Ryder ~

The three of of them ran into the forest, quickening there pace. They scoured the arena for a cave or somewhere to sleep. They ran for a 30 minutes before Ryder collapsed to the ground in a fit of coughing and hacking. Blood covered his hand when he brought it back from his mouth.

"Oh my god Ryder," Reed looked at him.

"It's nothing, we have to find shelter. Let's keep moving." he said, he began to walk but was stopped by Des.

"You just coughed up blood Ryder!" she said, the tone in her voice dire.

"It doesn't matter! We need to find shelter, we can deal with me when we get there." he ushered them on into the forest.

omg, I haven't been on in soooo long. Just F.Y.I. if it's ok with Star, my guy is open for killing. I was grounded for the past two weeks and since it may happen again, I would like to participate in other storybooks that don't go quite as fast as this one. Thanks

Spoiler
this is what happened while I wasn't on

-Grabbed a backpack, and it contained, a knife, a loaf of bread and a bottle of water, rope, and a small roll of bandages.
-He ran for water while getting cut up by thorns in the process.
-Caught a duck, ate it for dinner before realizing that it was dying, by some unnatural disease.
-Currently, he is lying by the water bank, on his back, in constant pain by food poisoning...Covered in mud, leaves, sticks and flies.

Hey Vampire, my charcter is a girl.

Health 87/100 Hunger 89/100 Thirst 85/100

I stepped in front of him, an awkward face off seeing as I was so small and he was so tall. Usually I wouldn't be brave enough to confront someone like this, but this was an unusual day. People had died, crazy animals had attacked, and I had stared down an arrow. I was on the end of my rope at the moment.

"You just coughed up blood, Ryder!" I pleaded.

"It doesn't matter. We need to find shelter and we can deal with me when we get there," he answered, ushering Reed and I into the forest.

We followed, but I got the idea that Reed and I were thinking the same thing. If we didn't get help for Ryder soon, he wouldn't make it much longer.

The three of us continued walking through the forest, Ryder still coughing every now and then.

"Why didn't you tell anyone you were sick?" Reed demanded.

"Would it have mattered?" Ryder asked.

"You could've gotten help," I said. "I'm sure a doctor could've--"

"Fixed me up just to be killed? No thanks."

I frowned and stuck my hands in my pockets. If he wasn't going to listen to reason--

"Ssh, what's that?" Ryder asked, frozen in place.

I turned my head, listening for anything.

"Another moster?" asked Reed.

"No..." I replied, before grinning. Just what the doctor ordered. "I hear water!"

"Let's go."

We chraged through the leaves and branches, carefully edging around and through thorn bushes, all the while following the sound of a faint trickling sound. As we got closer the trickling rushing grew louder and louder into a rushing of water. Through the trees was a river. Finally--

The three of us halted immediately, looking down on the ground before the water. It was a body.

"Is he dead?" I whispered.
"Oh please don't tell me you're archaeologists."

"Do you have a problem with archaeologists?"

"I'm a time traveler. I laugh at archaeologists."

Fiske Reede/9/Talking to Des/ Health: 80 Thirst: 98 Hunger: 60

The crackling of twigs and leaves caused his eyes to fly open. A group of tributes were standing over him, he gasped, grabbed his knife, and scrambled into a sitting position. If they spotted him that easily, then he must have done a pretty crappy job at camoflauge.
"What do you want?" He rasped, his eyes sagging from lack of sleep. He moved his knife to point at each of them in turn. He was thinking of running, but he seriously doubted he could make it in his condition. If they were here to kill him, he would fight, if they were here to make an alliance, he would take it, he would probably need it.

I changed my mind, don't kill him yet!! Please? :smt009

Reed Willimon, District 11 female tribute:

Reed was still worried sick about Ryder, but when she saw Fiske lying by the water, her eyes welled up with tears. "Are you okay, Fiske?" she cried. She had to be honest with herself. She had never stopped thinking about him from the moment she left the Cornucopia.

Fiske seemed to be taken by surprise as Reed took a leap of faith by hugging him tightly. The District boy moved his knife away so he wouldn't accidentally stab her. When Reed pulled away, he looked slightly uneasy and confused. "I was hoping you had survived the first day, and here you are!" She took a deep breath and smiled. Ryder and Des exchanged quizzical glances.

"Um, Reed," Fiske said. He was at a momentary loss for words. He scratched his head and looked her in the eyes.

"Sorry, Fiske," Reed replied. She turned around to Des.

Ryder coughed again, before sneezing. "So I guess Fiske is cool?" He cleared his throat. "If Reed trusts him, I kind of do."

Reed patted Ryder's shoulder. "Are you okay?" The 12 male nodded hesitantly, shifting positions of his bow. Reed faced Fiske again who looked very confused.

Des spoke up. "Are you thinking Fiske could make an ally?"

"I'm still here. You're talking about me like I'm not."

Reed laughed at Fiske's response, and Ryder even cracked a weak smile. "That's exactly what I'm thinking, Des. We were friends in the Training Center, and he's good at survival stuff like me, and he looks sickly. I don't want to leave him." Reed shot a glance at Ryder, thinking about his cough.

