Good day, or afternoon, or evening!

So I should probably start by introducing myself.
My name is Shawn Soh. So of course I'd like it if you call me Shawn or my nickname, which is "Folius".
I was introduced into this website by my friend, who is a writer, and he inspired me to improve my writing, and here I am!

If you need to know my favourite colours are green and orange. I like to write fiction stories, usually those in the fantasy/adventure genre, though I could write other types of genres as well, if I put my mind to it that is. I hope to become a better writer, because I'm sure I have much to learn and I hope that you guys can help me in achieving this goal that I have.

I will probably start writing my stories soon. I have ideas going in and out of me and I'm trying to list them down as soon as possible, because my friend has told me to do that. A tip, I suppose?

You might enjoy the storybook section of YWS. It's a kind of role-playing game where each person plays a character and writes the next installment of the story from that character's perspective. It's a great way to experiment with characters and different writing styles.
Yes, it's always good to write down story ideas as soon as you have them. I think it was Roald Dahl who said "A plot is like a dream. If you don't write it down right away, you're sure to forget it." (That's not a word-for-word quote.)
If you want some help getting started, you can request your own personal guide from The Buddy System. As mentors, we show you around the site, answer your questions, and review most, if not all, of your work. We're extremely awesome friendly and helpful.
