Hanna Parker and Jerrson Hastings

Hanna looked down, feeling stupid. I need to stop asking idiotic questions She thought angrily, opening the package and examining the necklace.

Jerrson walked to the table and grabbed two Fire packages. He handed one the other Fire female, who wasn't Arwen, and sat down besides her. He tore open the package and fingered the firery red bead on his necklace. "Um, thank you?" He said polietly.

Hanna laughed at Jerr's attempt to be polite. She raised her hands to put on the necklace, causing her elbow to bump into Jayk. "Sorry." She muttered, giving up on her attempts to make him a friend. He obviously didn't want her for a friend.

Liam:

I grabbed my own package, a bit unnerved by the fact that I would have to keep something with me. As unfortunate as it was, I never really could keep track of jewelry, not that I wore any. It all seemed far too constricting for my liking.

I held the little blue gem up close to my eye. It was deep and dark, not to be mistaken with the an airy grey. It gave them impression of deep, unsettled waters. I liked that very much.

Taking my hat off, I slipped the necklace over my head, letting it fall against my collarbone idly, where it would hopefully stay if the string didn't break or, better yet, my constant fear of losing it. Afterwards, I picked up the book, not quite sure what to do with it. As much as I loved playing with water, I was no fighter. Learning moves and becoming more susceptible to actually be of use took so much time and patience. Two things I felt I needed more of. As I flipped through the pages, I couldn't help but feel a knot building within the pit of my stomach.

"This is going to suck," I muttered, more to myself than anyone else.

I wondered if anyone else was having the same feelings, but once again, refused to ask. It was better to be quiet and stay low. To ponder from a distance. To let people come to me first. I was used to that. It was what I knew.

I turned my eyes towards the fire fundamentals. They seemed quite a bit more excited then I was which I suppose was to be expected. The Earth fundamentals showed little care, but nothing disdainful towards the certain books. The air fundamentals didn't appear to care at all, to be quite frank. They smiled and brushed everything off as if nothing could affect them. I was jealous of that fact.

And the water fundamentals. Well, it was safe to say I didn't feel they were much like me at all, not that I could really make judgements so soon.

I stood up and walked over to collect my package after a couple of people had collected they're packets. I picked it up and walked over to a seat by Rory and sat down. I regarded the fire elementals cautiously as the old saying ran through my mind if you play with fire you get burnt. The water elementals seemed calm enough the other air elementals seemed a bit too laid back for they're own good and the earth seemed like they wanted to prove the authority over the rest of us. Rory however seemed different.

"Nice handling of the situation" I said and she shrugged.

"Are you going to thank me then"

"Should I ?"

"Well unless you had a reason"

"I always have a reason its one of my two talents in life" I said trying to catch her eye but she was staring thoughtfully into the ground as though I was just a nuisance and she had more important things to think about.

"Look I deal with hits from thugs every day.." She started finale looking up but I interrupted her

"Ah but I am a gentleman and as such am gifted with a silver tongue" I said and grabbed her hand quickly kissing it in a sarcastic manner before she snatched it away.

"Now as a gentleman I will quickly leave before you can reprise thus leaving you only the tantalising memories of my presence" I said before standing up.

"I'm sure many women have lost sleep over such memories" Rory said in a deeply sarcastic way.

"Um I too often lose sleep worrying how my female acquaintances mange when they are not in my presence but now I truly must depart" I said turing around to walk away.

"Where to?" she asked

"Dinner, a nap and a good time with my right hand should help me contemplate the gravity of tonights revelations" I said before leaving. As I walked down the corridor from which the smell of food was wafting I hoped that I had allowed her to take her mind of her troubles for a second. She had after all saved me from a gun. Even if it was empty.

Elijah Woods~ (I think everyone should read what's in the DT also.)

