I too, am more of a writer, but the title caught my attention. Very nice photo, I take and edit pictures as my other hobby.. (You have to have something to do during the writer's block.) Thw flower is pretty.. the bug however.. well... as long as it dosen't touch me, I'm good, haha I noticed you are a new member, so welcome to YWS!

Wow, this looks great! I love the focus (the bug) and the background (happy flower).
You probably didn't plan it this way, but I like how the bug is on a pretty, happy colored flower. It's kind of ironic because you say you're so scared of the bug, but the background of the picture assumes a happy theme. Well done!
I hope you'll keep taking pictures! I wish I could take pictures like that.

Good picture! Well, at least in my standards. Hehehe. My camera isn't nearly that good... It's pretty cool that you can say that openly though, most people are secretive about their fears. You're telling us because we won't be able to sneak up and put fake insects on you while your back is turned, right? As far as you know anyway 0o. Spiders, clowns, and needles, are the top 3 fears in England. I heard it on some radio thing... I think someone should make a thread on courage and/or fear or something... Well, have a good day.

Gah! I love how you chose this subject! I mean, so many people choose just flowers or flowers and cute insects, but the very fact that you would choose a pollinator that wasn't particularly pretty or cute looking (compared to a bee or butterfly, for instance) is completely awesome. And, I love the fact that this insect is all sprawled out over the flower in a very awkward manner. Juxtaposed with the beautiful flower, the insect looks almost ridiculous. So, you definitely get originality points here!
Anyway, lovely picture! It's so crisp and unique. It almost makes me wish that I were an awkward looking insect pollinating beautiful flowers.
