I leaned back on my chair, with my arms crossed. I tried to take in what that woman was saying. Good, bad, Fundamentals. Sounds like a superhero thing. I silently laugh at the thought. I press my fingers to my cheek again to find the running mascara still there. I quickly wipe it away, hoping it wasn't that bad.

I looked to the others, who were talking. I didn't really get to talk with my parents. It made me wish that they could've just ditched their work and stay home with me. I was their only daughter, nope, only child. I deserved better from my parents. I needed a life with them. I hope they can reflect on that when they find out that I supposedly threw myself off my house balcony.

I bite my lip. I look over at the dozing girl. I scratch my head, before tapping her shoulder. She woke up, startled at first, but then calm. She looked over to me.

"Hi," I started. I extend my hand. "I'm Natalie."

I turned my eyes towards the girl who had previously spoken to me, letting a small smile pass. Wide blue eyes stared back at me for only a few short seconds before turning back towards the Informer. I'm sure she hadn't meant anything by it. Or maybe eye-contact embarrassed her. I liked eye-contact. People couldn't hide much when locked in a glance.

"Hi," I whispered back, smile widening.

The Informer had prattled on for quite a while about things I really didn't care all that much about. Not that it wasn't interesting to say the least. A foundation of information towards what we are and why we are is never a bad thing. Just that, when it came down to it, I didn't care that I was made like this. It was apart of my being and one I couldn't control. Yeah, it made me a little different but it wasn't something anyone needed to know about.

I crossed my arms over my chest, hoping the girl would speak with me again instead of waiting so impatiently for something else to happen. I was a restless. I wanted to be off doing something; anything for that matter.

"I'm in," I replied soberly, as if such a thing even mattered. "It's at least something to do."

The Informer looked at me, her spry appearance giving off a heavy authority. The kind of presence that put me at my edge. "Really, now."

"Yeah," I said. "I'm bored. What do you want me to do?"

She smirked but did not answer. Instead, she looked back towards the rest of the group, waiting for everyone to calm down. I was not all that great at water control, either, but if it was necessary of me, I would learn. I needed something better to do than just sitting in my apartment, writing listlessly away on an old, beat up computer.

"Just one thing," I added before she could speak again. "Is this a hopeless cause?"

She raised an eyebrow, lips pursed. "Why would you ask a question like that?"

I shrugged, leaning back in my chair with little care. "Just that most of our deaths have been faked. Its oddly convenient that if we were to die for whatever cause you want us to, our family is already prepared for that outcome."

"Give me one damn reason why I should help you." I hissed, glaring at the old hag.

"To save the world." She replied.

"Fuck that! If you think you can just kidnap us, fake our suicide, put us through hell, and expect us to help you, then you are dead wrong!"

She laughed. "You don't really have a choice, Mr. Hastings."

"So, what you're saying is that you will force us to help?" I snarled. I hated being controlled, and I knew damn well that the hag knew it too.

She nodded, smirking. That did it, I started to rise out of my seat, my eyes snapping fire, my right fist a ball of fire.

It was chaos. The boy, Jerr, had lifted his arm, a fist of fire. I leapt to my feet and grabbed his arm.
"Jerr!"
"Who are you?" He snapped, shaking me off.
"I'm a fire fundamental, like you, but listen," I dropped my voice to a whisper. "Why hasn't anyone stopped you attacking her?"
He lowered his arm slightly. I'd just noticed it too.
"What?" He gasped.
"I think ... I think it's a test." I whispered. "But I'm not sure,"
Our eyes met. Jerr gulped, hesitating.

(It is up to the SB leaders if it is actually a test or not. You can run with it or discard it if you want.)

So many questions, so many answers. I could barely concentrate on all of them. They flew back and forth, back and forth... I was tired of it. These people- no these kids, were all worried about nothing. Hell, one of them had even tried to introduce themselves to me.

"Hello," she said. I responded with a grunt. Despite my grunt usually turning people away in a matter of seconds, she persisted on trying to introduce herself.
"I'm Hanna, what's your name?" I closed my eyes, wishing that this girl would leave me alone. Still, I decided to answer her question in the hopes that the aswer would satisfy her desire for sometype of human contact.
"Jayk. Jayk Hartz," she nodded and then paid attention to the old hag at the front. She was spouting nonsense over demons and what not. I mean, I've played a lot of video games in my down time, but this lady needed some help. People were arguing with her about why they should fight when they had been kidnapped. Suddenly, one person got out of his seat, fury shining in his eyes. Hey, he seems like my type of guy, I thought. His hands were balled into a fist and fire exploded from his palm. There were gasps from around the room. I'll admit I was one of them too. I had never known that there were other's besides myself. A girl stood to try and calm him down, claiming that this was a test. It sounded reasonable and it looked like she had it under control.

But if there's a fight, I'm there. Always the instigator, I stood and slammed my fist on the table. A section of the table split off and I suddenly realized that I had hardened my fist with stone unconsciously again. Everyone stared at me. Awkwaaaaard. I tried to be reasonable. After all, no one in this room looked older than 20 with the exception of that lady.

