King Morgan Darkrai

I asked Masakka, "What is the status of my kingdom?"
Masakka replied, "There are riots in the streets, all saying, 'Down with the king.' My men had to do everything they find possible to keep the riots from reaching the castle." He looked my body, studying the damage I endured. "The Resistance have done a great deal to you, have They, my lord?"
I knew he would notice. With Kali perched on my shoulder, I was ready to move in for a little surprise. I said, "Yes. They've done a tremendous deal of pain to me, yet I'm here because I escaped through the skin of my teeth." I recalled being at a ball in Fenezari's tower. I was drunk quite much, I woke up with a candlestick in my hand and no pants on. Even now, I still couldn't find out what happened to my pants. I smiled at this memory. "Sooner or later, we must celebrate my return."
Kali was snickering as Masakka asked, "Is that an invitation, my lord?"
I nodded. "Fenezari might be wondering if I'm still willing to have a little fun, so it would make his day if we made merry at his tower. Even a man like you needs to loosen up a bit."

Delilah:
I sat with father as he rested. He was safe, we were all safe. For now at least. The lack of sleep was beggining to make me tired but I forced myself to stay awak a little longer. My eyes began to close when I saw something sit on my lap. I gasped. It was a dragon.
Don't be afraid, princess. Only a sorceror can control me, but I can reveal myself to anyone if I want to. Your father knows that, but he never thought I could do it now after all these years. You are the first Abnormal to see me because I want you to. I thought I was dreaming, but the dragon seemed so real.
"Who are you?" I asked, a little shocked to say the least.
My name is Kali, dragon spirit of Aradia. I'm controlled by your father and no one else. I blinked and looked at Kali. Yet another thing someone had forgot to mention to me.
"I...I need to go...I need to clear my head. So many new things at once." I announced, shaking my head, "Tell father when he wakes up that I'll be back shortly."
Take your time, princess. Said Kali, sitting on my fathers chest.
"Call me Delilah." I said walking out of the room. I wandered about the castle, slowly clearing my head of all thoughts until I was walking aimlessly through the halls. I decided I should go back and see father, he would want me there if he was awake. I walked back in time to see Masakka, captain of the guard, leaving. Fenezari was meditating by the door, in my frenzy I must have missed him sitting there. I smiled and looked at him for a moment but decided not to disturb him. I walked in to see father awake, Kali on his shoulder.
"Hello, father. Hello, Kali."

It surprised me that Kali had decided to reveal herself to Deliah, but I guessed it was alright. As Deliah went to take her seat at my bedside, Kali perched herself on Deliah's shoulder and wrapped her tail delicately around her neck. I said, "I see Kali has taken a liking to you, Deliah."
Deliah took my hand in hers at first, then climbed onto my bed and cried on my shoulder. She sobbed, "I missed you, Father."
I held her close to my chest and felt like crying myself. I said, "I know. I missed you as well, Deliah." I kissed her forehead. "I had to escape Their hands for your sake. Every minute I spent in Their hands, I thought of you. All I wanted to do was come home and be with you. I just couldn't let you be alone without me to hold you."
Deliah was still crying, but past her tears she kissed me on my cheek. "I'm so glad you're alive and home where you belong, Father. I don't want to lose you again."
I fiddled with her hair and said, "If They capture me again, I rather take you with me than go alone."
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.

Fenezari Thaertus

I watched as Delilah entered Morgan's room Masakka having left only moments before and decided it was appropriate time to make my entrance. I slowly stood up and heard Pellentesque voice his concern you're still recovering Fenezari you need to get real rest not just meditative restoration. I disregarded what he said and made a cane of ice to support myself. I got up and stumbled towards the door slowly gaining my composure. I couldn't let Morgan see how little I had rested in all that I had been plotting and scheming to keep everything under control in his absence.

I opened the door to his room strolling in trying to maintain a facial expression of complete happiness regardless of how tired I felt. I looked at Morgan and Delilah feeling intense happiness that they were a family again, " Well my friend how are you feeling?" I looked at the scares that covered him I had healed a lot but there still quite a few showing. "I hope the Resistance treated you well." I looked at him and saw his face slowly crack a smile.