I rolled my eyes at the white haired girl, Alice. Air Fundamentals were really air heads, or was it just her? I looked around and spotted the other Air Fundamentals, they didn't look as dull as her. I guess that's a good thing. I can't be surrounded by idiots all day, I'd be lighting people on fire with a smile. I turned and glared at her as she fumbled with her package and had to get help from that one Antony kid.

I guess she could feel my glare because she turned and smiled at me. I nearly flicked her off, but didn't. Instead I went up and grabbed my package. The necklace inside was pretty and matched the color of my hair, as soon as I fit it aorund my neck I could feel all the heat inside of me seem to center in my gut. The sensation didn't burn, it was actually quite pleasnt, the bundle of warmth inside me.

Is this how pregnant women feel?

I flipped through the pages in the book and saw one that caught my eye. Throwing fire balls. It seemed simply enough and that old hag was standing right there, watching everyone as they took their packets. A perfect target.

I went through the steps, trying to be secretive about it, but when the fire ball flew out of my hand all secrecy was shattered. Alice shrieked like a twit as the fire ball rushed forward but the old lady regarded it with little intrest as she held up her hadn and caught it, extinguishing it instantly.

"Congratulations on the succesful performance of your first move, Elijah." I smirked in acomplishment and flipped through the book for more things I could do to her.

"Yeah, old hag," I scoffed, "just be ready for another."

"I'm never not ready," she replied in her scratchy monotone voice. I just pulled my hair back into a ponytail and focused more intently on the pages. If I got to do things like that all day then this whole Fundamental thing shouldn't be too bad.

People were getting up to leave so, deciding to spare the lady with more fire attacks, I closed the book and rose.

"Where is the cafe," I asked.

"Follow the signs," she said. I growled low in my throat and grabbed my things.

"Cryptic hag," I murmered. The lady just blinked at me so I walked away.

Alice Belltris~

Antony opened my package for me and I thanked him happily. That thing was really sealed tightly shut. I reached in to pull out my necklace and picture book but a weird feeling washed over my skin. I stopped and looked up to find a girl staring at me. I was surprised that someone was watching me but I smiled at her anyway. I don't think I actually got her name. She turned away quickly and went to get a packet so I returned to mine.

The necklace had a light blue gem with white spirals on it and it was really pretty. I wasted no time in putting it on. Once the gem settled around my neck I felt the air around me shift a bit before settling.

"That was so cool," I mumbled to myself. Next was the book, the words were boring but the pictures were pretty. I was getting ready to try something out when the heat inside the room spiked. I looked up to see a fireball rushing towards the old lady. I screamed and terror and started to rise in my seat but Antony grabbed my arm.

"What are you going to do," he asked, "jump in front of it?" I sat back down in time to see the old lady catch the fire ball in her hand and make it disappear. She congratulated the girl, well Elijah, and went back to not moving. A boy got up to leave and so did Elijah. And now that I thought about it I was hungry too.

I stood up and grabbed my things.

"How do we get to the food place," I asked.

"Follow the signs."

"Excuse me?" The lady sighed and shook her head.

"At the end of the hall there is a sign that says "Cafe". It's bright red you can't miss it... hopefully." I smiled at her and turned to the rest of the people in the room.

"Would you all like to, uh, eat? I'm sure we're all very hungry."

I reached for my packet. It took me a good ten minutes to pry it open. I reached in to find a pretty necklace. I hold it up to examine the necklace. I smiled, and put it around my neck. For some reason, I feel more powerful. I start flipping through the book.

There were some pretty interesting positions and movements shown in the book, along with the description. I start to make my way outside, as I spotted that Alice girl. I think she's an Air Fundameental too, judging by her necklace. I quickly catch up to her, and now is standing beside her.

"Hi, I'm Natalie," I extend my hand while we walk.

(Hope this is okay!)

As everyone exited the room, I took my time. Just letting things sift through as I always did. Each step meant something to do. Each sign lead me in a new direction I had yet to traverse. All of it was oddly soothing.

