"I'm interested in what these missions you are sending us on are. Care to enlighten us?" Ailsa asked Brent.
For the majority of the morning, I'd remained quiet. I had observed the others, eaten some pancakes and generally kept myself out of the limelight. Now though, I spoke up.
"Yeah Brent, stop keeping us in the dark. What are we going to be doing for the rest of our stay here?"
The others quickly joined in, calling for information.

Everyone finished their pancakes rather quickly. As soon as they were done they started to question Brent about what kind of missions we were going to have. I watched as he thought about how to answer. His mouth opened to reply, but then more questions were shot in his direction.

How can they expect him to answer when they keep asking questions? I thought with a sigh.

Brent looked harrassed. Well, as harassed as a guy who'd committed a triple homicide can look anyways. Which was, apparently, a lot.
People kept asking him questions - no one was actually giving him a chance to reply. She saw Hunter sigh with frustration.
Honestly, the jabber of everyone in the group was getting to her too. She was clearly not a morning person.
Irritated again, she whistled - loud enough that all present shut up immediately. They looked at her.
"Listen, why don'tnwe give Brent some room to breathe, and maybe a chance to talk, hmm? Oh, by the way, the next person to make a sound - besides Brent or Isaac - is going to be having a special dish for breakfast; and that's my fist. I don't want to turn this into a fight club again, so if all of you could kidly keep shut for a fuckin' minute, I'll shut up too. And maybe stop being so crabby."
"Married to music - 'nuff said."
"Freedom is everything to me."

Vixen practically screams to get everyone to shut up, threatening them with a hefty beating if they speak again. I sigh, running over my plans in my head, and try to form the correct response.

"As I said before, each mission, as you choose to call it, will suit each and everyone's talents." I say. "Murderers...if you decide to do so, you will kill. Hackers, you will hack. Thieves, you will steal. And so on..."

They don't seem as satisfied with my answer as I hoped, waiting for more. My eyes meet Hunter's gaze before giving in and looking away.

I clear my throat and sigh once more.

"If you are all so curious as to know the first mission, I will tell you." I say. "But think. Just hours ago - maybe even still - you didn't trust me. And now, you are expecting all of my plans to be revealed. Do you not think that I didn't trust you when you first walked through the door? That I am still uneasy about sharing each and every move I have plotted? What if one of you were to betray me? You would know my every weakness, my every move, though I do not know yous. That isn't fair, is it?"

Dallas~

Well it looks like the majority of the people here know what they will be doing.

I looked over at Shanaya who was sitting across from me,

The Shadow, grew up as a street rat, never knew family or manners. Turning to thievery as a coping method most likely. But still a child at heart, something tells me she'll enjoy a bit of prestidigitation

"Shanaya," I say, she looks at me

"What?" she says, still poking at her pancakes.

"I have something I want to show you." I said, grabbing into my pocket and grabbing my cards. They were ordinary playing cards, the faces had been rubbed off and I had wrote the words THIS, THAT, and OTHER on one of each of the cards. I have them in my hand face down.

"So a man walks up to me in the street one day, he has three cards in his hands. He says 'I'm gonna play a game with you, it involves three playing cards- I have this card." - I double lift the OTHER and THIS card, showing her the THIS card. Placing the OTHER card on the table.

"I have this card" - I showed her the THIS card, and placed it on top of the OTHER card.

"And I have that card" - I showed her the THAT card and placed on top of the pile. I picked them up,

"He said 'All I want you to do is follow the THAT card" - I showed her the THAT, then double lifted the THAT and THIS card and placed them on the bottom.

"He placed the THAT card on the bottom I say him do it, then I said 'Well that's easy, THAT card is on the bottom. He said 'No That's this card" - I showed her the THIS card.

"Then I said 'Well if THIS is on the bottom maybe THAT is on the top. Then He said 'No the top is also this card.'" I double lifted the THIS card back to the top and showed her.

"I said 'Well if THIS is on the top and the bottom, then THAT must be in the middle. He said 'No that's also this card' - I showed her the this card which was naturaly in that spot.