"Well the food was horrible and the torture wasn't nearly as pleasant as ours is, oh and also the bedding is horrible. They're really quite cruel we at least offer to treat our prisoner's with some kindness." Morgan looked at me I saw his eyes fill with a type of gleeful mischievousness. "Now that I'm back I would like to propose we throw a party a wild one if you would allow it. I would like to have it in your tower as it makes such an excellent environment."

I looked at him flabbergasted, had he really just said such a thing in front of his daughter. I looked at him still trying to gather my thoughts, "I don't see why you would ask you're my king you should have just made the order. But, there's someone I have to ask the permission of before I can I agree." It may be a terrible way of telling him about Delilah and I but I had to eventually. I strolled over towards Delilah kissing her gently on the cheek. "Delilah would you be utterly furious if I were to let your father get liquored up and party like a crazy person."

Delilah blushed in shock, and Morgan looked to me with a look of laughter in his eyes. He had seen this coming all along I always assumed I was the crafty one he'd seen this coming all along. Delilah nodded slowly, "of course you're his best friend and he needs this."

I looked at her, "I promise I'll behave and keep him out of any serious trouble."

Delilah:
I took my post beside father as Kali seated herself on my shoulder.
"I see Kali has taken a liking to you, Deliah." I took his hand, then changed my mind. I had missed him so much, worrying about him everyday he was gone. I climbed onto the bed and began to cry onto his shoulder.
"I missed you, Father." He held me close.
"I know. I missed you as well, Deliah." He planted a kiss on my forehead. "I had to escape Their hands for your sake. Every minute I spent in Their hands, I thought of you. All I wanted to do was come home and be with you. I just couldn't let you be alone without me to hold you." Still crying I kissed him on the cheek.
"I'm so glad you're alive and home where you belong, Father. I don't want to lose you again." He played with my short hair.
"If They capture me again, I rather take you with me than go alone."
"If They try to capture you again I'll kill them all." I said, anger dripping from my words. He patted my hair and I hugged him. Fenezari walked in holding a cane of ice. He was tired, forcing himself awake.
" Well my friend how are you feeling? I hope the Resistance treated you well." Father smiled.
"Well the food was horrible and the torture wasn't nearly as pleasant as ours is, oh and also the bedding is horrible. They're really quite cruel we at least offer to treat our prisoner's with some kindness." His eyes filled with a sort of boyish mischief.
"Now that I'm back I would like to propose we throw a party a wild one if you would allow it. I would like to have it in your tower as it makes such an excellent environment." Fenezari looked shocked, I was a bit surprised myself, but, father seemed happy so I smiled with him.
"I don't see why you would ask you're my king you should have just made the order. But, there's someone I have to ask the permission of before I can I agree." Fenezari smiled and looked at me then bent down to kiss me on the cheek. I felt the heat of a blush run to my face. Probably not the best way to tell father about us, but it worked.
"Delilah would you be utterly furious if I were to let your father get liquored up and party like a crazy person."
I nodded, Father deserved this.
"of course you're his best friend and he needs this." I said. He looked at me.
"I promise I'll behave and keep him out of any serious trouble." I smiled and nodded. Then stood up, close to Fenezari. I took one of his hand in my own and placed my other hand on his cheek, looking him in the eyes.
"Please go to sleep. You're so tired you can hardly stand." I kissed him softly then sat down again.
"As you wish, princess."

Deliah nailed Fenezari right there. The tiredness was visible in his eyes, but at least he was happy. His happiness was because I was home and still willing to get on the wild side. Once he left, Deliah was stroking Kali's spinal scales delicately. Kali was on Deliah's lap, smiling like she enjoyed the attention she was getting. Deliah asked, "Why could you let yourself get crazy during a party?"
I answered, "I've been a little tight for the past four years, so I need to loosen myself up. Besides, it's not the first time I attended a wild party at Fenezari's tower."
Kali chuckled and said happily, Your father once got so drunk, he lost his pants and collapsed on the floor of Fenezari's tower with a silver candlestick in his left hand. The way he partied that night, it was almost like he turned into a wayward teenage boy again.
I said coldly, "Kali, don't bring that up. I really don't want to bring up that event."
Kali said slyly, Too late. I already brought it up. That night made you wilder than I was when I had physical life. You were so wild, you could've snuck into a brothel and made love to the most ugliest prostitute in the brothel if you gotten any wilder. Fenezari's spiced wine made you crazy. Very crazy.
I put my head in my hand. I forgot Kali and Pellentesque were watching the party with Ventus that night. Although unseen by others, animal spirits watch anything at any given time.

