Souru (Started)

Fiore; It’s a stable neutral country with a population of 17 million. It is a world filled with magic, where magic is traded like common goods and has become a part of daily life. There are people who use magic to make a living called “mages” or “wizards”. Mages belong to various guilds and perform their jobs on request - countless guilds have been formed in this country. And there’s a certain mage guild located in a city. In past times... no, even now, it’s still creating legends... its name is...

Souru ソウル

As fans of Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail would know, Fiore is a country filled with magic. This story revolves around the guild Souru ソウル and the wizards in it. Your job is to create a character, either just arriving at the guild or a long-time member, to answer job requests and ultimately fulfill the goal you set for yourself.

I would like for everyone to set a goal for their character. Something very difficult to get, but not completely impossible. Some ideas would to be the best at something, to learn a new technique, or to beat another mage in battle. Be creative! I want to see what kind of things your wizard is fighting for.

Jobs:

One responsibility of a Wizard's Guild is to accept and carry out job requests. The reward to these requests are determined by the difficulty. Wizards, just like all people, need income to survive, and this is where they earn it. In this Storybook, jobs will be posted in the DT, either by me or another participant (it would be nice if they ran it by me prior, though) and all characters will have the opportunity to team up (or not) and accept the job.

Rules:

- Mild cursing is okay, but no F-bombs. And no **** either. That's just as bad.
- Romance is okay, but nothing graphic
- There will be fighting, but if you've ever read the manga or anime, there is some blood but no one's guts are hanging out or anything. And the fact that they're mages plus the fact that they're in a genre with loose laws of physics means they can survive much more than what is realistic.
- You can make up to two characters
- This is set in a slightly medieval time
- Don't kill anyone off unless you get their permission
- No God-modding, obviously
- We're in the same world as Fairy Tail, by the way, so it's not unusual to hear news about them.

- The Guild Master is a women in her late thirties. She is tall, dark, and beautiful. Like all Guild Masters, she is extremely powerful. Her name is Yu Kurosaki.

- Mages are welcome to have pets/ creature comrades.

- For this Storybook, I’m going to say let’s let our inner Japanese wanna-be out (exceptions: you don’t have one/you are actually Japanese) and use appropriate exclamations, terms, etc. in our character’s dialogue. For example, the term madoushi (魔法使い) means wizard, or mage in Japanase. Mahō (魔法) can be used in place of magic, if you so desire. Terms such as onee-san, obaa-san, or general honorifics are also welcome too. While I’d like to keep the swearing down, ksou and shiksou are acceptable. [Note: Using * to explain the term or word if it is more obscure is encouraged, and if someone is not accurate with their language, please either point it out kindly or turn a blind eye. If ya can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.]

Gender: Female

Appearance: (Please include where their guild mark* is.) Mia has short black hair which only comes down to be in line with her chin. She has bright green eyes, which most people stare at because they seem unnaturally bright. Her guild mark is on her ankle so she usually wears small shoes without socks so that it isn't covered up.

Personality: Mia is extreamy friendly and is very loyal. She is always the first person people go to for advice, if they can't go to the guil master that is, because she is approachable.


Magic Abilities: (What type, and Caster Magic or Holder Magic?) Takeover magic, a Caster magic

Strengths: Makes friends easily and can control her powers quite well

Weaknesses/ Flaws: She doesn't like to fight with people but does fight others in the guild to improve her fighting skills

Goal: To become a capable fighter

Background, etc.) Mia has been in the guild for the past two years but in that time she has been able to befriend most of the people there. She is always the first to welcome new comers and is generally the last one to fight them. She lived with her parents until she came to the guild and now they live a few towns away. Mia has a close connection with animals because of her animal soul take over ability.

Age:13

Gender: Female.

Appearance:(Please include where their guild mark* is.) Sky has purple-pink hair that she always wears in braids. She has dark blue eyes and she is quite small even for her age. Her guild mark is on the back of her shoulder.



