Hey everybody. Nutmegan595 here. Just saying hi and suggesting any fantasy/action readers go check out the first two chapters of my novel Mostly Human. I'd love comments and critiques and if you have any stories you think I would like suggestions would be awesome.
Thanks everyone!

:smt039 Welcome aboard, nutmegan595! I'm Searria, though most people call me "Sea" or "Ria" here. Actually, no one calls me "Ria," but there's no reason why you can't be the first. ;)
What is your novel about? I would be happy to check it out for you. :D I used to write a lot of fantasy, and I have about ten beginnings and basic outlines of fantasy novels that have been tucked away in my writing binder for now. :D
If you want some help getting to know the site, you can get your own amazingly friendly, wonderful guide from The Buddy System. Our job as a buddy is to answer all of your questions, give you little tips about the site, introduce you to other members, and review most (if not all) of your work for a period of one month. A lot of buddies stay in contact after the one month is up.

So...story suggestions. If you're asking about published books, some of my personal favourites in the action/fantasy genre are (the real) Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie, The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner (though it's not really fantasy), The Prydain Chronicles by Lloyed Alexander. If you want some stories posted on YWS just go "Discover Works - All Literary Forums - Fantasy (or Action/Adventure)" and you'll get a wide variety of stories and styles.
So, welcome to the site. I hope you enjoy yourself here. We have a fantastic community of completely insane encouraging and helpful writers. If you have any questions, want a review, or just feel like chatting, feel free to shoot me a PM (private message). Happy writing,
-Sea- :elephant:
'Let's eat Grandma!' or, 'Let's eat, Grandma!' Punctuation saves lives.

Reviews? You know you want one. :)

The one I have on here is about vampires. My vampires appear completely human until just before their sixteenth birthday. Then they start changing to be nocturnal, drink blood, and have heightened senses and physical abilities. The main character, Anna, is about a week away from her birthday at the start of the book. The story follows her through her entrance into the world of vampires.

If words are just letters put together, why do we decide on what they mean?

I step away from the grammar to review the story.

I don't do poetry.

Hello and welcome! It's nice to welcome you to our considerably large (and fast-growing) YWS family. Just to warn you, we're all a bit bonkers... but that doesn't mean we're scary, honest :) I'll be sure to keep a look out for your writing and if you have any questions feel free to pm me or write on my wall!
Happy writing!
Icy :)
