Hey Rebecca and Jen! Rebecca, I have to say, I love your name Jen, don't worry about grammar, we'll help you with it! We may bark a bit loudly, but we don't bite, honest!
If either of you need any help, feel free to PM me!
Hello everyone! My name is Emma, and I'm new to this site and was wondering what exactly goes on here. I love to write and read, and was looking for some motivation and ended up here. Could anybody please explain what exactly this site does? Thank you! ^_^
Man, google really sucks when you're searching for writing communities. I've been searching for a site like this for a while. I'm so happy i stumbled across this place, cos it seems pretty cool.
Anyways, i'm off to explore, and sleep perhaps....since i kinda have to be up for college in three hours...
Hello! I'm Sara. I'm unsure if this is the place to do it... looks like it is. I'll introduce myslef - I'm Sara... as I said. I'm 13, and in 8th grade. I have been writing since I was in 4th grade. Without doubt, I love to write - it's my passion.
I delight in writing stories in third person - first person does not appeal to me. But that's really unimportant, seeing as everybody writes in first person anyway. It is easier... or harder... of the same. I don't know... opinions, anyone?
I'm relatively new here. I've been here for... a month? Two? But I didn't want to do anything until I posted something. And I did. So Yay. But it's fairly long... and I don't think anybody wants to read it I'm hoping to make some friends while I'm here. Is anybody interested?
I'm Phill and I've just signed up after stumbling upon this wonderful site by complete accident.
I'm 22 and enjoy reading and writing quite a lot. I am rather interested in reading other people's work and will be happy to comment on them. I shall also post some of my own material, however; my rate of production isn't very high because I am rather busy.
Oh, also:
I am interested in most genres, but particularly Science Fiction and the Fantastic.
Emma - Hi there, welcome to the site! YWS is a community for writers where you are able to post your work and gain advice on how to improve your writing. In return you're required to critique other people's work and there's also forums such as writing activities which are great for inspiration, storybooks which are generally loads of fun and randomness where topics vary from cheese to anything and everything not about cheese. If you want to learn more of any particular area, then feel free to send me a pm and I'll answer any questions you have!
Kadie - Hello, welcome to YWS. Feel free to ask me any questions and I hope you enjoy the site! Also feel free to ramble about yourself a little, either here or in a welcome thread of your very own.
Sara - Hello, welcome, we've already talked but there's no harm in welcoming you officially I think that second person is the hardest perspective to write in but I'm not sure which of the other two is the easiest and I try to use a variety. A good way to get more critiques on your work is to review other people's and you'll often find them willing to return the favour or you can go to one of the 'critique exchange' threads which guarantees you a review if you give one to someone else. Or there again you could just ask me. Talk to you soon!
Phill - Welcome to YWS, let me know if I can help you with anything, it's good to see another science fiction and fantasy writer here. If you're ever in need of a critique, feel free to pm me and don't worry about production levels, everyone works at their own speed here
Hey there Shadow (mind if I call you that?) and welcome to the site. I'm kitty, if you have any questions, are interested in the buddy system or would like a critique, feel free to pm me,
Hello, everyone! I feel safe enough that I'll give you my first name. It's Isaac. My profile has more information, but I found out about the site from one of my cousins. (Sorry, if I knew his profile, I'd say, but I don't. Pretty lame.) If you have questions, go ahead and ask!

[b]What's up, everyone? My name is Laurin, but you can call me LG (not to be confused with the cell phone/kitchen appliance brand, lol). I'm a college student studying to be an playwright and a movie director. I'm hoping to meet lots of kewl, like-minded individuals here at YWS. I don't actually know very many people who aspire to be authors or screenwriters or what have you. Hopefully, by joining this community, that will change! I'm looking forward to meeting any and everyone, so please IM me or email me or check out my MySpace (myspace.com/itsalaurengthang--it's new, so excuse the lack of real content)!
Hey, I'm Cait and brand new. I first got into writing...oh well i guess it was about a year ago. Nothing major really just a pastime really although my dream would be to write a novel. So I hope that once I write something you will all come a check it out!