Personality: Sky has a very bubbly personality and is always smiling. She is always cheerful and happy and because of that people think she acts young for her age but when it really counts she knows what really matters. The most important thing to her is her friends.

Strengths: Never fails to make people smile.

Weaknesses: Can be a bit oblivious.

Name: Raiden

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Appearance: Raiden has pale skin, scruffy dark curls, and light grey eyes that shine silver when he is performing magic. He’s just less than 6ft tall, and has a slim, lean body. He always keeps himself well groomed in tailor-made outfits in the latest fashions. His guild mark is black and silver and runs across the left-side of his neck.

Personality: Young and comical, Raiden is a laidback and carefree life-enjoyer whose charming personality and good looks has allows him to get along with everyone and has nearly always helped to get him his way. But past the charm and good-looks, Raiden has a dark past that he keeps hidden.

Magic Abilities: Caster Magic – Raiden has the unique power of telekinesis. He has the ability to directly influence people's minds as well as physical objects. He can also use this power to teleport and create force fields. His power is one that no other Mahō (Mage) has.

Strengths: Although he can be a little careless and immature at times, he is a true and loyal friend who would go out of his way to help a person in need. He is also an incredibly determined individual. Once he puts his mind to something he won't rest until he has completed it.

Weakness/ Flaws: At times, his determination can cloud his judgement. He can often become hot-headed an irrational which nearly always spells a disaster.

Goal: To get revenge on a particular Madoushi (wizard) that did him wrong in the past.

History: Raiden doesn’t talk much about his history. What people do know about him is that he left home when he was just a boy to offer his services to the guild Souru ソウル. He is now a long-time member and is known by all.

Other: Up for love. He has two creature comrades. The first is his black stallion horse, and the second is his Falcon.

Name: Hiroshi Shunya
Age: 19 (recently turned so)
Gender: Male
Appearance: He has red hair that's as long as two inches past his waist, very pale skin- parchment pale actually- that contrast the guild symbol on the back of his left shoulder, and eyes as green as moss. He stands a good six-feet-three-inches and has a lithe body build. He's a bit skinny due to the poverty of his village.
Magic Abilities: Card Magic (Holder Magic, item: tarot cards- his personal favorite deck)
Personality: He's loyal to the Guild and has a love for dragons. Some of the guild members believe he respects dragons like he's one of their own kind, but nobody can prove if he is a dragon or not. He has a temper that often gets in the way at the oddest times. Believe it or not, he enjoys playing with his cards or his creature companion Ryu.
Strengths: He's very sharp when he uses his cards and knows which card has what effect. He also treats his fellow guild members like family, but he treats the Guildmaster like royalty and with utmost respect. He has a strange sense of humor which involves harmless tricks from his cards and his mischievious creature companion. Whether the others know it or not, he's an excellent riddle-solver and a Haiku poet at his spare time.
Weaknesses/ Flaws: His temper is one of the three known weaknesses he has. When someone makes him angry, it's almost like you've just interupted a dragon's bedtime. Another weakness he has is his inability to play the lute when he recites his poetry. Music was never something he's good at, since his heart's set on being the first mage in his village. Finally, he has a fear of losing his creature companion, which he's been raising since it was an egg. You can say he's deeply attached to the creature.
Goal: Become the first mage in his village ever to settle an old score with the family responsible for his family's poverty.
History: Hiroshi's the only child of a lute player and a weaver. His father's from a long line of master lutists, but Hiroshi couldn't play the right note when you put a lute in his hands. Despite the money his parents earn, the entire village was suffering poverty while a neighboring village prospered. Hiroshi promised his parents he would not return to the village until he was strong enough to settle the old score that caused his home poverty. It was two months after he joined the guild when he was sent back to rescue five stolen eggs- Ryu's egg was one of them. Four of the five eggs were returned to their respective nests, but the nest where Ryu's egg was taken from was destroyed, so Hiroshi took the opprotunity to raise the egg himself. It was a year after that when Ryu hatched and Hiroshi made it his responsibility to raise Ryu properly. Hiroshi's been in the guild for a year, two months, and three weeks now.
Other: He has a silver dragon as a creature companion. He's not sure if it's a boy or a girl, but it keeps coming to him every time he says Ryu, so that became the little one's name. Ryu's still a hatchling- a couple weeks old, actually- but hardly goes anywhere without its "mother." Ryu's been around the guild since it was an egg- found from a job in its "mother's" village where someone was selling stolen dragon eggs for profit and Ryu's egg was two years already developed. Hiroshi's also up for love.

