Art Dump!

Yayy three different pictures~~
All three characters come from the same story! Homestuck again. Oi, I'm way too obsessed with this for my own good :3 but oh well.

These characters are Dirk and Jake, and they're my newest favorites :3
This was my first time ever drawing chibis, so I apologize if it's not very good XP I kinda rushed on the coloring, too.

Hey there! Man, I love your artwork...if I could draw like this, I would be one happy camper.

~ First ~
Well, it's kinda hard not to like chibis, isn't it? I don't know much about this style, so I can't give it a very informed review. They look great overall, and the background matches nicely.



~ Second ~
Definitely creepy, but I daresay she's the loveliest troll I've ever seen. My only nitpick is her horns (I think that's what they are?). The way they're angled, it looks like they on her head crooked. The one on her left almost looks like it's sticking out of her forehead, like a unicorn. Judging by the position of her right horn, the left should be more on the side of her head.
Other than that, it's great. Her expression is wonderfully manic, and I love the teeth. Excellent job angling the head; that's the part that always kills me...


~ Third ~
Um...I'm not sure what I think of this one...it's a very sweet picture, and the textures are great, but...why is the guy's fly undone? I know that's sort of a trend in manga-style drawings, but for some reason it creeps me out a bit since he's holding his little brother. >.> Also, his legs are at a strange angle. It looks like he's about to fall off the couch.


You definitely have a knack for color and texture. I greatly enjoy seeing your artwork...keep up the good work!

I love the coloring you did for all of these I love how clean and professional it looks.

The chibi characters are cute! I really like how you drew the mouths for some reason. Their faces are really adorable. Just a small suggestion, because I don't know how it would turn out, but maybe you could make the pupils black, or a little darker? Right now his eyes are almost one solid color. Or you could make the top half of the eyes slightly darker. I think it might make them pop out more, if that's what you were looking for.

Also, this is just my own preference, but I never liked how chibis have that amputated leg look. You know, where the legs just come down to stubby points. I think it would look better with a pair of cute shoes or something, but really it's your choice xD

I think the second picture is my favorite x) I think the colors go really well together and the hair is very pretty. You don't draw many girls so this was a surprise to me xD

I like the idea of the last picture, and everything's great. But I've got a few points. First, I'd say this dude looks more like his father than an older brother. And second, I have to agree with Payne on the open fly x) It just looks awkward. I've never really seen some guy's pants come apart while laying on a couch lol xD Maybe if just the button had come loose or if the pants had just slipped past his hips a bit. But here it looks like he just completely opened his pants and pulled down the zip before lying down with his brother x)

I can see improvement!! Keep it up!