"Ok, calm down," I said slowly.
"Calm down? You're telling me to calm down when you just broke the table?" the fire element said. I bit my lip to control my own anger. No one told me what to do. I was the only person who controlled myself.
"That was an accident, so chill," I could see people beginning to shift their eyes around, wondering if they should subdue the problem. The old lady cleared her throat,
"Ahem, will the both of you sit down?" the fire element made the motion to sit down,
"Fine, I'll listen to what you have to say. But if what you say doesn't satisfy me, I'm going to jump over the table and give you a beating. One that will leave you burned and black," he sat down, but not before giving me the eye. That did it for me. I wasn't going to stand down now. I pulled out the gun in my pocket, though it had no ammunition, and pointed it at all of them.
"You know what my problem is? I'm expected to fight with these bunch of kids? How many of you have actually being in a fight during your life time? How many of you have ever been in a life or death situation? How many of you have ever had a gun put to your head?" I placed mine against my temple for emphasis, "And you're telling me I have to save the world with these people? Give me a good reason why I should."

(Hehe, Princess, he hasn't introduced himself yet xD)

Hanna Parker and Jerrson Hasting

"A test? How do we know you aren't lyng about this monster guy? How do we know you aren't going to lock us up and study us, like lab rats?" Hanna growled, meeting the womn's dead eyes with her storm blue ones.

"A Water Fundamental with a temper. Interesting." The woman chuckled dryly.

Jerr extinguished the fire and sat down, glaring at the hag. "So, if and/or when we defeat this monster andd save the world, are we free? We can go back to our families?"

(I'm going to go my posting order and ignore ignorance post sorry it just goes against the previous post and doing anyway other way just gets confusing.)

David Baker

"Stop being a crazy asshole" I said standing up as the earth elemental lost it and started waving his gun around.

"Why should I ? one reason and I'll put the gun down" The Earth elemental said.

"Because no ones going to die today" The female who had been standing up said as she put the crazy earth user in a lock and gently removed the gun from his hand. I smiled and sat down. The crazy elemental sat down when the female released him and she threw the gun into a corner.

"Empty" she stated.

"Good, now if the pissing contest is over" The informer said looking at everybody making sure no one else had something to say.

"The truth is you don't have a choice we've already gone to great lengths to fake your death were not going to let you walk out of here plus what would be the point if you fail to help save the world then all you get is a couple months, maybe year,in a cell before Karzai comes and kills you. The only choice you have is dying for sure or only possibly dying. It seems an obvious choice to me but then I'm old perhaps its different with you kids" The informer said and it was fair to say she had put us all in our place.

My head shot up when I heard about coming back to our families. My eyes bored into the woman's eyes, hoping the answer would be yes.

"Can we go back to our families after?" I repeated.

"Depends," she responded. "But I doubt it."

My eyes widened, then I lost hope. I sunk back down in my seat, and started combing my hair with my fingers. I don't want to be here. I never wanted to leave. I never asked for this. I don't think anyone in this room would want to be here!

(Hope this is okay! And can someone interat with Natalie please? She kinda seems idle to me.)

Everyone was silent for a minute. I massaged my neck. That chick, I couldn't believe she had put me in a head lock. A strong one for that matter. She had tossed my gun aside, but I didn't care to pick it up. The silence persisted as we tried hard to swallow this information. I accepted it as it was. The world failed to surprise me at this point. The old lady spoke again.

"Now that I've gotten the back story out, how about we introduce ourselves? We'll try to break the ice with that."

(Ok, so what's this old lady's name?)

(Okay, don't just go against my post, dude. It gets everyone confused, and I was the one who acted on it first.)

Hanna Parker and Jerrson Hastings

"I'm Jerrson." He raised his hand lazily. "Next."

Hanna glanced at the hot-headed Earth Fundamental. "With a temper like that, you should've been a Fire." She whispered.

I decide to stand up. I look to everyone in the room before introducing myself.

"I'm Natalie, Natalie McKenzie. I'm an..." I look to the woman. "Air Fundamental?"

The woman nodded, so I sat down and crossed my legs.

"I'm not hot headed," I mumbled to myself, "I just hate it when people try to start a fight they don't follow through or tell me what to do," but I didn't want to make this a further mess so I said nothing further. Natalie introduced herself as my mind was flooded with thoughts. I stood,

"Jayk Hartz. Earth."

"I didn't say you were hot-headed." Hanna mumbled back. "Why are you so defensive?"

Unable to sit anymore, Jerr got up and leaned against the wall besides the other Fire girl. "Hi." He whispered.

"Hey," I whispered back, then I stood up. "I'm Arwen, Fire,"
He crossed his arms, leaning against the wall. I stood , back against the wall, next to him, surveying the room. The Hag gestured at me to sit down, but I ignored her.
"So how did they fake your death?" He asked. I shuddered.
"They said I overdosed on medicine, or something," I said, shrugging, trying to act as if it didn't upset me. "What about you?"

No offense, guys, but at this rate, I'm dropping.

Let the actual leader of this sb come in and sort things out before we start beating each other up and, quite frankly, putting guns to each other's heads.

So just calm down and stop being so melodramatic. Its annoying.

That and this is a storybook. Can we try to keep the posts at least over a hundred words?

And further discussion should be had here.
