Name: Monique 'Minx' de Arcaniis
Gender: Female
Age: 24

Nationality: Spanish-Irish mix.
Position: Gun handler (Gunslinger)

Appearance: Tall, over 5'5 with long, dark hair. She has fiery green eyes, a trait inherited from her Irish mother. She's usually dressed in things which let her move around easily - anything from shorts and tank tops with converse (she has small feet) to short dresses and high heels.
Spoiler
Image

History: Monique lived with her family in New York till she was 15 years old. They were a normal family - or so she believed - till the night a couple of men came and gunned her entire family down. She - being a gymnast at the time - had good reflexes, so she grabbed her younger sister and got out via the fire escape. Unfortunately, said sister was also shot, and Monique watched her bleed to death, and this gave rise to her current personality - cynical and nihilistic to a T.
She was part of the Street Rats, a gang of teenagers who messed around with everything from drugs to guns. Once, on a heist-and-kidnapping gone horribly wrong (the kid they were trying to kidnap was the son of a mafia boss - needless to say, they ran for their lives on finding out) she was caught by a gang. Instead of selling her or putting her to unsavoury uses, she was trained to be a gunhandler - after she shot down 5 of their men with a small Beretta she was carrying.

Personality: Monique is cynical, nihilistic and sarcastic. She can be bitey, and sometimes, very difficult to get along with. She doesn't like getting close to people - she fears losing them too much. she is a cold-blooded killer, and loves a good challenge.

Other: She joined the Grand heist, hoping to make herself known as one of the best gunhandlers in criminal history - even if they all go to jail by the end of it.

Up for love: Nah. She's too cynical for that.

Ok guys, everyone is here and we are finally ready to start! So without further ado, I give you: The Grand Heist

_____________________________________________________________________
Richard

The living room was dark and silent, lit only by a single lamp in the desolate left corner of the room. Dominic and I were leaning over the raised coffee table examing the blueprints of the GBFC for the umpteenth time, getting it all memorised in our heads. Korey and Demitri were sitting on the cream sofa, sharing a light, the blue smoke from the cigarrettes creating an odd haze lining the ceiling. I could hear the youngest of the group, Gabi, tapping away on the keyboard of her laptop, sat at the dining room table. Monique and Lucas seemed to be debating as to whether guns or bombs where better; and the only member of the group I didn't have my eyes or ears on was Izabel. She was probably in the room, being silent; that she was good at, undoubtably.

This misfit group of criminal specialists was exceptional in their performance, that I made sure of. All with their own motivations, but all I really cared about was Lola, I was only doing this for her. Each member of the group would leave with 5 trillion dollars if this all went well, and I would keep the remaining 15 so I could pay of the scientists and loan sharks, buy a nice piece of land somewhere far away, and generally live the good life until my time came. But, for a two letter word, 'if' is the biggest of them all. This might all go terribly wrong, and if it did, everybody would suffer; but they knew the odds, I warned them before they signed up.

"Got it" Dominic said, breaking the cold silence. "Although complex and slightly different, the structure seems relatively original, and therefore navigable. So with the right timing and equipment, we should be able to pull this off"

"Should" I emphasised, "but we can't get ahead of ourselves. We don't have all of the equipment ready yet. As much as we can draft plans about how it should go, we need to wait until we can decipher how it will go."

"I concur" Dominic said, readily agreeing with me.

"Well," I replied " I'm going to go hit the hay. Tommorrow, we'll comence the first stage of the operation. Goodnight everyone."

Monique said guns were better. No way. No, unless it exploded it wasn't worth it. Bombs. Now, they were something. But no convincing her of that. She didn't have any of it, countering each thing I said with something about her precious guns. Ah, whatever. No need in wasting time with arguments.

"Well, I'm going to hit the hay. Tommorow, we'll comence the first stage of the operation. Goodnight everyone." Richard said, standing and leaving.

I didn't say goodnight back. It'd be weird.

But I decided that sleep would be good. I excused myself from Monique's presence and head to the room deemed mine. It was plain, with plain sheets on a plain bed surrounded by plain walls. I liked plain. It was easier to change when it exploded.

The first stage of the operation apparently consisted of several madcap personalities flying around the house, a mug of steaming coffee in one hand, attempting wildly to get done what needed to be done. I had done my bit, as had Richard and Dmitri and Korey; rehearsing the plan in my head; completing the physical plans and handing them round; perfecting the fundamentals of protection and melee weaponry; packing, preparing and (when required) fixing the unassuming, large white van for a long drive, respectively.

As it transpired, Lucas had not quite finished testing the explosives, Monique's machine guns still needed loading and Gabi's laptop was still charging.

