so many times a part of me has tried to give it all up
so many times it sighed and desired to quit
so many times...
yet I stick to my pole star, an infinite strength leads me to it.

And I know, nothing remains the same here
the desert gets harsher as my one man caravan progresses.
No complaints.
it's the reality - and I accept it.

I accept my insecurities
I accept my flaws
I reject all discouragement
for I'm not perfect, but I'm not worthless.

my right hand bears the melting wax
as it drips
I'll blow all the candles with one whisper
just let me find my finish line.

Feels like I can make it through anything
Feels my ventricles pump strength with the blood
I'm thankful for this gift, and
you'll witness the homecoming

when I'll bring with me,
the proof that no struggle goes in vain,
and that no power can stop a soul that tries,
I will be the proof.

warriors walk fearless but not heedless
cowards want appreciation
fake shows of bravery, only deserve pats
and short lived claps from the hands of mortals.

but real bravery
finds you a place where peace
falls down to you from trees of deeds
whose seeds you watered with patience and perseverance,

In spite of the times when a part of me wanted to give up
In spite of the times it sighed and desired to quit
In spite of the times.... I still believe,
that my perseverance will lead me home.

I love this part where you depict yourself in a humble manner. Telling the truth without being arrogant. Your description of yourself is to me a general truth, it applies to all human kinds. But in another verse of your poem you seemed a bit arrogant to me, when you said that you will be the proof of making it work. Because you should be following examples of people who succeeded in their lives due to their perseverance. Examples are already set to us in this world.
In spite of this dichotomy I really appreciate how you are being proud and more than self confident.
My analysis of your piece of work is based on the way I perceive your personality according to what you write.
The overall work is amazing and inspiring. It encourages me to stand still and persevere in life however tough circumstances are. Congratulations. Keep up writing. I am looking forward to read more, to appreciate more you literary works.

I disagree that the poem is in any way arrogant. There are examples of perseverance of course, but sometimes you don't relate to anyone at all. Sometimes it feels like you're going through it all alone, and I think this poem captures that well.

I like this part because it differs the two types of "courage" so clearly. Showing off, and getting through crap. I sometimes feel like my confidence isn't due to my looks or intelligence at all--what people are typically quick to show off--but to the fact that I've been through a lot of crap in my life.