Masakka Dan

I strode down the long halls of the castle, fingering the hilt of my sword and feeling decidedly nervous. It would be an insult not to go to this party the King was planning, but I had always hated parties with a vengeance. Foolish, rowdy, drunken riots they were, most of the time. I had no reason to believe this one would be any different.
But, it would be an insult not to go. I was going to this party whether I liked it or not. I mentally griped all the way down to the barracks.
My Lieutenant, Gabri, stood barking out orders like a whiplash to his men. He was especially unsettled about the riots in the streets and was taking care of them as best he could--better than I could be doing under the circumstances. Gabri was a handy lieutenant to have around. I felt unsettled about asking him to take on yet another task, but it had to be done.
When he saw me, he threw a swift salute. All the other men followed his example.
"Lieutenant," I said. "The King is planning a party and requests that I be there. I'm not sure when it will be, but I'll want you to cover for me on that day and night." I grimaced with distaste.
Gabri knew me well, and grinned. "I'm sure it's your favorite thing to do, Captain."
"Not hardly," I bit out.
Gabri suppressed his grin. "I'll take care of it, Captain."
I sighed. "Thank you, Gabri."
"Anytime."
"Pray for me," I griped over my shoulder as I headed off toward the castle.
Halfway there, I stopped and glanced around. Nobody was nearby, so I took off at a savage's run toward the stables. The sleepy stableguards tripped over each other in their haste to open the doors as I came around the corner like a madman. I dashed inside, where a stableboy had already brought out my horse and was holding out the halter. I grinned. Good boy. They were used to my frequent bouts of madness.
I slipped off the halter and threw it on the ground, swinging up to Blade's back in one smooth move. The stablehands quickly stepped out of the way as Blade went tearing out of the stable, toward the city gates. My heart didn't stop pounding like an oversized bell until we had gotten away from the city, with Blade running full-out and me clinging to his back like a burr, my knotted and tangled hair streaming out behind me.
Once we had cleared the gates, I slowed Blade into a slower run (which was still faster than any other horse in the kingdom) and allowed myself to breathe.
Pestilence take all parties.

(No ones posting, so Rio will.)
Rio:
Delilah stopped by and told me they had found him but still no patrols. It was great that she had found him and I was glad to see my sister again. Then she left to go be with him, and I was left in charge again. It worried me, being in charge of them. What if one left without my notice and go hurt? But, I couldn't disappoint my sister. I watched them, waking up all on time out of habit, but, having nothing to do. They were confused, so confused and scared. I was too, but I couldn't tell Delilah. No, she had enough to worry about.

King Morgan Darkrai
Age: 28
The Aradian Castle
Ballroom

I was dressed as a guard, waiting for Fenezari to give me the signal. Kali was perched on my shoulder, waiting for her moment to show her true glory. Much to my surprise, no king in Aradia's history has ever used an animal spirit to take the throne. I would be the first in all of Aradian history to use an animal spirit to take the throne. I waited for Fenezari's bat to contact Kali, my eyes starting to droop as my paitence began to wear thin.
Kali whispered, Now, Master. It's time to show the king what your true colors are.
I opened my eyes and smiled. At last, my moment of glory has come. I approached the crowd and got in without a slip. Under the armor, I was wearing a black tunic and matching pants to symbolize my power in Dark sorcery. I smiled slyly as I waited. Thanks to Fenezari, I knew when to make my move. I murmured, "Let's dance, sire. Let's dance."
The king declared, "This marks the thirty-eighth year of my reign. So far, I have no heir, but I am willing to let one of you step up to become my successor. Who is wanting to take the throne in my place?"
I stood out of the crowd and said calmly, "I challenge you for the right to rule Aradia. I come in the name of the Darkrai family." I stripped myself of my armor and put my fists on my hips. "I suppose you remember me seven years ago?"
The king gasped and said timidly, "Morgan Darkrai."
I nodded. "I'm surprised you remember me. I pleaded for justice seven years ago, but you kept turning me down to the point where I've gone mad. Now, it's payback time. Do you accept my challenge or not?"
The king rose from the throne and slung dirt in my face in response.
I wiped the dirt off my face and thrusted Kali into my chest. My eyesight became sharp, dark wings sprout out of my back, and my power over Dark sorcery was increased by the tenfold. I earned a lot of gasps in response to this transformation, but got a secret applause from Fenezari. I said slyly, "Let's dance."
It was an all-out battle of mud balls and black spears, but I did the most damage to the king. He was on his knees, begging me for mercy. Unfortunately, I had no mercy in me to give anyone, especially when I lost my sense of mercy during my training. That was then I became the next king of Aradia.