Richard, stood up from the sofa.

"Christ!" he yelled to those three. "We are leaving in half an hour. Finish this thing."

He sat, and I arched an eyebrow at him, shaking my head. He tutted and raised his head slightly. I know right that look said. He passed me my plan of action, and I smiled.

"I like this bit," I said. "'Lucas, Dmitri and Richard zip-wire from the adjacent skyscraper (Daily Messenger newspaper main offices) onto the GBF Centre.'" And at this point I grinned. "'Dominic stays in the van.'"

Richard smiled back.

"How will we-" I began, quizzical, but he snatched up the pack, tipping it upside down. Several cards adorned with my face, age and (fake) occupation fell out.
"Fake IDs," I smiled, again. "For... the Daily Messenger, the GBF Centre and..."

"Any adjacent businesses."

"And they say I'm the genius," I joked and we laughed for a short while, before Lucas tripped on the wire he was trailing about the place and spilt his coffee over Richard's suit.

Gabi

Hacking, hacking, hacking...Focus Gabi, you gotta get this right.

I typed on my laptop, why can't this thing be easy? I hit the passcode, and put in a secret code that always works, to get inside. "Got it!" I said lifting my hands off the keyboard.

Everyone looked at me, "What?" Richard walked over. I smiled, "I got inside the master courtroom. Inside that courtroom there are lockers. But, we have to find out the right locker that has the code to to the real thing." I nodded. "We're at a start."

I started typing again, for the username.

I put it in.

How come it's not working??

I typed it in over and over again, those stupid computers. "Never mind... But I did manage to get a 3D map of the building. If that helps." I shrugged. I clicked the mouse and turned the screen to Richard. "See, this is the first floor. I managed to set up a camera by the guards, so we know when their on duty and off duty. There are motion felt lazers so we need to go through the doors quick before the alarm goes off. I'm still trying to turn them off from here but theres a secret code I need."

I laughed, and took a swig of vodka. Right now, I was desperate for a taste of the Motherland.
"Need secret code, huh little girl? Dmitri show you secret code:" I pulled my Desert Eagle out and slammed it on the table, "And if that dos not work:" I shouldered an assault rifle, chewing on the end of my cigar as I puffed smoke in the girl's face. She recoiled, and I laughed heartily. Richard moved as if to intervene in any violence which might occur, but for now I was happy to sit and let the girl have her fun. Soon the capitalist piggies would be holding their heads in their hands, all thanks to this team, even if, for now, it would be the little girl who did all the work.

For the most part I just listened to what the others where doing. They had time to prepare for there jobs, but mine was just a tad different. You needed to be able to think quick and expect the unexpected. The only prep work my job partially needed was changing what I look like. Speaking of prep work, I needed to get started. Walking over to Richard, I stopped next to him.

"What do you need me to do?" I questioned.

Lucas, that bastard. Fucking idiot didn't understand. Him and his stupid exploding playthings. If one of those was set up wrong, the entire place would go down. And take us with it, Monique thought bitterly.
Oh well, she thought, watching his receding back, Time to get some rest.

Next morning, things were in a frenzy. She'd had an old night are, and slept badly. Which, as usual, made her oversleep.
She'd forgotten to load her Machine guns. She wasn't the only one.
Apparently, Lucas hadn't tested the explosives yet.
And, last she'd heard, Gabi's laptop was still on charge.
Which could only mean one thing....
"Christ!" yelled Richard. "We are leaving in half an hour. Finish this thing."

Right on time. Monique grimaced, and continued locking the guns. His was going to be a long day.

"Christ!" I yelled. "We're leaving in half an hour, finish this thing." I didn't mean to shout, but the nerves were getting to me; only five days until the heist. We were still in prep; we needed the vehicle for Korey; the job in the bank for Izabel; the explosives for Lucas; and finally, we needed to draft the final plan of action.

Today was a tight schedule, however. I was sending Lucas, Korey and Monique to collect the C4 packs that were being shipped to the docks, there they would recieve the truck load and drive down to rented garage on Jive Street. This particular operation would be half-finished, but this was undoubtably the longest process of the preparation. We had entitled this plan: 'Operation Boom Bang Crash!' because that was what the plan in itself was escalating to.

After persuading Gabi to take a break from hacking the mainframe of the GBF, she forged two fake ID's for Izabel and Dominic, where they would pose as father and daughter (although in appearance that relationship could be doubted). Izabel could get an interview for an inside job at the centre, and Dominic could meet the employees. The plan for him, considering he was the genius, to talk to the staff and attempt to squeeze little pieces of information from them in conversation.

