I propose that we cut down all the trees in Russia and burn them. Yes, you heard me, set those things on fire! I do not want to leave them any weapons like that.
I propose our Southern Forces move directly toward Irkutsk, using this as a central point for their defence. Taking the city as a hold will give them a strong base. The Eastern Forces will want to be moving into Vladivostok and setting up base. I’d suggest they keep at least a small contingent along the coast to waylay any smaller ships coming in. The capture of small ships will make the port easier to patrol.
Also the tree thing. They're clearly effective tanks. And replenishible with a speed one cannot find in metal work.

I propose that a special task force infiltrate the Russian high command and find out the location of these trees, which should be our primary objective. The secondary will be to pilfer the entire Russian nuclear arsenal by secreting it on our persons. We're going to need some bigger bras.

General Nate, I say that we divide into four groups, one on the east, one on the south, one on the main front and one who will pose as 'tourists' in Moscow, taking photographs until we reveal ourselves and destroy their army bases. Once that's done, we can start rolling out the Ural Mountains with rolling pins...
Russia doesn't look so big now on that little map. We can take it!
All we need to do, really, is start advancing on all fronts and just meet in the middle, right? And we could use those seemingly abundant giant logs to build a great big wooden hor-- err... I mean --great big wooden monkey to hide inside and bypass any city walls we come across.

I don't think the trees are the problem. It's the ridiculously strong Russian women. The Seamstress Corps proposes making them such pretty dresses that they refuse to lift the tree trunks in case of dirtying them.
I also think cutting down the trees and using a wooden monkey as a way of infiltrating the great city of Vladivostok is a cunning plan. As is the positioning of "harmless" tourists in Moscow and St Petersburg.