At the present...

I sat still in my bath, Kali sitting on the brim and looking at me lustfully. I wasn't at all modest around Kali. She could see me dressed or otherwise any time she wanted. I didn't care if she was lustful, seeing me in anything or not is her priveledge.
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.

Sorry I haven't posted in so long School just started back and I'm trying to get into the swing of thing promise not to let it happen again.

Fenezari Thaertus

Delilah had commanded I return to my tower for the evening and I was rather grateful I was bone tired and it felt like Pellentesque was doing most of the work. I went to my desk and began to write down what I would need prepared for the party. I was writing three separate message each began as such 'to whom it may concern the king has ordered a party thrown', each letter was addressed to a different group that I would require the assistance of. The chefs would be working all day on my first request I had requested they roast three boar for the festivities as well as bring two of their largest barrels of the finest ale, I had also requested in secrecy that they get the barrel of spiced wine from my families private collection. The second message was addressed to the best performing troupe in the kingdom, I had performed with them on several occasions myself, I requested the bring there best story tellers, singers, and players of all sorts of instruments; I fully intended for my tower to be a barrage of sights and sound. A special request I had made was that they bring the water sculptors artist that used magic to make shapes using water and ice, as well as the wind dancers, dancers rumored to dance with the grace of a swan, I could personally vouch for the truthfulness of this. My last message was to Masakka, I had decided to open up my training grounds for a tournament I requested his presence there of course as well as for him to gather up the strongest members of the guard. I truly wished to pit him against some of the magic users for the crowd to watch in awe as he displayed his strength, he was no abnormal but he had at least five times the magic resistance of most normal humans.

Thoroughly content with my plans for the next several days that would follow I summoned a messenger to my quarters. I was well aware of the lateness of the hour but these messages needed to be sent now for preparations to begin. As I climbed the stairs to my bedroom and my last truly conscious thought was what a rude messenger that boy was to assume that I wasn't well aware of the hour. I collapsed in my bed engaging my light charging system I was going to b waking up late tomorrow.

Pellentesque

I separated myself from Fenezari letting him gather some true rest. I consider how stubborn that boy was he never was willing to look after himself, maybe that's why he and I were destined to become partners. I flew off from his tower I would be there when he awoke but I needed to distance myself briefly from people. I flew off into the distance to follow the sun.

Kali

I watched Master fall asleep after he had his bath. I was surprised that even as a man, he still sleeps like the dead. His eyelids fluttered, but- as I found out by touching his forehead with the tip of my tailblade- it wasn't a nightmare. No, it was a strange dream that I rather not speak of. It was Master's dream, not mine. I decided to leave him with his daughter, since I learned to trust her with him. As I took to the sky, I saw Pellentesque flying off. I went to my true size and caught up with him. Your Master's cousin sure has a thing for helping people out, I said calmly. He did help my Master escape. Both me and my Master owe him.
Pellentesque reminded me, "You still owe me and Fenezari for helping your partner get better."
I said lowly, I'll repay you when that time comes. Chances are, that dept will be repaid when your Master gets in a situation even you can't handle and you need me and my Master to help get you out of that problem.
Pellentesque said, "I'll keep that in mind when that time comes."
I smiled. You remember that time where both our Masters and Ventus' Master got so drunk, they each woke up in different places? My Master was so embarrassed when he woke up without his pants on and both your Master and Ventus' Master were staring at him. You and Ventus were perched on your respective Master's shoulder, staring at my Master like he just slept with an ugly prostitute.
Pellentesque laughed. "That was a fun party that Morgan attended. While Morgan was on the floor and Leopold was only heaven knows where, Fenezari was hanging on the ceiling by his underwear. To him, that was humiliating." He thought over that memory. "What ever happened to Morgan's pants, anyway?"
I don't know. I was laughing like crazy just from watching my Master made a fool of himself while he was drunk. I returned to the castle, letting Pellentesque have his own time.
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.