"We left Alen," Ryder said casually. Des nudged him in the ribs.

"That was different," Reed persisted.

Health: 80 Thirst 98 Hunger: 58

Fiske's stomach growled. He looked innocently up at his new-found friends.
"Sorry," he apologized. "I haven't had much to eat except a dying duck. That's how I got in my condition, food poisoning."
He reached over to the water and took a gulp before coming back to say, "All I have for a weapon is a knife at the moment, and my fists. I'm pretty good at climbing and jumping through trees as well as finding eatable plants." He looked around the group. "Could I join you?"

Des- District 10

I still felt uncomfortable with us leaving Alen alone but then welcoming Fiske. It was like being two faced. Mother always said to be honest... but then again she was never picked for the games.

"Could I join you?" he sounded so helpless... remember Des, safety in numbers.

"What's in the bag?" I asked with a weak smile, noticing the pack beside him. If he was friends with Reed and Ruder didn't have a problem with it--

"My knife, some rope... I think there's a bottle of water and some bandages--"

"Bandages?"

"Yeah?"

"May I?" I asked, motioning the the pack.

"Sure," he offered and tossed the bag over. We all took a seat in the dirt alongside the river, each grabbing handfuls of water. It felt so good to have the clear liquid restoring my body.

I opened the pack and looked inside. Like he said, there was some rope and a bottle of water. There was also a loaf of bread which Reed took to ration between the four of us and... the bandages!

"Ryder, let me see your leg," I ordered, unwrapping the dressing.

"What are you, some kind of nurse?"

"I've had to bind broken cow femurs and cracked lamb ribs. I need to get that leg cleaned up and wrapped before an infection sets and you really die."

"Oh don't mention lambs ribs when all we've got is bread and poisoned duck," Fiske groaned.

"I've heard that's what those capitol pigs get to eat daily," muttered Reed before finishing off her piece of bread.

Ryder didn't argue with me after that and we wrapped up his gash. Now all that was left was to fix that cough.

Guys, its starrgazer. And boy is it hard to jump into a SB that has written so much already. Pm me if I get any of the details wrong

Luce Avery - 8

Health:93/ Hunger: 90/ Thirst: 84

"Lets go!" I said, grabbing my unopened orange package (which I yearned to take a peek in)

He nodded an we set off, only to come to an abrupt stop. Or at least I did and Edur slowed down, confused.

"What's wrong, Luce?"

This was the exact position I wanted to avoid. To have someone, a mere stranger who had a whole life and family, at the mercy of your own hands was painful.

"Look, Edur..." I trailed off.

He stepped towards , so close I could feel his shallow breaths on the nape of my neck. I tilted my head towards the shivering girl who lied bruised yet defiantely around a few shrubs with a swollen ankle. Except for the hammer I cautiously kept an eye on, she seemed harmless.

"It's Malaya." He said softly.

The girl looked back at us and spoke, "So? Are you just going to stand there?"

Alen is all alone and it is getting dark" why is it that no one wants me and Luce left me for dead." he kneals down and cry's at the bottom of a willow tree and starts to sing a lullaby that his mother song to to him when he was crying.
Hush-a-bye don't you cry,
Go to sleep-y, little baby.
When you wake you shall have
All the pretty little horses.
Blacks and bays, dapple grays,
Coach and six white horses.
Hush-a-bye don't you cry,
Go to sleep-y, little baby.

After Alen song himself to sleep hidden by willow branches for cover he dreamed of a life without having the games.

Edur

Edur nodded at Luce and both took off, running as fast as they could. Edur kept exchanging one way glances at Luce, hoping she would win. He knew that he could trust her, and he knew only one of hem had a chance of survival, but Edur would risk his life for her. She was incredible.

Edur noticed Luce stopping do slowly rolled to a stop as well.
He looked questionly at her before asking, "Luce, what's wrong?"
She looked at him, her face painting a picture of hope and sorrow.
"Look Edur..." she said before looking to the side.
Edur followed her eyeline towards a girl lying in a bush looking up at them in one last hope she could live. I...I know her, thought Edur. And he did. Malaya was the first person Edur had hoped to be allies with...but she totally rejected him.
Edur looked at Luce, "It's Malaya."

"Well, are you just gonna stand there? Or are you gonna kill me?"
Edur exchanged sad looks at each other. They weren't the type of people to do that. And while they knew that what this game was about they couldn't kill her. Other could, but not them.
But there was nothing they could do for her without putting themselves in danger, so they opened their backpacks to see if they could give her anything after they propped her up in a comfortable persission.
Edur rifled through his bag. He has a small knife, meaning he now had two, a small piece of bread which he halved and gave to Malaya and Luce. He also had a small woolen thing that looked like a jacket but was the size of a wallet. Underneath that he had a quarter filled small bottle of water, which he gave pretty much all to Malaya, and the rest to Luce. Now Edur was really hungry, thirsty and he was still bleeding from the bloodbath earlier.