I skimmed the floor, mostly sliding my feet across linoleum in a static manner, wondering what it would be like for water to be not just something I played with. Something I could harness. Something I could hurt people with. As I entered the first hallway, I couldn't help but feel a jolt of excitement.

I turned my eyes back towards the Informer. She was pushing a young fire fundamental in the right direction who appeared to be giving her quite the bit of sass. Fiery. I couldn't help but muse on the behaviors I had seen up to this point. Everyone suited their elements completely.

The fire fundamental was about to pass me in her haste. As usual, I did what I least expected I would.

"Hey," I reached out, though not really reaching for her. Just a motion that she should come to me. She merely turned her head, brow raised.

"What?" she asked complacently, stalling her movements for a few short seconds as if such a thing was a great bother to her.

I paused, suddenly unsure of my actions. "You're a fire fundamental, correct?"

She shrugged. "Yeah. And you're a water fundamental."

I nodded, shuffling from foot to foot awkwardly. She sensed my evasion, her hard expression losing some of its severity for a short amount of time. I'm not sure if she took pity on me or not. Maybe she was a little more controlled than I gave her credit for. "I'm Elijah. Elijah Woods."

There are times when the lips weave words before the mind can contemplate what would come of them. Times when it would be better not to talk at all, but in my case, there was rarely a thing I wasn't afraid of saying. And it just so happened this was one of those times. "Like Frodo?"

She peered at me, confusion crossing her features. "Frodo?"

"Elijah Woods," I said. "The actor. He played Frodo in Lord of the Rings."

And regretted it almost instantly.

The boy who said hello to me when I first got here wasn't just a pretty face and charm after all. I was glad someone else here had the courage to accept what had happened.

The old woman continued speaking then, so we were getting some kind of necklace. I was confident in my powers and had learned to control them, I had no choice but to learn to control them after what happened twelve years ago.

I got my package and peered into the box and was met by a glowing grey necklace staring back at me. I didn't want to waste time, I put it on and put the book that came with it in my jacket's pocket. I'd study the book in my room, not in front of all these people who didn't seem to have any control over their powers or anger. The fire fundamentals seemed a bit crazy, the old hag was able to control the one that lashed out at her.

I had to wonder, what was this old woman. She could protect herself from our powers and she was very convincing, was she also a fundamental, maybe of an unknown element. I needed the answers to all these questions and had to know more about the Karzai, that was the string that kept me attached to this ridiculous group of people.

I didn't even ask where the cafe was, I left the room and followed the signs, I had seen it on the way to this big room. I was the first out of the room and saw a few were coming behind me after I left.

The cafe consisted of a counter where you order, a menu written on a board above the counter and a live kitchen all in that one are. I didn't even spare a glance at the menu and asked for my usual, BLT sandwich with no black pepper in it and coffee with seven spoons of sugar. The service was quick, I went down and ate before anyone else even arrived at the cafe.

Perhaps some of the other people got lost in the labyrinth of boring corridors or maybe they tried to escape. Who cares anyway. I had my own aim I had to focus towards, I had to act civil and lead this group of misfits when I could since so far only Antony had shown any signs of common sense.

My thoughts veered off towards the girl Alice, she acted like a twelve year old, that was only making her more magnetic for me. I started to realize why and fought with my mind to block these feelings, they can lead to nothing but regret in the end.

As soon as I finished eating I left the cafe and went towards my room, I saw a short young girl entering the cafe then, the one who called herself Eli. She was the one that conjured up the fireball in the big conference room, the one the old hag brushed off easily.

While passing by I said, "Try to control your feelings, don't be so obvious to everyone else and that old woman. It doesn't make you look cool, just stupid.".

Eli stared back at me with a fiery anger in her eyes which was moving to her mouth.

Elijah Woods~

My eyes flashed in anger at the boy in front of me, this... this stupid Water! Damn him, I was hoping no one noticed that. A look flashed across his face, he realized what he did.