"Then I said, 'Well that's not fair you're using three THIS cards.' and he said 'No, I've got that on the bottom' - I showed her the THAT card which was on the bottom.

"I said 'Well that was THIS card just a minute ago' then he said 'Well THAT is tricky, it's also on the top' - I double lifted the THAT card to the top and showed her.

"I said 'Well that's unfair, you're using two THATs' he said 'Actually I'm using three, THAT's also in the middle.' - I took the THAT card from the middle and showed her. Placing it back on the top and double lifting the THAT and THIS card to the bottom.

"I said 'Well that's unfair, you've got three THATs' he said 'No, I've got this card, this card, and this card.' - I showed her the this card as if it was from the bottom, top, and middle with a fast paced move.

"Then I said 'Well it's looks like you've got three of everything' he laughed and said 'Well you've got to remember that in life, you get a little bit of this,' - I put the THIS card on the table.

"You get a little bit of that," - I placed the THAT card on the table

'But not much of the other." - I place the OTHER card on the table. (which she didn't even know I had)

"Holy Shit," she said.

Spoiler
Sorry if that was a little confusing, It was the only way to tell that story from Dallas' perspective :pirate2:

I started to feel a bit guilty.
"Okay but I still don't get it." I replied.

"Sounds fair enough." I say while standing up and dusting myself off. "By the way, now that we are done with breakfast; I think that I am going to start to the new base. Any disagreements?"

Not one person said a word.

"Good. I also think that it would be a good idea to travel by ourselves." I said offering a small smile in Vixen and Ailsa. Hoping they would understand. I then gave a small wave to the group and walked downstairs. Just because I was a killer doesn't mean that I couldn't be friendly. When I started to descend the stairs, I heard a few other people get up and follow. Swiftly I walked over to the corner I slept in, packed up and then walked through the door. Silently making a list of all the things I had to catch up on.

I was now extremely confused by Dallas and even more curious about Hunter. They both were top criminals and yet they both didn't argue with the others. I had always thought that criminals stayed separated because they could never get along.
"Mabye I was wrong." I muttered to myself.
"Wrong about what?" Dallas asked.
"Oh! I didn't see ya there!" I squeeked. "I always thought that criminals stayed separated because they would never get along. It seems I may have been mistaken."
Dallas laughed. "You were definatly wrong about that! It doesn't matter, 'cause now you can have some fun with the big kids instead of by yourself!"
I looked at him. "Thank-you." I said. "I have never really had any friends. Is it ok if I consider you my friend?"
I looked at him with wide eyes, like a lost child.
"If you want." He replied.

I pulled Brent aside while most of the 'family' was preoccupied with the very intricate card trick that Dallas had going.
"Look, Brent. I understand the whole 'not trusting us yet' but seriously, I need something to do, or I'm gonna go off my nut. I don't care if it's beat up a guy, kill a guy, get some money, dig up dirt on a guy or even go out and buy supplies. Please, just give me some kind of job."
He looked like he was pondering my request. I checked the others. Yep, still absorbed in the card trick. It looked damn complicated

"Please, just give me some kind of job." Mark pratically begs.

I sigh, thinking things over.

"How much do you know about Forrest Hill National Bank?" I whisper.

"How much do you know about Forrest National Bank?"
"Absolutely bugger all," I grin. "But I do know that the manager has some very strange sexual preferences. Want me to dig up some evidence?"

I over heard Brent and another guy talking about some dude with strange preferences. What the hell? I thought. To me it seemed strange that Brent would be so interested in it.

"Be ready to make an impression though. We're going to do this right." Brent laughed. I joined in. It felt good to be actively helping out.
"I may need some big muscle for the inevitable confrontation. Can I take someone dangerous for intimidation? Or do you need everyone for moving to the new digs?"

I sigh, scanning over the others.

"I would prefer you wait until everyone gets to the new place." I say, glancing back at Mark. "After that, you can have your pick at who you think would work best. After all, you are the expert in this field."