Delilah:
Father took a bath then went to sleep. I sat at his bedside thinking. A Party. The only parties I had ever been to were for the birthdays of my Abnormal brothers and sisters. Never mine, I couldn't remember mine. This could be fun. Father wouldn't let me go to party where he himself has completely lost it...or would he. I looked for Kali but she had flown off. I waited for something. For Kali to come back or Father to wake up. Kali came back first. I looked at her and she came to sit on my shoulder.
"Hello, Kali."
Hello, Princess. You look troubled.
"Delilah." I corrected her, "I'm just thinking about the party."
Oh?
"Is it possible that Father would let me go? Though he and Fenezari may get...out of hand?"
That is up to him, but he is a rather reasonable man. Ask him when he wakes up.
"I can't think of anything i've ever had to ask father for. He's alwas been so kind to me, taking me in, adopting me, houw could I ask him for anything?"
You can do it. I'm here for you, too.
It was then that father woke up.
((Sorry that took so long, It was a LONG week and I had very little inspiration.))

Masakka Dan

Fenzari’s tower lit up the night sky like a flaming beacon. Shrieks of merriment and revelry rang out across the normally somber city. Brief gusts of flame shot from the windows and high grates of the roof. I grimaced. So Fen had brought in the Firemages to entertain his guests. I remembered an unpleasant encounter I had had with a Firemage several years back, and curled my lip at the unwelcome memory.
I glanced around at my companions—four of my Lieutenants. Fen had written to me asking if I would bring some of my men as he wanted to pit me against some mages to show off my strength. This request failed to stir any enthusiasm for me, but it was better to be on Fen’s good side.
I gave an inward sigh and walked unwillingly toward the base of Fen’s tower. My lieutenants moved after me, their heavy boots clinking on the pavement. I glanced back at them. Jagur, Malc, Lash, and Dominor. They didn’t look too excited about the party either. They were hard, edgy swordsmen, quick to laugh in the face of death or fight back-to-back with a comrade. We’d been through some horrors together and remained steadfastly loyal to each other and to the Crown. They were good men. But they didn’t enjoy foolishness or drunken revelry. We’d had some good times with laughter, wine and gaiety, but we didn’t lose our heads. We weren’t going to enjoy ourselves at this party.
“Well, let’s get it over with,” I muttered, heading up the spiraling staircase that led to the top of Fen’s tower. The lights grew brighter and the music grew louder as we neared the top. So did the sound of furniture breaking and drunken shouts.
We reached the top of the staircase and I thrust the huge double doors open. Greeted by a blast of noise, I fought the urge to turn tail and run. I hated loud noise like a cat. I shook my head irritably and made my way through the masses of bodes—dancing, drinking, fighting—until I came to the table where the King said with Fenzari.
“Masakka!” Fenzari exclaimed. “I was beginning to think you wouldn’t show. Welcome. Have a seat.”
I sat down, resigned to this madness, and my Lieutenants stood uncomfortably against the wall.
“So glad you could join us, Captain,” the King said with a smile. “Fen says he’s going to pit you against some mages.”
“Did he now,” I said.
“I did indeed,” Fenzari said. “How about a Firemage? That ought to be a challenge for you.”
“No firemages,” I snapped. “They rub me the wrong way.”
“If I heard correctly, Captain,” the King said smoothly, “it was you who started that fight in Caradina those few years back.”
“Yes, I did start that fight,” I said coldly. “As I said, they rub me the wrong way.”
Fenzari choked and snorted into his wine. “What did you do, douse one of them with water?”
“No,” I said stiffly. “He lit my hair on fire ‘accidentally’ so I broke his jaw.”
“Ah,” the King said. “Our poor little Goldilocks.”
“That mage’s name wouldn’t happen to be Cadmus Arngaton, would it?” Fen said casually.
I cut my eyes warily at Fen. “Yes, it would happen to be.”
Fen grinned. “Well, that’s interesting.”
An unpleasant suspicion began to take hold. “Why?”
Fen downed the last of his wine and stood up. “You might want to start limbering up your jaw-breaking muscles, Masakka. Because Cadmus Arngaton is my Firemage entertainer here tonight.”
He started off. “I’ll let Cadmus know of your proposal for a pit fight!” he yelled over his shoulder. “He’ll be glad to know you’re here.”
I launched a highly colorful string of curses after the retreating Fenzari and was about to follow him with more when the King placed a hand on my arm. He was laughing uncontrollably. “Stay and have a drink with me, Captain,” he gasped between bouts of laughter. “Who knows, it might be your last!”
I hurled one last expostulation in Goblin after the laughing Fenzari—“Bubuksh gnada agnasn SNAAA!!” before I whirled around to the King. “I hope you can resign yourself to losing your Captain,” I snarled.
The King grinned. “Oh, I think I’ll be all right.”
*
“I can’t believe this is happening,” I snapped to my Lieutenants as I paced back and forth. “Believe it or not, I do have an aversion to dying by incineration.”
“He might choose to fight you hand to hand, strength against strength,” Jagur said. “And if that’s the case, don’t worry, Captain. We’ll pick up all your pieces.”
I called him an unprintable word in Troll.
“Calm down, Captain.” Malc said. “The King and Fen won’t let him really kill you.”
“Maybe not,” I muttered. “But they won’t let me off with just a few punches, either.”
“Why are you so upset about this, Captain?” Lash asked. “I thought you broke his jaw.
“Indeed I did,” I agreed. “Then he broke my ribs and collarbone. Along with my little finger.” I showed them how it was crooked.
“The poor little pinky finger,” Dominor said, his face impassive.
“Oh, I’m sure you’re all just loving this,” I snarled.
“We are,” Lash said. “But don’t worry, Captain. If things look bad, we’ll break the chandelier and cause a distraction.”
“I believe the chandelier’s already been broken,” Malc said.
“Oh.” Lash frowned.
“Don’t bother,” I snapped. “I’m sure I’ll be having too much fun to want a distraction.”
Jagur grinned. “Just beat him, Captain. That’s all there is to it.”
“Why, thank you for that, Jagur,” I said. “I must admit, that’s a fairly new concept.”
Dominor peeked out through the crack in the double doors. “Looks like it’s time for your appointment, Captain.”
I stood up and ripped off my heavy jerkin and tunic, trying to ignore the adrenaline racing through my stomach.
I stood in front of the doors wearing nothing but my breeches and thought, dear heaven. I’m going to die.
My Lieutenants whacked me affectionately on the shoulders. “Good luck, Captain.”
I relaxed for a second, glad they were behind me.
The heavy doors swung open. I stepped out into the arena. People crowding around began to chant my name. I caught a glimpse of Fenzari and the King, sitting on a raised dais so they could see above the people. But none of these things captured my attention like the black-skinned, red-eyed man standing on the other end of the arena.
Heavy dreadlocks hung down his bare back, and his wide chest expanded as he drew in a breath. He was about half a head taller than me and twice as muscular. Bold red marks crisscrossed and curved over his black skin. Marks of a Firemage.
He stepped forward, his red eyes fixed upon me. White teeth gleamed against his black teeth in what looked like an adder’s smile. “Hello, Goldilocks.”
I could really use a kiss from Jasmine right about now.

