Drake-
"I want to see you without your mask on," I said, before thinking about it. Curiousity killed the cat, let's see if it's as deadly to a theif.

Rutila "The Black Dagger" Nixion

I exhaled in anticipation for what he would have said, but I still feared he may recognize me regardless. I took a deep breath.

"Mask, de-attach." I said reaching up for it."

I pulled my mask off and let my brunette black hair fall out, I shake my head to make sure it all comes down. I run my hand though and then look Drake in the eyes as he takes on first time seeing my face.

Drake-
"Miss Nixion?" I ask. I can barely recognize her. Her eyes no longer compete against gobs of makeup, she isn't trapped in some silly dress or hiding behind some mask or fake smile. This is the real Rutila and she's beautiful. I reach a hand out and brush stray wisps of black-brown hair from her face.

Rutila Nixion

His hand brushes a few strays aside, but he's well aware of who I was, I smile as I place the mask face up on my bed.

"In the flesh." I say with a smile.

Drake now the third person outside the family to see me without my mask, the first two being Micah and Jesse.

Drake-
"In the flesh," she says, setting the mask down. I don't know what comes over me, but I move closer to her, cupping her chin. I can feel her breath on my face. She must know how much I want to kiss her now, but I pause a moment, waiting for her to push me away.

Rutila Nixion - Love Struck

Inchs away from my face I finally notice how handsome Drake was, he takes my chin in his hand and I finally lean in and our lips meet for the first time. We exchange a romantic and passionate kiss for what seemed hours in only a short few minutes, before he finally pulls away. I longed already to feel Drake's lips against mine again.

Drake-
We kiss. All the cliches ever said about first kisses, none of them come close to this. Where our lips meet, I'm not sure where I stop and she begins, and I don't care, I just know that no matter how close she is, it will never be close enough. Any expectations I had about happiness are shattered, not coming close to the euphoria of this kiss. I'm in love. Someone would care if I died now. Someone would weep at my funeral. For the first time since the fire, I'm not alone.
And then, I do the dumbest thing I could possibly do. I think. And then it hits me.
Even though this kiss changes everything, it doesn't change anything. We're still in a death-match competition, I'm still going to die soon, and Rutila will still kill, maybe even me. I pull away, staring down at her.
"We're in trouble now, aren't we?" I ask.

Rutila Nixion

"Not even." I said.

I lean up to kiss Drake again, our lips meeting once more as I wrap my arms around Drake's neck. I feel his arms around me taking me into his imbrace, our bodies pressed up against one another, thats when I hear the door open.

Everyone leaves me, running ahead to the mansion. Rutila is swept away by someone and Jesse disappears. Raphael died. Octavius is..somewhere, i'm not sure.
Sighing, I head up to Rutila's room; I really need to speak with her. In my daze, I open the door without knocking - my first mistake. Drake and Rutila are liplocked, and I'd just walked into that - my second.
I rush to close the door, shutting myself out, and feel a mix of everything: anger, heartbreak, jealousy, self-pity, hatred, and loathing. Before anything else can happen, I hurry down the stairs and outside. I take a deep breath and look around, not sure what I'm doing.
Realizing that I'd completely forgotten about Jesse and how she might take this, I run back inside and bury as many of my feelings as I can. I knock on her door and tell her it's me - my last mistake.
I'm never what I like
I'm double sided
And I just can't hide
I kind of like it
When I make you cry
'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up

I was in my room, brusing my hair, even though I know it didn't need brushing. I heard someone knock on my door and hoped it was Rutila. I really needed to talk to her. I composed myself and slowly swung it open to see Micah.

Great. Just great.

I sighed and turned away from him, laying back down on my bed, covering my face with my hands. "What do you want?"

I watch her, bitter towards me, and I don't understand.
"What's the problem, Jess?" I ask, shutting the door behind me. "If it's about what happened with Rutila, I already paid for that. Don't patronize me."
The emotions flood me again and I have to look down for a second.

I sit up and look at him, my eyes still red from crying.

"I don't give a shit If you already paid for that. You told me to trust you. And guess what? I did. But your just like every other guy. You just can't get enough from one person. You just have to go and find someone else." I snapped at him, my voice slightly rising.

I look back up at her.
"What the hell are you talking about?" I ask. "First, we've talked about my..my screwed up feelings. Second, I saved her. Big deal. If it was you, you would have done the same thing."
My voice rises and I realize I've taken a step forward, though I stand my ground.

I turn around to face him, "See! Right there. That's what I'm talking about." I say, angrily.

"You Don't know what I'm feeling. You don't know what your saying do you? You basicially just fucking said You, saving some other girl, when you told me to trust YOU, is no big deal. Yeah. Right." I said, looking up at him.

"Saving her is not kissing her or being in anyway unfaithful!" I snap. "I told you to trust me because of what's going to happen in the end! One of us is going to die and I told you to trust me so that you knew it wouldn't be you!"
I take a breath, my emotions threatening to break me, and run a hand through my hair.
"Don't criticize me on fucking feelings." I tell her, calmer. "You haven't been through what I have. You don't know me."

No, it's not that you didn't succeed. You accomplished a lot, but, if you want to touch people, don't concentrate so much on rhyme and metre. Think more about what you want to say instead of how you're saying it.