"My dad was a nerd, okay," I shouted at him, my whole body shook as I tried to control my anger. "I'd been teased too many times for this name and I'd be damned if I let it start up again, you hear me?" He was easily taller than me but I took a step forward and raised on the tips of my toes, right in his face, so he would hear the message loud and clear.

"I was just making an observation," he mumbled, stepping back. I scoffed and unclenced my fist. I had to take a few deep breaths before I stopped shaking, but I was still hot with anger. Calm down, a voice inside of me said. It's not that serious, you're not in Elementary School anymore. I turned away from the Water Fundamental and the voice and stalked off towards the cafe, all the while telling myself to stay calm.

I made it to the entrance to the cafe and was ready to hurry and get my food so I could sleep. Someone else was coming out and I tried to easily brush past him, but the words he spoke stopped me in my tracks and made my blood boil.

"Try to control your feelings, don't be so obvious to everyone else. It doesn't make you look cool."

I turned back towards him slowly, not completely processing the words and why the hell he was even speaking to me in the first place.

"I just learned a new trick and I doubt you'd be able to deflect it like that old hag, you bastard." He just walked away from me, which made me even angrier. "Hey," I shouted, "don't you hear me speaking to you?" But he just kept walking. I screamed loudly and threw a few fire balls at a nearby wall. I don't know how much longer I could survive here. The walls absorbed my fire balls like nothing, leaving only burn marks and a few holes. Once I saw the mess my breathing calmed and I continued my journey for food.

Destruction of private property always made me feel better.

Alice Belltris - Air (I think we should start posting out elements beside our names too. It's hard to keep up with who controls who right now.)

I walked out of the room with my things in my hand. I didn't see any red sign and the end of the hall looked so far away. I sighed and closed my eyes as a sudden wave of exhaustion hit me. I'd only taken a few steps forward when someone ran up towards me. I turned around, afraid that someone was trying to attack me, but relaxed when I saw a girl with blonde hair that didn't look too scary.

"Hi! I'm Natalie." She thrust her hand out and I stared at it for a few moments before realizing she meant for me to shake it.

"Oh," I gasped, grasping her hand in my own. "I'm Alice." I then noticed the necklace around her neck, it looked exactly like mine. "You're an Air Fun.. Funda.."

"Fundamental," she finished for me. I smiled and nodded. She just laughed. "Wow, you really were asleep during that whole thing, weren't you?" I nodded and laughed before starting to walk forward again.

"Yeah, I was. Lectures bore me. Hey, Natalie, can you help me find this food place." Natalie smiled and nodded.

"Of course, we Air people have to stick together, right?"

"Yeah!" We were walking to, hopefully, the cafe when a sudden scream rang through the hall, I shrieked and covered my ears, causing my book to fall. I picked it up quickly and stared at Natalie with wide eyes.

"What was that," I asked, terrified.

"I don't know," she replied, "but let's walk faster."

We actually ran and were at the food place in no time. On the wall beside the entrance were some burn marks on the wall.

"Seems like the Fire's are freaking out again," Natalie mused lowly. I peaked inside the doors to the food place and saw Elijah grabbing a tray. Oh, so that explains it. I grabbed Natalie's hand and pulled her inside with me.

"Hello Elijah," I drawled loudly, waving at her with the hand that carried my book. She turned towards me and stuck up her middle finger... whatever that was supposed to mean. It was probably her way of waving, like some people only waved with their fingers and others, like me, with their whole arm. So, because I was always willing to try something new, I raised up my middle finger and showed it to her. A big smile was planted on my face, but Elijah wasn't smiling back. She actually looked angry. Maybe I wasn't doing it right... I dropped Natalie's hand so I could use both my hands to stick up the middle finger. Elijah stopped piling food on her tray and gave me a death glare, I could see her shaking slightly. I dropped both my hands slowly and went to get some food.

"Um, Alice," Natalie started, "why did you just flick off that Elijah girl?"

"Flick off? I was just saying hello."