Fenezari Thaertus

The festival of the Sun and Moon was in full sway and truly the merriment hadn't reached it's peak. Soon the moon would reach it's place the tower would go dark and be illuminated only by the moon an three crystals, gifts from my family. As I strolled around I admired each mask of those that had gathered for my festival. The Festival was intended to celebrate what gave fire and water sorcerers their power the celestial bodies: the sun and stars as well as the moon. I mingled with the crowd hoping to find my dearest friend his mask would make him easy to find. As I wandered through the crowd I saw Masakka and his lieutenants none were wearing mask as they had been training all day for this evenings tournament it would go on into the next day I was sure.

"Fenezari!" As I turned I was hugged around the shoulders and kissed rather unexpectedly. "Father and I have been looking everywhere for you." I looked to the right of Delilah to see Morgan looking excellent in the Mask of the Sun. Delilah wore the other half of my mask as tradition dictated to the Mask of Twilight.

"Morgan excellent that you have arrived I was afraid that our king would not be hear to award the Mask of Victory to the champion of this evenings half of the tournament." I grasped his wrist tight and pulled him into a hug. " I assume your dragon is here tell her the spirits are celebrating as well in the Field of Spirits if she would like to join. Pellentesque left and has been monitoring the festival here and there back and forth, he needs to relax truly."

Morgan looked at me ours eyes meeting through his mask," you my friend really can't do anything small can you."