He smiled at Luce, "What you got?" he asked.
Geez, this is like opening presents and that Christmas thing our ancestors celebrate.

Spoiler
Seriously, if Jordan doesn't post soon, can we kill him off?
Health: 82/100, Hunger: 75/100, Thirst: 74/100.

Been having major plot bunny's.
•Edur, luce, Fiske, Reed and Ryder all meet.
•Big fight.
• Edur and Luce manage to get away but get chased, causing them to split up.
• Edur on his own searching for food and water because he has 't eaten since he entered.
• He gets seriously hurt by some tracker jackers, causing him to fall over onto a rock, where he cuts himself badly.
• Reed finds him.
• Edur asks Reed to kill him and Reed does so.
Star and I have been talking about he big dramatic scene where Reed kills Edur.
Sadly, I am going on a family holiday for 6 weeks on Saturday, so from Thursday onwards things will be hectic and I probably won't be posting.
I might have Internet access while there but might not.
Therefore I would like someone to fill in for me.
I just have Edur, but maybe stargazer you could?
You can work with him because you know what's happening and I think luce dies before Edur so it can keep you in the SB.
In the chance I might have Internet access I will post according to what stargazer had said.
If you can stargazer could you follow my plot bunny, only of everyone agrees and you want to fill in for me.
Thanks.

I like Justtoby's ideas, and yes, if Jordan doesn't post soon I think we need to kill him off. Sorry, Jordan, but I've given you a lot of chances. I want everything to be fair, though.

Mainly, though, can everyone please not post until I do tomorrow? I'm sorry for making you do this, but I don't have any more time today and I have a big surprise in store or the tributes, and the mentors... *evil laugh* Thanks all! (Btw I'm typing from my phone, and it has a SMALL keyboard!)

Also, Sunwater I was thinking Malaya and Alen could become allies possibly?

Reed Willimon, District 11 female tribute: DAY 1, EARLY NIGHT
Spoiler
Health: 91/100, Hunger: 90/100, Thirst: 95/100

As Des was wrapping Ryder's leg, Reed was talking to Fiske. "How do you feel?"

He shrugged. "Still pretty queasy. I have a terrible stomach ache."

"There isn't too much you can do for that." She sighed and glanced across the river, thinking hard. "Just try to get a lot of water in you, and try to eat a little something. I know it's hard, but you need your strength. You'll get over this in the next hour." Night animals were already beginning to appear, shaking Reed from her thoughts. More weirdo wolves could be lurking around.

She turned to the other two and said, "I don't think it's safe on the ground. We still don't know what other animals the Gamemakers stocked the arena with." She shuddered. "We can help Ryder into a short tree and strap him in for the night."

"I don't know if that would hurt his leg or not," Des replied worriedly.

Reed felt the same way, but they had a better chance of surviving the first night up higher. This protected them from tributes and monsters. "I know, I'm worried about that too, but-"

"I'll be fine! Just a little help will be needed," Ryder reassured them.

Des agreed reluctantly, still stealing glances at his hurt leg.

"Maybe your mentor will send something for that cut," Fiske offered.

Reed took off her pack and sat down on the soft dirt. She looked up at Des and said, "Sorry, I need to sit for just a bit. But see those two trees straight across from me?" She pointed.

"Yes."

"I know good climbing trees, and those are it." Reed smiled. "They aren't too far away from the river, and low enough for those injured, but high enough for safety. We can tell each other about what supplies we got there and see the tributes who have died."

"Yes, let's get off the ground because I feel like a sitting duck here," Fiske said, clenching his stomach.

Ryder let loose a hacking cough. "Before that, someone needs to fill up all our water bottles for tomorrow. Des?"

The girl nodded. Ryder and Fiske handed her their canteens, so now she was holding three bottles. Reed, still sitting, unzipped her backpack once more. She discovered a pint-sized plastic container, some crackers, dried fruit, matches, a bottle of iodine, and a few more things. She told herself that she would check out her other items in the morning. She stuffed the other supplies back in the pack, but left the water bottle and iodine out. After giving Des her two items for the District girl to fill up, Reed helped Ryder into the tree further to the left and Fiske in the tree to the right of that. Ryder took off his belt from his tribute outfit and Reed strapped him in to the fifth branch up. He was safely hidden in the foliage. Reed climbed back down as Des was walking over with the waters.

"You can be in the left tree with Ryder," Reed said, taking the bottle and iodine. "It doesn't matter."

"Okay, that's fine. One person in each tree should keep watch, and then switch with the other person."

Reed smiled and grabbed Fiske's water. "Great. But remember to not drink the water yet, because the iodine hasn't cleaned it yet. There are traces of it still in the drink."

Des nodded and made way to her tree. Reed stopped her.

"Des?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm scared out of my wits right now." A few more tears dropped from her eyes, but she wiped them away.

Des moved closer to Reed and gave her a hug, pulling her close. "I know, I am, too. We're gonna get through it, okay?"

Reed nodded. "Thank you. You're like a sister to me."

That's when a little silver parachute dropped from the dark sky, landing next to the two with a soft thump.
