monsters, or to use my Blood Weapons," he replied cursing himself for explaining his powers.

Lis (Recruited)

She is surprised at Arah, smiling. "Wow. That's really interesting. What kind of monsters do you fight?"

Arah (The AKachi)

"Just monsters that threaten the world," he replied coolly. "What about you? What do you do?," he asked.

Lis (Recruited)

She still tenses at the question, even if she expected it.
"I'm with them." She motions to the window as she speaks of her brother and father.

Arah (The Akachi)

He nodded. "I know, do you want to go to them?" he asked her frowning slightly at the thought of her leaving.

Lis (Recruited)

"Not yet." She replies, shifting uncomfortably in her seat. "I'll wait for them to send for me. I don't really wanna leave just yet."

Arah (The Akachi)

Arah smiled at her choice to stay and covered her hands with his. "I didn't really want you to go anyway," he said smiling.

Lis (Recruited)

Lis' heart flutters when Arah covers her hands with his and tells her he didn't want her to leave. A shy smile spreads across her lips, something very unlike her, and she finds that she doesn't know what to say to that.

Arah (The Akachi)

Arah thought he saw the boy motioning to Lis. "I think you're being called out," he told her.

Lis (Recruited)

She tries not to groan when her brother waves for her.
"Can I see you again sometime, Arah?" She asks.

Arah (The Akachi)

Arah nodded. "Anytime Lis," he told her before gently kissing her cheek and watch her go.
