Chapter EIGHT: The STALKER
LOCATION: Nathanial’s House

“We are listening, and we're not blind, this is your life, this is your time” the music smoothed over me, my ears perking in anticipation for the next note. I loved Snow patrol, it was the only real band I enjoyed listening too, that and Coldplay. My eyes opened as I heard the music bursting through the room. The door was left slightly open. I only parley remember where I was, Nate had taken me to his house, I think. All I could see in the back of my head was a dead and cold Tameron. I put my hand up to my eyes and felt a warm wetness as I turned to my pillow, which was soaked. I was asleep and crying, no wonder my head hurt. I walked over to the window on the right hand side to try and get some light into the room. When I opened it, I realised how early it was, the sun was still rising. It only produced a slight bit of light as I turned around the room.
It was an old room, dark, brown dusted wall paper hung around the room, and a huge wooden four posted bed sat in the middle of the room and that was it. A bed, no other furniture, the music suddenly changed.
“I have no fear cuz you are all that I have, It’s so clear now that you are all that I have” I grinned, I loved this song. I took shaky steps towards the door and opened it slightly, picked up my school bag from the side of the door and slowly scooted out the room. It reminded me of school, this mansion. Same purple drapes covering the large windows, same candles lit against the walls, the only thing that was different is that instead of everything being marble, everything was wooden. I was bare foot as I walked through the house, doors and doors lined the walls. I counted at least seven rooms as I walked down the staircase trying to follow the music. I am sure Nate or Nate’s parents would be there. I took the first step of the staircase and jumped as the music suddenly stopped.
“Will you turn that crap down” The beautiful voice spoke, I recognised that voice. Where from? I raked my memory but I couldn’t recall. It definitely wasn’t Nate; it was missing the harsh edge.
“What the hell man, you like Snow Patrol not me, I put it on to calm you down” Now that was Nate.
“Stop talking like that” The beautiful voice snapped.
“Oh, come on bro; get with the twenty-first century”
“I’m not getting with anything”
“Will you just calm down”
“Calm down? Calm Down! I can’t believe you! I can’t believe you brought her here! I can’t believe we are here! I can’t believe you did this!”
“Well believe it brother; you didn’t have to come after me”
“What was I supposed to do? I can’t believe it! The Council is furious, they are searching for us! We’re number one on the most wanted list!”
“Oh well, I suppose mummy and daddy will be happy we are finally number one at something”
“This is not funny Nate! Mother and Father are worse than the Council, when we get caught they are going to kill us and that’s if the Council doesn’t kill us first”
“Well, I don’t mind dying at the ripe old age of seven hundred and fifty seven, and that’s if we get caught”
“Oh yeah right, If we get caught... HAVE YOU SEEN WHERE WE ARE! WE ARE IN FATHERS OLD MANSION! IN SCOTLAND! THIS IS THE FIRST PLACE THEY ARE GOING TO COME LOOKING”
“Then why aren’t they here” There was a pause.
“Shut up”
“That is precisely why they won’t come looking here, it’s too obvious. Anyway I thought you’d be happy”
“Why in the lord’s good name would I be happy?”
“You got to see Lily” There was a longer pause. I stood routed to the spot. What the hell was going on?
“It doesn’t matter” The beautiful voice muttered, I had to strain to hear him. “As soon as we are caught, we will die. All deals will be off and Vampires will never be allowed in Europe again and it will be impossible to win the war of the woman. God Nathanial, The one thing I was looking forward to and you screwed it up. Just like you do with everything”
“Maggie, come on”
“Don’t call me MAGGIE! My name is Magnus” Magnus snarled. I slowly took a step back onto the landing.
“Did you hear that?” Nate asked “Lily?” He shouted. I sprinted.
“Oh for Christ sake” Magnus snarled. I bolted through the corridor. I could already hear them coming up the staircase. I started to grip random bronze door handles but all of them were locked, I went to the furthest one in the hall before the second staircase and brought out a paper clip from my trouser pocket and kissed it. I undid the paper clip and started to pick the lock. My heart was thumping in my chest, threatening to break my rips, with a slow success I quickly unlocked the door and bolted into the cold, dark room. I turned, locked the lock and pressed my ear against the cold wood of the door.
“Where is she gone? She’s not in her room” Nate snarled.
“She’s scared, rightly so, you idiot Nate. You shouldn’t have run after her like that”
