Hi there everyone! (sorry for any mistakes. I'm writing on an iPad and autocorrect is my worst nightmare).

I'm Veritas and I'm really excited to be here! I'm tried other sites before but this one looks way more promising. So a little about myself:

I'm fourteen
I've been writing since I was three
I'm a Christian and my writing usually reflects such
I've written two full-length novel and published a volume of poetry
I write mostly fantasy but my current project is historical fiction
I LOVE to read and write fan fiction (LOTR especially)

So yeah....me in a nutshell ;)

Hi Veritas,

I'm pretty new here too. I should warn you now, this place is addictive. Addictive, but helpful, and a people here seem to be actual writers. Imagine that :P

Anyway, welcome!

Hello!

Welcome to YWS! Hope you like it here! :D

Veritas wrote:I've written two full-length novel and published a volume of poetry

That is impressive, publishing poetry and finish two novels. Kudos to you. :)

And you're writing historical fiction, I love those, I think we need more of those, most of the things I find in the library these days are fantasy or action or something along the lines of those. Which time period are you setting it in?

I like to write fan fiction too, but haven't been writing a lot of those lately. I do occasionally go to fanfiction.net to read some of those fanfics. There are some really funny ones there.

I guess that's it for the moment. Hope to see you around! :D

Hey, welcome! Let me just start off by telling you you're going to love this place. I've been here for about a month and let me tell you, this place rocks!!!!
So you've been writing since you were three?!? Thats insanely amazing! At three most of us were still potty trianing or try to figure out how to eat a ice cream cone with out half of it melting and dripping down our hands. Though not at the same time.
I can just imagine your three year old self writing. Sitting quietly in the corner of the Daycare you would almost be forgotten then you'd pull out a small purple notebook with sparkles on the front. Florishing a matching pen with a tuff of pink fluff on the top, you would begin to write.
Dear Journal, I am surrounded by imbeciles. All of my peers are half-wits. I realize perhaps it is a bit much to hope that any one else here has read the entire Lord of the Rings series, but you would think that at least one child here(besides me) would know the differents between plot and theme. You should have seen the blank looks on their faces when I brought it up at snack time. As much as it may shock you(I'm still trying to fathom it my self) not one of them knew what plot OR theme was.....
I'm just teasing, but seriously my hat is off to you for starting off so earily. I started writing when I was 14 but I didn't really get into it until about a year ago. So good job. Keep up the good work.

Hi Veritas. :) Welcome to YWS. You'll love it here.

And let me just say that's amazing that you've finished two novels, published a volume of poetry, and have been writing since you were three. I started two years ago and have yet to finish a novel. So kudos to you. Keep up the good work.

I write mostly fantasy too. By the way good luck with writing historical fiction.

And that's really cool that you write LOTR fanfiction. I just started reading the series, and so far I love it. I'd love to read any LOTR fanfiction you may post on YWS. :)

If you need any reviews or if you have any questions about YWS, feel free to pm me. I'm also in the chat room a lot. Hope you enjoy it here on YWS.
