Micah

Jesse helps me into the building and sets me on one of the red plush couches, pressing an ice pack on my ankle after setting it over a pillow and taking my boot off. It's bruised, almost bluish, and I'm exhausted. But I see Jesse smile at me and can't help but smile back.
"Whatcha grinning for, blondie?" I ask.
Then I wonder where Rutila is and look around the room nonchallantly for her.
I'm never what I like
I'm double sided
And I just can't hide
I kind of like it
When I make you cry
'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up

Jesse

I shrug, "Nothing." I smiled again and shake my head at him. He has cute in a way. I put more pressure on his ankle. "The pressure will help. It will become numb and that helps." I told him.

the room was so beautiful. i dont think i had ever seen a huge room with soo much light. i looked down at my clothes and see that smoke had stained it along with my face.i looked at my reflection in the mirror. it's the first time i had ever seen myself so clearly. i tried touching the face of the reflected me.
this wasn't the time to stare at myself in the mirror. i looked around observing the room, looking for possible emergency exits if need demanded. from the corner of my eye i saw drake glaring at me. i didn't know why i got this weird feeling.

Drake-
She looks in the mirror, a surprised look coming over her face. She reaches for her expression, as if she's never seen the girl in the mirror before, then pulls away, a slight blush coming over her face; so faint most people wouldn't notice it and think she was emotionless. The idea's ludicrous, but I wonder if she's made of glass. The room is nice, but it can't hold a candle to her. It's as if the air is brighter around her; like the light is coming from her.

Ivan Kirill

Ivan sat on the ground and just thought to himself for a moment. Drake and Mouse had run off to get eloped, or at least that's what he was convincing himself had happened, and Cassie was sitting beside him, humming and doing whatever it was that Cassie did when she wasn't talking or being awkward. He needed to know how to win this thing/ There was a veteran, that masked girl, and if he was going to beat her he needed strength and strong alliances. Maybe he should start being nicer to the rest of the contestants. He wouldn't get anywhere with everyone hating him.

It was going to be hard, but Ivan was a good actor when he really wanted something.

When Ronaldo led them into their residing place Ivan went immediately over to Jesse. She just glared at him, but he put on a sincere face and gave a weak smile.

"Sorry for... the face thing... Yeah, bye."

He walked off quickly as to avoid further questioning and then approached Micah. He was lying on a bench with his bad leg stuck out.

"Micah, hey. I just came to apologize for the whole rope thing. I don't like losing, guess I got out of hand..."

He walked away again, back towards Cassie who seemed to be waiting for him. He was almost positive that they still hated him and thought he was just a liar, but with some hard work he'd have to prove them wrong. This game was important and he refused to lose it.

I rolled my eyes at Ivan's apology. Fake. I looked back at Micah, "Don't listen to him, he just wants to win."

*ReisePiecey, you should check out the DT, it's awesome!*
Drake-
I almost laughed as I overheard Ivan trying to actually be nice. It must've tooken him a lot of will power to actually say he was sorry for something. I see him head back towards Cassie and walk up to Mouse, nervous for some reason.
"It seems we're having a team meeting, so you might want to come over here... yeah," hI said, not knowing why my hands were suddenly so sweaty, "you don't have to answer, but... do you like being called Mouse, or would you prefer something else?"

Micah

Ivan comes over and apologizes to both me and Jesse. All I can think is - What a load of bull. And apparently, Jesse thinks the same from what she said.
"I know." I say. "He's playing nice. It won't last."
She smiles again and I grin back, something inside me screaming to find Rutila too.
"Hey, I think we should group up." I say. "Could you find Rutila for me? And Octavius. He and I've got a pact."

"It's... okay," she said, talking for the first time. Her voice is slightly raw from disuse, but still beautiful.
"What would you prefer?" I ask, unable to take my eyes off of her, holding my breath to see if she'll speak again.

drake was asking me alot of question (in my opinion) but i kind of liked being asked which i would prefer. i loved the name i was given when i was born but it was to precious for me to give it out.
i prefered the nick name ice. people dont bother you with a nick name like that. but mouse made you sound helpless.
"ice...just ice" i turned away from drake and quickly walked away. i couldn't stand answering another question with a sentence. it was overwhelming.

Drake-
There was a flash in her eyes before she answered.
"Ice, just Ice," she said, then hurried away. I was worried I'd asked too many questions, but stayed where I was, wanting to give Ice her space. I can see why they called her Ice. There was something cold about her, not in a harsh sort of way, but a sweet sort of way. I didn't know how to explain it though.

Cassie Brown

Maybe I should write a poem for Ivan, for Micah, for everybody. Everyone likes gifts, especially poetry.

Oh Ivan Kirill
Your looks are unreal

I don't know.

Dear Micah

What rhymes with Micah? Nothing...

Oh my lovely Mouse
We should move into a house

Ugh!

I love you Drake
That's no mistake
I wish we could make...

What?

I hate making friends, I wish I was back in my shop. It was easier to talk to people down there. I don't think I should go spouting out poetry, I'm no Shakespeare. Anyway, I don't have to think for long because Ivan's walking over here.

"Hello Ivan. You look troubled."

"Hey Cass."

"So are you?"

"Am I what?"

"Troubled."

He looked up at me, and I blushed hard. I just need to stop talking when I'm around him. I always make a fool of myself. Maybe I should smile. No, smiling's not working. He smiles back so I must be doing something right. Or maybe he's laughing at me.

"I'm fine, Cass."

"Great. Great. Are you sure you don't need those burns taken care of?"

"I'm not hurt."

"Yes you are, you wince every time you move. It's okay, there should be a health kit around here."

The kit wasn't to hard to find, though I had to ask around. Ivan was still waiting, and I tried not to talk as I cleaned and wrapped some of his burns. When I was done I just sat there... awkwardly... where was Ronaldo?

"So... yeah... I'm done."

"Yeah. Thanks."

"Oh it's totally fine!"

Why am I yelling? Why am I sitting so close to him? Why is he looking at me. Why am I so weird?

"Okay, bye."

"Calm down, Cassie. I'm not going to stab you."

Really, that's relaxing.
