well im sure this is already been answered but i was wondering how i join a usergroup?
or even...what exactly is a usergroup?

I love usergroups!

They're used as clubs on site, if you will (read: this is a shameless plug for the Book Club).

To join, go to "manage usergroups" (found under the "forum" button at the top of the page). From there, find a group you like, hit "view information" and then "join group." All group mods have to approve membership, but it doesn't usually take long if the group/mod is active.

Okay, I'm new here...I guess you can call me by my username, or by Deoris...although I kinda like being called Deoris better, it's much more personal...

I don't really know anyone here, I heard about it on the messageboards on Script Frenzy about a month ago but my computer wouldn't let me create an account until now...

If you are a MZB fan, I will love you forever...I'm writing a fan-fic about one of the characters in her book The Fall of Atlantis, which is the omnibus for the books Web of Darkness and Web of Light...

A good way to find things to critique is to just go looking through the lit section or the "new posts".

I'm FreedomSeeker. English is my second language so when I start posting it'll be alot of grammar errors [ You guys can probably find in this too] Grammar is my biggest flaw but I'm trying to be better. I've been writing a little bit of this and that but im still new to this writing thing. Hope you guys enjoy my work and Nice to meet everyone.

Nice to meet you too! I'm not to good at grammer either so... We'll get along just fine, me thinks. Anyway, yea, English is my first and only language and I'm probably about as bad at it as you are. Sad. Tragic. Yea. Literaly everyone says this to newbies but, *Cringes* PM me if you have any questions. You really can, I just hate following protocale. Hi everyone! I'm alleycat13, and I am new (like almost everyone here) to YWS. I've been "writing" for a couple years, and have been creating fanfiction for almost two full years at FF.net. (my username there is alleycat1312, if you want to check it out).

I have, finally, decided to remove the crutches and begin penning original work. I have some good ideas and can't wait to get them out. Also, I love reviewing other works. It's very rewarding to help others young writers get better.

So, that's a little about me. Hopefully you'll see some of my work soon.

Welcome to the YWS!

Well now, as a new member it is, obviously, my duty to chuck a 'Howdy' out there. The name is PenguinAttack, as you can clearly see, heh, but I am not adverse to the shortening or nicking of my name.

I am fairly new to the phenomenon of posting work online, the fear continues to grip me. I am, however, not new to the whole writing thing. I have been writing sporadically - for school and whatnot - for a few years now, and at the urging, very persistent urging, I have come to join for, and I quote, "constructive criticism" lol.

That said, its not like I'm brilliant so I dont much mind the flames. And as always it is quite nice to set about with a new crowd. May I not anger or enrage anyone in particular.