David Baker- Air

I watched amused by Eli temper flare and the demonstration spurred me on to open my pack. A small brown book fell out of it onto the table and I caught the necklace bringing it closer to my face to admire it. It was a collection of small grey pebbles each with three little lines that represented then and matched up with the three little lines on the other pebbles. in the centre was an obsidian insignia of three circles of air joining. Pretty I thought before putting it on immediately I felt the air around me ripple as it noticed its new master. I was about to start reading the book when I saw the other two air fundamentals walk in.

"Hello Elijah" Alice happily called across the mess hall. Eli responded my giving her the finger I chuckled slightly but almost chocked when I saw Alice happily giving the finger back when she put up her other hand I quickly walked over.

"Flick off? I was just saying hello" Alice said

"Hi Alice I'm David I'm the other air elemental hi Natalie" I introduced my self quietly and quickly with my back to Eli.

"Alice you see this" I said giving her the finger in all its glory.

"Thats offensive it offends people and that" I said pointing towards the burned marks

"Thats what happens when fire people get offended" I said an Alice nodded she also frowned however.

"Why did she do it to me then" Alice said and I shook my head.

"Ohh she's a fire don't take it personally why don't you two come and sit with me" I said but Alice continued towards the display of food. Eli however was still standing there just looking at Alice.

"You know what I'll get your food" I said and smiled.

"What do you want?" I asked

"Anything thank you" she said me and Natalie went over and I started loading food onto a plate.

"You knew what that meant right?" I asked Natalie and she nodded.

"I'm not the best in school but I understand how the world works" Natalie said filling up her plate and walking over to sit with Alice. I walked over to Eli who had changed her position so she could continue to death glare Alice.

"Don't take it personally" I said and she turned to me.

"Why not she just gave the finger and did it with a smile on her face as well" Eli returned sharply

"Please she doesn't know what she's doing she's as innocent as a ten year old from the country she wouldn't know she was getting mugged until they stabbed her" I said and Eli shrugged.

"Maybe how could anyone be that dumb, how could anyone like that even survive in the world" Eli said still looking at Alice.

"A handle with care sticker and lots of bubble wrap" I joked pilling more food than anyone could eat onto the plate. It had become a layer of different meals as I realised I had no idea what she wanted or what she liked.

"Maybe" Eli replied she seemed a little less tense now.

"Sit with us and you'll see" I said while it was clear she didn't want to sit anywhere near Alice she agreed anyway and we walked over to the table.I put the mountain of food in front of Alice and she smiled before tucking in delicately. I sat next to her with my food but regretted it instantly. If Eli decided to shoot a fire ball and it missed it a one in three chance of hitting me.

"Elijah thats a strange name for a girl" I said taking a bite of my sandwich when I looked back to her the death glare had turned back on but it was directed at me Eli looked as though I had just shot her cat and then her dog. In fact that look in her eyes made me feel as though I had caused every bad in her life.

"Stange but lovely don't you think Natalie" I said and the glare shifted to Natalie who swallowed what was in her mouth without chewing.

"Yes lovely" Natalie said and I smiled.

"It conveys a certain depth" I said and Eli seemed calmer again.

"Learnt anything interesting from your book?" I asked.

Arwen | Fire:

I walked down the corridor. I pulled out the neclace. It was red and orange, with a grey flame etched onto it. I put it on, and I felt the air warm around me, and a loveley warm heat settle in my belly. Smiling, I flicked through the book, then walked up to Elijah.
"Did ... did she just flick you off?" I asked. She grunted an affirmative. I laughed. "Talk about an Airhead," I shook my head.
"She's just ... grr," Elijah muttered, shoving the food onto her plate.
"Should we scare her? I have an idea," I pulled out my book and showed her the picture. Our eyes me, and we smiled.

