My Introduction to you all.

Hello to all the YWS Writers and Reviewers,

My name's Jamie and I'm writing to you from the UK. I'm new to the site and I'm looking forward to sharing my writing with you all in the very near future.

As an aspiring journalist, writing is an important hobby to me; it helps me to relax, to clear my mind of the various thoughts up there and, most importantly, allows me to realise my full potential and what I can offer people.

I tend to be a "lovey dovey" writer as, I'll admit it from the off, I'm a sucker for romance. I hope to balance out the writing, but a warning from the beginning that I am quite mushy.

I hope to read some of the amazing posts on the site and hope to review a good few of them to do my bit for the community. Hopefully, people will feel the same way and review some of my work that I post.

I look forward to hearing from you all, but for now, enjoy the writing!

Writing helps you clear your mind? That's definitely not the case with me. If anything, I've been acting and thinking the weirdest things ever since I started writing (which was only about two years ago) ;P

Me too. For some reason, the only kind of story that I can ever write is romance >.< I 'm in the middle of writing a fantasy novel, but guess what? There's romance. It didn't even start out that way! It just sort of came to my mind while writing it, and now it's just... stuck like that >.< although.... I think I'm doing a good job with the "non-mushy" thing.... hopefully :3

But hey, what's wrong with mushy? ;P more guys should be mushy. Mushy rocks XD

I'm totally with you on the writing to relax. There's nothing better than just sitting with a pen and a pad of paper and letting the words flow out!

I'm not so with you on the romance side, though. I do love those feel good romances and and it almost always plays a side role in my novels, but I tried to write something that was purely romance and it just didn't work for me. I wanted to put my characters through Hell before I'd even started xD I don't know. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it. I do find that there needs to be more to the plot than just the relationship though.

Anyway, hai! I'm sure you'll fit in around here but if you have any difficulty finding your way around the site or you're looking for a few of those reviews, just send a pm my way. I'm always happy to help out and I'm pretty handy as an editor. Good luck getting settled!

Haha! I'm a sucker for romance too. Especially the really really soppy romances which are coupled with a predictable action/adventure story. I know... it's usually a bad mix, but I love it so much anyway! I blame my kindle for all the romances I've read lately. I can't write it to save my life though... you're very lucky in that respect!

What sort of news things make you excited, since you're a journalist and stuff? Are you really into world politics or UK politics or something? I don't know... in America, generally we like to focus on politics, just because it's crazy stuff. Or, do you like to know exactly what's going on in your community?
