Hello, I'm new...

Yeah so I,m new here. I live in Plymouth, Mass. (America's home town... so I know about as much as there is to know about the Pilgrims.) I go to a private Christian school. I would say I'm a total "girly girl", but i know how to stand up for myself and kick but when I have to. I am blond, but I don't act it( I may be sometimes gulible, but I am NOT a blond air head.) I love pastel colors. My favorites are pastel pink and pastel green. I don't really write much, but I love doing it. I was looking for a site where I could get honest opinions from people about my writings. My family reads them, but they don't always give me a real honest opinion. Yes, I am a Christian who strives to serve God with all I do, and I am not afraid to profess what I belive and live it out. I am a daughter of the King of kings, but I'm not perfect, just forgiven.

Hi Rachel! Good to have you here. Is there really a big rock, or is that just a myth? I didn't really know. As far as blondes go, truth rarely matches up with reality! I am pretty ditsy and gullible (ask my folks!) and I am very much a brunette. So, I am pretty sure there is hardly any evidence. Correlation does not imply causation, after all!

I know what you mean about honest criticism, my friends are always saying 'that's nice' even when I know it isn't very well written, but you'll find that some of our reviewers are very constructive!

Also, we have this system called a 'Buddy System' where the new member can choose an older member to show them around the site and answer any questions they have. The older member also reviews some of their work and can introduce them to other members, old and new! So it's a great way to meet people or get to know about the site ^^

Yes It's called Plymouth Rock. The rock that is shown downtown under a monument -ike structure, is not really that big. It was originally a huge bolder on the shore in the harbor. It is called Plymouth Rock because it was the first rock that the pilgrims stepped on where they planed to settle. If you know the religious signifigance it makes more sence (The pilgrims founded the colony on the firm rock foundation of Jesus Christ -- Therefore we see this rock sybol with importance.) Whe the rock was being transported for the centenial celibration of the pilgrims landing in 1720, the rock fell of the wagon (you know those rocky bumpy dirt roads) and broke in thre places. the two lager portions were cemented back together, and the third pice was placed in the Pilgrim Hall Musium(and this rock is even smaller than it used to be since it was on display for people to be able to touch it, and you know how people are, they cipped away pices of it to keep as a souvinere.)
And if you are talking about the really big rock (the really huge one about ten or fifeteen feet hig to about the length of an average sized flight of stairs), this one is not really known to most people. It is the Pulpit rock(engraved on the side are the words "on the Saboth we rested" from [url]Of Plimouth Plantation[/url]) on Clark's Island (named after one of the sailors)( the island can be seen from plymouth harbor.) where the pilgrim's had thier first church service in the Plimouth(the original way to spell it). Not alot of people know about the rock since it is on a private island where you need to have permision from some one who owns a house on the island to land. It is a small but beautiful island. I only know about it since my teacher Dr. Paul Jehle is a member of the Plimouth Rock Society and knows a owner of the island who let my class visit it.
