The Internet Cafe: Screen Cups

Arah (The Akachi)

He led her to their table and gently helped her into her chair. He ran off and got some cake and coffee and came back, setting them on the table.

"What have you been up to?" he asked her.

Lis (Recruited)

Arah helps her sit down and she smiles, watching as he gets them food and drink. She smiles as he sits down and asks what she's been up to. She bites her lip and looks down, her ribs still bothering her.

"Uh, my father dragged my brother and I into something we couldn't handle." She sips her coffee. "It didn't quite end well."

She forces a smile and looks up at him.

"But what about you? What have you been up to?" She asks.

Arah (The Akachi)

"Well, more and more danger has appeared, and I've been in constant battle," he said sipping his coffee.

Lis (Recruited)

She nods, smiling. "I'm glad you're okay then."

Arah (The Akachi)

Arah smiled. "I am too," he said. He put his hand over her's, tracing it.

Lis (Recruited)

She smiles, her heart fluttering at his movement. She sighs of relief that he hasn't yet noticed that she's injured.

Arah (The Akachi)

He heard her sigh of relief and that attracted his attention. He hadn't let on that he felt the injury, but kept it to himself.

Lis (Recruited)

She squeezes his hand and takes a sip of her coffee, glancing down.

Arah (The Akachi)

"What happened?" he suddenly said.

Lis (Recruited)

She looks up at him, taken off guard. "I-I told you. My father dragged my brother and I into something. It didn't end well..."

Arah (The Akachi)

He looked at her frowning. "I wish I could've been there to protect you," he said.

Lis (Recruited)

She smiles, her heart fluttering at his words. "I-I - " She doesn't know what to say in response.

(Are you going to switch then? Lol)

Arah (The Akachi)

He smiled and his head drooped a little. "I haven't gotten enough sleep lately," he said.

Lis (Recruited)

She flashes a smile. "You should get some rest then."

Arah (The Akachi)

I frowned looking at Lis. "I miss you," I say.