***

I sat on the table near Alice.
"What we all talking about?" I asked, shoving the food into my mouth.
"Nothing really,"
The Fireball shot across the room. I shrieked as it hit my neclace, and my hair erupted into flames.
I shrieked, and Alice jumped up.
"Are you OK?" She asked. I cried out again, and extinguised the flames. I burst out laughing.
"That's what you get for flipping off a Fire Fundamental," Laughing, I gave her a small waggle of my fingers and joined Elijah on the other table.
We both burst out laughing.
"Hey," A boy slid into the seat next to me.
"Hi, I'm Arwen, this is Elijah... you're Jerr, aren't you?"

Hope you guys don't mind if I clear up the seating and such! I'll mention everyone (not all by name but it will be clear enough) just so that we know where they're all sat. They can move of course, it's just so I have something to go off.

Aurora Clavelle - Earth

I still hadn't opened my packet as I watched the boy leave, feeling hopeful. He was David. I didn't remember every name as there were a lot to take in through one hearing, but I'd paid close attention to his. He was, afterall, the one who stood up to the crazy thug with the gun. Which was maybe a harsh way to think of Jayk but I needed to remember. I couldn't count on him, not if that was the way he was likely to act in a desperate situation. No. It was people like David who I would be counting on.

As I followed the signs to the cafeteria, I opened my package and slipped the necklace around my neck. And I watched them. I didn't like what I saw. The youths were naturally congregating into groups but by the time we'd reached the tables and people were sitting down with their food, there was a definate pattern. The tables each seated six and my fellows were occupying two. Not two sitting next to each other but two seperated by another table in between. At the one on the right sat all three of the air fundamentals - I could not put a name to either girl - and two fire, Jerr and Arwen. Then at the other table were the other two earth - Jayk I knew but the other I could not recall - the remaining fire, a girl called Elijah, and Liam, a water. I could see the last two, both water, not far behind me, still filling their plates with food.

I didn't like the separation. I didn't like the necklaces in truth as it was now too clear who bellonged to each group. I would have taken mine off to make another statement except that the Lady had said they would help with control and there were certainly those who needed it here. Groups. This was too much like gangs for my liking and pairing like with like was not the way to make us strongest. In an ideal situation you wanted people with different talents and different strengths paired together. It would have to be fixed.

I carried my tray of food over to the empty table in between the other two and set it down there. I took a seat calmly and smiled at anyone looking my way. The two who had been behind me in the queue followed and took seats with me. Good.

"Hi, Hanna wasn't it? Well it's good to meet you, even if the situation isn't ideal." I gave her a friendly smile and then turned to the boy. "I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch your name earlier-"

"Antony Cove," he said in a cool manner as he put his hand out across the table. "But most people call me Ant."

"I'll try to remember this time," I said with a grin, shaking hands with him.

Following Kitty's seating arrangement

Jayke Hartz - Earth

I couldn't understand why that girl... Hanna, one of the water elements, kept trying to... trying to... I don't know... interact with me? Was this some attempt at friendship? Was someone actually trying to be my friend? Or was this just little me being paranoid and still slightly high? After all, no one would want to be my friend. Right? Memories flashed through my mind.
***

"Jayk! Wait up man!" Josh came running up to me. I slowed my jog down for him to catch up. We were both 8 years of age.
"Come on... how many times do I have to wait for you?"
"I'm not as fast. You play soccer, I play video games."
"Well you should try to go outside more."
"As if," Josh nudged Jayk. They shoved each other around some more before walking to the corner store. A group of older kids stood by the door, smoking and chatting.
"Jayk," Josh whispered, "what should we do. Those guys look like trouble."
"Just ignore them. We'll be fine," Jayk pushed past them and went for the door. A hand came to rest on his head.
"Whoa, whoa whoa, little man, where are you going? You gotta pay a fee if you want to enter."
"Uh... why?" Jayk asked.
"Because. We said so, now come on, fess up the money," he held out his hand.
"No!" the answer came out before he could control himself. The olders boys looked shocked. They had been picking on kids for so long, but was this kid actually defying them? Jayk found himself pushed to the ground and as the boys beat him, his last sight was of Josh running away.
***

Jayk found himself sitting at a table alone. It was better that way, he told himself. I made a bad impression on everyone from the start, with the whole gun thing. I shouldn't get myself involved with anyone. They don't like me anyways. Man I was stupid. Someone put their tray beside me and sat down, Thuake. We both ate in silence. Another girl joined the table, Elijah. Liam too joined the table. Ignore them, I told myself, they're just sitting to eat. Relax... don't mess this up now. Someone at the table cleared their throat: a conversation starter.