Gender: Male
Appearance: Looks like Roy mustang and Guild mark is on Right Forearm in black ink



Personality: Cool and sarcastic, not looking for attention
Magic Abilities:
Caster- Can control water in all of its forms (because he can control water he can control the water in the air to create friction and thus make lightning )
Alchemy- requires a circle (untill you see the gate of truth)
Strengths: Phisicaly he has an athletes build but is not super strong
Weaknesses/ Flaws: is seen as a jerk sometimes when he sees things other people dont
Goal: Wants to play Shogi

Name: Knight Kellomar

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearance: She is the girl known for looking like a boy. She's perfectly straight, she just takes tom-boy to the extreme. She's a little short, but with a strong build. Her short, scruffy dark brown hair often falls in her eyes and she's usually too lazy to push it aside. She wears baggy clothes - pretty much whatever's comfortable. Most of her clothes are hand-me-downs from her older brothers, so her closet is filled with guys' t-shirts a couple sizes too big for her, and pants she just manages to keep up with a large belt. The colors range from grey to dark blue to brown.

She's very rarely seen to be wearing shoes, and always wears a large hooded sweatshirt she practically drowns in (for some reason it's special to her). She can also take off the sweatshirt and use it as a blanket. She usually has patches or just plain holes in the back of her shirts from using her power (wings). The only item of clothing she owns that doesn't have this is the sweatshirt, which she always takes off before fighting. New members usually go at least six months thinking she's a boy, and even the younger kids call her onii-san even though they know she's a girl. Other guild members have made a sport of seeing how long they can go without the new member finding out.

Her guild mark is dark brown, placed on her upper left arm. She wears glasses, and has horrible eye-sight, but in battle she fights with her eyes closed anyways. Other than battle, she's kind of pitiful when her glasses are taken.

Personality: When she's awake, she's usually a bit groggy. She's very intense in battle, but in anything but that she doesn't mind relying on others.

Magic Abilities: Caster - Tenshi Maho (Angel Magic)
This is a type of Aero Magic, where the user grows wings from their back. In her case, she has two sets of wings, the lower one being black and the upper white. She fights with orbs of dark and light energy that can burn and sear an opponent. Her wings give her speed, and if she wraps someone in the white pair, they can be healed (to a certain extent). She fights with her eyes closed usually, so she can better sense the mix of dark and light in people and track their movements.

Strengths: She's extremely strong, in fact she's an S-Class Madoushi, and if you can wake her up for battle, she'll defeat all but the strongest with relative ease.

Weaknesses/ Flaws: She's tends to fall asleep randomly (her favorite place is under the tables in the guild's main room), and it's incredibly hard to wake her up. She somehow always manages to incapacitate people before she even wakes up completely to recognize them. If she's needed on a job, most likely people will trade off carrying her, as no one can seem to get her awake.

Goal: Her goal was to become a S-Class Mage, but now that she's accomplished that, she doesn't quite know what to do with herself.

History: Her father and older brothers are all part of the guild, however they are travelling on their own quests. She's grown up in the guild, and has made quite a name for herself.

Other: I know she seems like God-modding a bit, but I had Erza's strength in mind when I made her profile. She's really, really strong, but usually she doesn't fight in tornaments or anything, and the last resort on job requests is to wake her up. So she won't go around easily beating up people, kay?