Gabi, Dmitri and I would stay at the safehouse, where I would brief the brute on his role in the scheme, and Gabi would continue to assault the many firewalls in the system of the GBF. After dismissing everyone to their duties, I went off to make myself a sandwich.

Dmitri

I was practically asleep when Richard entered the room, chewing thoughtfully on the remnants of a BLT. I looked at my own meal- half-stale bread and a block of cheese.
It was appetising enough. I took a bite.
"Dmitri, I have a challenge for you." Richard said around his mouthful.
I stood. "Dmitri Petr Lazlovsky welcomes challenge!"
"Good," Richard seemed unfased, "Because this is the motherload."

Once they'd settled everything, Monique, Korey and Lucas took the van out to the docks. Lucas had called shotgun, so Monique took the backseat, Richard's warning still ringing in her ears.
They were to pick up the packs of C4 that were being shipped - that, and nothing else. The last bit had been aimed specifically at Monique, who had a habit of indulging in liquor trades whenever she visited the docks.

The docks weren't too far from HQ, so they were there in no time. Monique tucked a Berreta into the back of her short-shorts as she got off the van.
"Wher're we headed?" she asked.
"Look for dock 13." replied Lucas.
She shot him a look which clearly read Seriously?, but he just shrugged. "Hey, I didn't pick the location."
"I'll stay here. Pick you up in fifteen." Korey said, driving off.
Monique watched as he sped away, and then turned Lucas.
"Shall we?" she asked, sarcastic.

They found the dock easily enough. The owner didn't eventry to be elusive.
"Why should I sell it to you? I can make a killing if I ship these individually, y'know?" he asked. "In fact, I think I'll do exactly that."
Monique looked over at Lucas. At his nod, she slid out her gun. "Mr. Owner. None of us wants any unpleasantness, do we? Why don't you hand over the explosives, like our deal mentions, hmm? Maybe I'll let you walk away with both feet then."
The owner sniggered. "Yeah right. I'm supposed to believe you won't kill me anyways?" he asked.
"We won't if you follow the agreement. The money for your explosives. What d'you say?"
"I think this talk is over."
He got up and turned to leave. Suddenly, there was the sound of shots being fired - two, to be precise. A moment later, the guy lay dead.
"Grab the explosives and go." she told Lucas.
"What did you do? That guy was one of my best suppliers!" Lucas yelled

Nah, that's fine.

P.s I think the Driver is called 'Corey'

Richard

"Good, because this is the motherload" I grinned; it was good to see one of the crew being enthusiastic about the whole thing. "I am well aware that your skills excell greatly in unarmed combat, as well as melee. For this reason, your role within the team will be risky; confronting possible dangers to our operations."

"Confrontation easily dealt with" the bald Belarusian smiled, a brutal tone edging his voice. As much as I would have been disturbed by the certainty of the henchman's answer, I couldn't help huffing in humour.

"Spectacular," I laughed "well then, I'm confident that you will not pass up this opportunity to, shall we say: 'bust some heads'?"

Dmitri's face beamed lust for violence and adreniline.

I threw the keys to the old chevrolet at Gabi, and they smacked her dead in the face, causing her to swear spontaniously. Her head shot to my direction and frowned aggressively. "We're going for a drive" I informed her, sweeping the keys off the coffee table, the rattling of metal filling the room.

"Have fun" she replied, turning back to her laptop, resuming her operation.

I shut the screen of the laptop, and placed my hand on the hacker's shoulder. "Your coming with us" I smiled.

Gabi

The keys smacked my face and I sweared,

Damn...

He tells me that we're going for a ride and I sighed, "Have fun." He smacks my laptop down and I look up at him furiously. "Your coming with us." He smiled. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my laptop. "Fine, but I'm not going to stop on this thing until I get this fucking thing right." I said walking past him and out the door.

I get in the car and slam the door shut. I climb in the very back, in the corner and open my laptop again, resuming my task.

I sat in the back seat of the Chevrolet, as I had been for at least an hour, Richard driving and Gabi typing furiously next to me. Richard still hadn't told us where we were going, and try as I might, I couldn't get the information out of him. 'You'll see' he kept saying, always 'you'll see'. It was grinding on me now, not knowing where he was taking us. I don't like to be lead, and this definitely rankled.
"Here we are," Richard called over his shoulder, rousing me from my suspicious thoughts. I couldn't identify where exactly Richard had pulled up- everywhere looked identical in this neighbourhood- but something in his tone said he was less excited, more... afraid? I was unsure, but Richard didn't speak again as the three of us climbed out of the car and trudged in unison to knock on the battered blue door of one of the houses.