Antony Cove - Water (Just so everyone knows where they are, I'm going to list them in Ant's post.)

I shook the girl's hand with a lazy smile.

"My name is Aurora," she paused for a second.

"So you're Earth, right?" She swallowed a spoon of food before shrugging and answering.

"That's what they say." I smiled and turned towards my right where another girl was sitting. Her name was Hannah. She turned towards me slowly, with an uncertain smile on her face.

"Hi, Hannah, I'm the other water. I can see you are too."

She looked down at her necklace and then back up at me, her smile more relaxed and comfortable.

"Oh yeah," she said. "That's right! Where's the other? Aren't there three of us?" I looked around in an attempt to answer her question, but Aurora beat me to it.

"He's over there with Jayke and Elijah. Liam, right?"

"Yeah," both Hannah and I said at the same time. I apologized to her, embarrassed slightly, and went to grab my drink. It was a tall cool glass of water and it felt nice going down my throat. I swallowed the whole cup down frantically, not realizing how long it's been since I've had water until the heavenly substance was in my mouth. I finished the whole glass in seconds and, once I put it down, Aurora was giving me a weird stare and Hannah was smiling knowingly. My cheeks colored in embarrassment.

"Thirsty," Aurora asked. I chuckled nervously and scratched the back of my head.

"Right." I averted my gaze and looked around the room, trying to dispel the unease I felt. I saw Elijah get up from a table to go and talk to Arwen, which could not result in any good. Alice, the other air Fundamental, and David were sitting and talking at a table. The whole Elijah and Arwen talking thing made me nervous, so I turned to Aurora automatically for help. I don't know why I looked to her immediately, it just felt right.

"You see that," I asked her. She was looking at the two girls also with a frown and disapproving glare.

"Yeah. They're up to no good. I can feel it." She paused and watched as Arwen went to go sit next to Alice. Aurora stood slwoly and looked down at Hannah and me. "Come on," she said, and I followed without question or haste. We all stood and turned to start towards the group to see if anything was wrong when I saw Elijah raise her hand, move it around in a certain pattern, and throw a fireball at the group. Aurora groaned and anger and took off towards the group, I jogged behind her to keep up. Before we could get there, though, the fireball hit Arwen in the chest and her hair lit up in flames.

The girl cried out in pain and, just like that, I knew it was a prank. Arwen was a Fire, so she shouldn't be in pain. Fire wasn't supposed to hurt her. Alice, however, who was sitting next to her, shrieked and jumped out of her seat. Her high pitched scream vibrated in the air, the sound magnified because her element actually was Air. Before things got out of hand Arwen put out the fire and laughed loudly.

"That's what you get for flicking off a Fire Fundamental!" She turned and left to go sit at a table and Elijah followed. Aurora, Hannah, and I headed for the table. I was actually mad at Arwen and Elijah, this emotion I've only felt once before. It was unsettling and made my insides squirm.

"That was a dirty nasty trick," I yelled at her. Arwen just looked up at me with a sly smirk that made me want to... want to what? It made me want to drown her.

My eyes widened in horror at the though and I stumbled back. I needed to get away, so I left her at the mercy of Aurora. I went back to the other table where Alice was looking confused and the people around her were trying to explain. I fixed my face with a friendly grin in attempt to cover up the disgust I felt for myself, and took a seat.

"Hey, are you okay? That was a very mean thing they just did. I hope everyone is okay."
