Well, what basically gappens is that, when you're asleep, Maras use your nightmares as a gateway from the Faustian realm into the Real Realm.
The job of the Nightmare Division is essentially to stop these guys from wreaking havoc in the real world. So, whenever a new portal opens up, the guys at the Academy and at the Division enter the Dream world - an intermediate between the Faustian realm and the real world - and battle with the Maras.
The nightmares themselves - the stronger ones - may try to create a portal into the real world. Now, the battle between the trainees of the Academy and the Maras takes place in the deamers heads. Essentially, the dreamer can be any random person.
The Capturae and Tamers are responsible for coaxing the creature back to the Faustian realm. The Moderators make sure they don't break the dreamer's mind. The Medics, of course, provide aid. These guys don't actually journey into the dream world, they sit on the outside and communicate with the Moderators during the battle, ensuring the safety of the deamers mental state. The last are the Scripters. These guys play an important role. They basically write out the dream. They provide Tamers and Capturae a place in which to fight, one reason I asked you guys to list the habitat of the Mara you created.

Tenshou - You see them during the day, since you guys share classrooms. However, the day boarders and the Nightmare division students have different dorms. So you don't see them all the time.

Cookie - Yeah, cause I won't be home for the next few days. Not as much as usual, atleast. Yes a profile is fine - whenever you have time. Don't force yourself to make one if you can't handle it. I'm thinking we'll actually need a spy.... I can't find Liche anywhere on the site at all.

Thanks Tenshou! Okay, I'm thinking your existing character can double as a spy. As in, she's actually a spy for the shadow team, but has a position in the nightmare division trainee team too. Is that okay?

Hey, just wondering, could my mara be a nightboarder as well? I was just thinking that Soulsearchers don't have the ability to sleep. They just hunt.

Oh! I almost forgot.
Most of our characters are girls (including mine XD).
So if i need to make another character, it should be a guy! Right?
