I was a little confused. "What do you mean, why am I here? She," I pointed at the other girl, "Told me to come. I assumed it was because I had connections."
"I'd be happy to help," I cut in. "Maybe we could ask the teacher if we could help the police in a group. We might be able to get more information with police help. And I wouldn't mind an easy A right now. The stress has been killing me."
"I still think he's hiding something." The girl said. She struck me suddenly as being childish, and I questioned whether that could be dangerous.
"I still want to think this over a little." My eyes flickered to the guy beside me, "I don't want anyone else Ik now dying right now."
Love is beautiful, but what would love be without life?
Many those pictures may help them in finding how they died!
I started crying. Get yourself together, you idiot! I wiped my tears off and took out my camera. I looked at those 4 pictures again. I didn't find anything.
I heard 3 people standing in a group and arguing over something. It sounded sort of serious. I knew almost all them there. Sammy, Marcus and ... Who was that?. What were they doing there arguing? And usually they never argue much.
I walked to them, guessing I could help.
"Hey, um... Can I help? I've noticed you guys have been standing here for awhile. " cut through them.
The girl I didn't know, looked at me from head to toe. Then she looked at Sammy and Marcus again.
"Do you anything about the murders?" she asked me.
I had my camera with me but I didn't want to show the pictures right away. What if she was an impostor? I hid the camera behind me.
"I only knew them." I said, lying through my teeth.
Sammy looked at me like I was nuts. I shouldn't have gotten into this.
"Elise, are you sure? I've seen you hanging out with them." Sammy said, spitting out the truth.
I looked at her with stern eyes. Surely, she got my message. Marcus looked very weak and he was surely hiding something.
"Hanging out?" the strange girl asked me.
"Like talking to them." I replied fast.
"Ah. Did they come by to say anything about their troubles?"
"No. Not really."
"I'm trying to figure out about this murder. Want to join the team?" she asked me.
I looked Sammy and Marcus. Sammy nodded to me.
"Sure." I said. I was in a detective team! Wow. That was new.
"Mara Jane Smith." she said and shook my hands.
Mara. That's her. Well, she should have said that before. Anyway.
"And, Elise. Do you by chance, know this man?" Mara asked me.
"Who doesn't?" I smiled to her. "Marcus King."
"If any proof comes up, tell me. This is serious." Mara said.
Well, I should say, she was a little bossy. I mean, who would take lead like that? We were all there, we all should get a chance. Man, this women!

I felt more and more awkward by the second, realizing a girl that seemed younger than me was taking over something that could get me killed.
I wasn't really keen on the idea of dying.
I looked at Marcus, speaking casually, "We should probably get to our next class, you know how Mrs. DePhanpalis is." I hoped no one else knew we didn't have the class together. I hoped he picked up on the silent signals I was screaming. I needed someone elses opinion on this.
He seemed to understand, and we began to walk down the cracking sidewalk.
"I'm sorry to drag you into this," I said once we were out of earshot, "I had no idea what she meant by the note. What do you think of all this?"
Love is beautiful, but what would love be without life?
I walked with the girl, Sammy. "I don't know. I'm a little... weirded out. I think she thinks I was," I gulped, "Involved with it or something, just because I'm a boy. How did I even get into this?" I stopped and looked at the girl, rubbing my arms like I was cold, though my sweater kept me warm.
As the others walked to class I looked around. I had the distinct feeling someone had seen the whole ordeal. I wanted this to be privite and had hoped more people would show. I had been only slightly unsucessfull but I was still proud to finally have a team.

After I had talked to Sammy, Marcus and Mara, I left to get to the new class. I picked up my bag and camera. What if Mara starts suspecting me after I show her the pictures? Not only Mara. It can be Sammy and Marcus. Man, this can be a great hurdle. >.<
I saw Mara looking around. As I was to leave the class, she stopped me.
"You have class here, right?" she asked me, frowning a little. I took out my schedule and looked at me. She was right! But how did she know? Has she been stalking me?
"Uh, yeah. I do." I replied.
"Then, why are you leaving?"
"I just lost my mind, I guess." I went back to my seat.
What is wrong with me? Where is my mind?" The teacher came up to the class. He was new. Never seen him. He was fair and straight, brown hair. And such awesome glasses too.

I looked up at the teacher. He was sweet looking and had the air of an intruder. I didn't trust him. Why should I? I was a privite investigater and I wasn't ment to trust anyone at all. I work alone so nobody gets hurt. I have never planned on having a team but I think that it's time I did.

"I don't know. I'm a little... weirded out. I think she thinks I was, involved with it or something, just because I'm a boy. How did I even get into this?" He looked cold, I stepped a little closer to him so our arms were touching.
"I'm really sorry. I am." I thought for a moment, "Though if we're careful and make sure we're careful not to let her think she's boss, she might be helpful. I don't even want revenge, really. I just want my friend back." I sniffled a little, and rubbed at my eye.
If the boy next to me didn't look so kind, I'd be terrified.

After 2 minutes, he started frowning at me and then started his class. Whenever he turned to write in the board and again turned back to us, his eyes were first fixed on me, then goes back to looking at the class. He was creepy.
"We'll have to go to another class. Perhaps the Lab because I have to show you an experiment. Let's go!" he said and the class started picking up the books and pencils.
I picked my bag and had a book in my hand. I was the last one out. Not before long, he stopped me.
"You... I know you. May I know your name?" he asked me. Man, he had stunning eyes.
"Excuse me. I have to go." I said trying to duck under his hands. But he was too fast. He just won't let me go.
"Just your name." He said now, changing his expression.
"Elise Damien." I said, a little frightened.
He took his hands of the wall and let me go. What was with him? Crappy teacher!
