Usergroups are groups of users who have come together to form their own little club within the site. They are granted their own private forums for their private use. Beyond that, though, usergroups are a very useful way to form groups focused on specific activities or focused around a specific topic, such as Tolkien.
If you wish to form a usergroup, then you must send me a list of at least four other people (bringing it to a total of five) that will participate in the group. Additionally, any usergroup that is inactive for more than five days will find their private forums deleted without warning.
In order to recruit people for your usergroup, you can use this thread to announce what group you wish to form and what its focus will be.
Now, the last thing that I want happening is for these usergroups to become little cliques within the site. Thus, it is highly recommended that each group makes some effort to recruit new members. But, no group will be punished in any form if it stays at its initial five members.
