Yep, I'll start you out.

You are all in separate stinky cells, staring ahead at the rusty bars that block your freedom. There are four guards, they let down the security for the holidays since most guards wanted to be home for Valentines Day. It is a small jail, there are only ten cells, and only yours are occupied. You are in the one hallway with the cells, to your right is a bathroom at the end of the hallway. And to your left is the door with the desk. But there are bars at the start of the hallway in case you get out. There are cameras in every cell, as well as several outside. There are two guards in the hallway with you, one at the desk, and one in the lobby, pacing by the door.
What will you do?

I sigh, staring straight ahead at the cell in front of me. The inmate is hidden from my view; not that I want to be caught looking into it, it's just that seeing someone in the same situation as me every once and a while would be nice.
"Anybody out there?" I call, tired of folding the same piece of paper into different shapes over and over again.

"Mornin' ya'll!"
Called a wheezy and heavily accented voice.
"Breakfast!" He sneered into the face of a prisoner who was folding a piece of paper. He shoved a piece of garlic bread with cooked mushrooms and onions, sitting next to a cup of tap water, under the bars.

Thump, thunk, thump. I hit my "stress ball" against the wall of my cell again and again making a steady thunk sound. I'm so bored I could die. I've been locked up for 2 years 30 days and 12 hours so far and I've got the rest of my life to go. I hear a prisoner call out but before I can answer an old guard comes up to give us our food. Old geezer. Thinks he so much better than us because he didn't get caught. Well I was ( caught I mean)and I'm proud of it.

I scowl at the food, but take it anyway, wondering how it could be possible for someone to be so happy in a place like this. Catching sight of the prisoner in front of me, I'm almost shocked to find that it's a girl. I sit back on the cot in the corner and shake my head, not sure why it would be so surprising to me. This is death row after all... I don't think separation by gender matters much.
"Hello there." I say. "Nice to see a face beside my own."

"It's nice to have someone to talk to." I reply "I'm tired of my own company. I'm too boring for my own good.Whatcha' in here for if you don't mind me asking.I'm in for murder;that's why they don't have me with the other ladies I'm too dangerous. That's why I get my own cell here. But it doesn't look too crowded over here either so they can spare room for one highly criminal girl."

I stop to catch my breath and I see the prisoner staring at me from across the hall looking amazed"Shut up" I tell myself silently.I never was able to stop talking anywhere and being silent for so long made me babble like a complete idiot to a stranger. Why did i have to go around telling him I killed someone for?

I smile at the girl, amazed by the amount of words spoken.
"I'm in here for a lot of things." I say. "Murder being one of them."
I pause, taking a bite of food.
"My name's Shay. How about yours?"

"I'm Joe, call me Josephine and you will die. I'm 21 years old and I know something you don't." I lean back and close my eyes suddenly tired from the effort of talking.

I stretch and yawn looking at the boy from my cell. He looked nice but then again..maybe not

"Maybe, But why should I trust you? You're a crook just like me. Anyways you might just mess it up. It is after all a way to get out of here.."

I stop everything with the girl's words. A way out...
"I can see why you do not trust me." I say carefully. "Is there something I can do to prove you can?"

I shrug, I see the interest in to boy's eyes ,anticipation for a way to get out. I check over the plan in my head and nod.
"It's very difficult and very risky. Did you know we're in the highest security prison in America? We would have to leave today since the guards are half off for Valentine's day. Still there are the alarms, locks, barbed wire and traps that they have outside, not to mention we're on an island. I've been planning this escape since I got here and I don't have much time left. I'm scheduled to die next Monday. I need you to get something for me first before I tell you more. I know you're handy with your hands; you're always folding that piece of paper. The guards say not to let you around anything valuable. There is a key I need to start the process of getting out, if I can have that then I can trust you. The jailer that gave us the food has it and it's ruby colored."

I shift around uncomfortably on my bench for a minute and look at him straight in his eyes. He looks young but capable, I hope I can trust him.

I smile and nod. She wanted me to steal something? That was simple enough.
"You'll have the key by tomorrow." I promise.