“That wasn’t a run! It was a slow walk”
“For us maybe” Magnus growled.
“Can we stop fighting for just a few minutes? We have a little girl to find” I heard their footsteps climb up the steps before the other corridor. When I knew they couldn’t hear me, I let out a sigh and tumbled towards the side of the room in the dark and I turned on the light next to the door. I slowly let my eyes adjust to the light change. It was bright. I turned around the room and put my hands over my mouth to stop myself from screaming.
Pictures covered the walls, they were all of the boys; Jared, Brendan, Pierce, Leon, Davion, Sasha, Nario and Tameron. Nario’s and Tameron’s picture had a thick red cross going through the middle. As I turned around, the wall behind me was half filled with Tyrone, half filled with me. Oh god, Tyrone. I took a step towards his pictures. Oh god, they were going to kill Tyrone next... Oh my god, I was in a house with murderers; I was locked in a house with murderers. Crud, tears welled in my eyes in frustration. I started to slowly hyperventilate, Calm down Lils, Calm down, leave the room and get out. I took a breath out and slowly turned towards the door. That’s when I saw it. On a table at the far corner of the room were two hearts in Jars. One marked Nario, one marked Tameron. I couldn’t stop myself from screaming now. I heard footsteps running down the stairs.
“LILY!” Magnus shouted. The handle on the door was being pushed and pulled but he couldn’t open it. “Lily, open the door for me” Magnus’s voice was gentle and kind through the door. Oh crud, crud, crud, it was him, the voice from the car! He had held me!
“NO!” I screamed. I didn’t want to be in this room with my friend’s hearts staring at me but I couldn’t exactly leave.
“Oh no” Nate whispered.
“Don’t say oh no, why are you saying oh no?” Magnus shrieked at Nate.
“Err, you know those murders”
“What have you done?”
“I sort of...killed the werewolves and left the, err, hearts in that room”
“Oh for the heaven’s sake!”
Oh my gosh no. The wolf from the council estate, that was one of them... Tyrone, the black eyes! It all made sense... they were werewolves. I stood in the room blankly, the black blood... when is blood black and that thick? Oh, gosh! How could I have not seen it before? They weren’t runaways, they were a freaking pack.
“Well as soon as you were going to marry Lily, Father already said he was going to kill them all” Nate sad defensively.
“Nate for heaven’s sake shut the hell up” Marry? Marry a murderer, not likely. Unlock the door and run for it, they won’t be expecting that. Be brave, think of it being the time you shut yourself in the shower. I took a breath in and out, my tears subsided. Be brave. I walked towards the door and touched the door handle flinching. Be Brave Lils, you can do this, I reassured myself as I unlocked the door and l flew opened the door.
He was gorgeous. More phenomenal then Nate, his dirty blonde hair was plastered around his head in sweat, his angelic face chiselled to perfection, his red lips thin with worry, his watery blue eyes shone at me in shock as I thrust the door open. I ran him into the wall causing him to fall on top of Nate who cursed. I swung my backpack on my shoulder clutching the picture of Tyrone in my hand and ran down the stairs and out of the front door. I had no idea where I was, tears wouldn’t stop now. I wept as I ran barefoot over the gravel.

Alright, besides the fact that the whole werewolves vs vampires is completely overdone and unoriginal, I thought this was fairly good. I defiantly, am ready for the next chapter. :) (BTW I have read chapter ten and chaper nine is missing.)
I did have a few nitpicks to point out.

My eyes opened as I heard the music bursting through the room. The door was left slighly open.

I thought the use of the word 'open' was a bit repetitious here. Maybe try writing something like 'The door was slightly cracked.'

I only *parley remembered where I was.

*partly, is what I think you meant.

I was *bare foot as I walked through the house

*barefoot.

I *am sure Nate or his parents

You used present tense here. I believe you meant 'was'.

HAVE YOU SEE WHERE WE ARE*! WE ARE IN *FATHERS OLD MANSION!

The exclamation point should be a question mark and it should be 'father's'.

Like I said this is interesting and you have a way of pulling me into the story. One line that you had in here that I thought was nice was this.

They weren't runaways, they were a freaking pack.

Your 'pack' here is unique. I like that they are just scraping by. Puts a nice twist on the classic werewolves.
Good job and keep writing. ~DG

Some people are hourglass shaped, some people are apple shaped, some people are pear shaped, some people are even bean pole shaped, but if we’re not careful we all become banana shaped. This is your gentle posture reminder.