Fenezari Thaertus (age 8 )

My Uncle had told me very little as to where we were headed he had simply given me a mask that looked like the sun and moon melting into one and told me to wear it. He wore a mask that looked like the sun and Leopold one that appeared to be the moon," Uncle please explain where are we going?"

Uncle looked at me and let out a jovial laugh," my young nephew we chase the Sun as it sets so we may see the moon as it rises we go to be with the rest of the remaining Thaertus family to celebrate the Festival of Sun and Moon." He stopped before we entered a very large glade in the middle of the forest," and now we have arrived"

From that point on I remembered very little of the night until the festival began to come to an end. I was called to the platform in front of the Pillar of Sun and Moon by an older looking fellow an elder in the Thaertus family. He looked at me and began to speak to the crowd," fellow members of the Thaertus family this is Fenezari. He is a young sorcerer skilled in the magics of fire and water. As is ancient tradition the Crystals of the Sun and Moon must be guarded by a sorcerer of great power. Soon our family will be attacked by the not only the Crown, but the Masked Resistance as well. Fenezari is young and they will not strike him down as long as he lives within the castle walls with his uncle." the elder turned to me and looked into my eyes, I felt as though, in some way he was searching my character. It felt like several minutes before he spoke again," Fenezari will you accept the responsibility of the Crystals of the Sun and Moon and guard them from those that would use them for evil."

I looked at the old man taking in everything that he had just said. I stared at the ground briefly then nodded a feeling of conviction filling me, " I accept this responsibility as a member of the House Thaertus and will guard the crystals with all that my powers allow.

Fenezari Thaertus (present)

I looked to the top of my tower thinking about the crystals up there they had begun to spin in anticipation for the moment when the moons rays would allow them to illuminate anything they touched with pure moonlight. Soon the moon would appear to rest atop my tower, I had designed it as my family intended the Pillar of Sun and Moon, the tower would glow illuminating the fields so that this evenings tournaments could easily be competed in. This festival filled me with joy to share in my families traditions with some many. I knew Morgan would have a good time this evening.

*Folks, slow down a little bit. I'm having a little trouble keeping up.*

King Morgan Darkrai

I woke from my sleep, my body full of restored energy. It was close to dawn, but I felt the power of water flow in my veins. I sat up and looked at Deliah in the eye.
Kali perched on my shoulder and said, Master, your daughter has a request that she wants to ask of you.
I took Deliah's hand and said calmly, "You can tell me. What is it you want to ask me about?"
Deliah said, "I want to come to the party with you, but I'm afraid you won't let me."
I smiled and said, "Deliah, ever since I took you in, I never refused anything that you request of me. If I go without you, then what kind of a father would I be? You and I both need this to loosen ourselves up. Even Kali could use this."
Kali said lowly, Master, that's not funny. The last time I loosened up, I lost track of what was going on.
I asked slyly, Was that time about four years ago, the day I woke up with a terrible hangover and had no idea where my pants went? My smile stayed as I told Kali that. Sometimes I knew just where to hit Kali when she tries to talk her way out of things. Looking at Deliah, I said calmly, "You can come with, even if you have to drag me back to my bedchamber when the whole thing's over."
Deliah hugged me and kissed my cheek. I could tell she was excited of participating in the party. I myself felt the same.

Days later...
Fenezari's Tower

I put on a mask so I could blend in with the crowd and show my respect to the Thaertus family tradition. Since I was practically family to Fenezari, I had to show respect to his family name. I had to help Deliah with her mask, softly telling her that it was tradition to Fenezari's family and the both of us have to wear these masks out of respect. It took us several minutes to find Fenezari, who grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me towards himself just to hug me. Knowing him, he never does anything small.
What surprised me is that Masakka decided to join the party after all. As I drank some of Fenezari's spiced wine, I listened as Masakka relanctantly explained why he and Firemages never get along. I found this greatly amusing, since I was perfectly aware that Masakka's old rival was here for some entertainment. When Fenezari left to inform Cadmus of Masakka's arrival, I had to stop Masakka from being a hothead. I tried to convince him to drink with me, but he didn't.
Deliah and I had to sit on a dais to watch both Masakka and Cadmus enter the pit. Masakka looked nervous, but I suppose that was normal for one as strong as him. I hollered, "Begin!"
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.
