Based off of Annie from Elinor Brynn's tale: Annie

She gave me a short description:

I imagine her as average height, around 5'4, not fat/chubby but not overly thin either. She has very wavy light brown hair, and tannish skin. Her face is somewhat average but her eyes are the most beautiful thing about her; they're really wide and gray. I imagine her wearing skirts and shorts and shirts with either sweatshirts or leather-type jackets and low-top converse, and always some kind of floral headband in her hair. Her favorite colors are pink and navy.

And I drew it. I took what her story said and this description to draw the character. She seemed to me rebellious and flirty, but also sweet. So I wanted to capture that. In her story, Annie dies, so I drew her with a distant expression, sad, but not too sure what she's sad about.

I hope you like it boo!

If you'd like a drawing of your character, PM me a description and a link to the story. I'll probably ask your further questions.

Will soon be colored.

Wow this is amazing! It is very realistic and truly captures the expression on the face. The hair eyebrows and mouth are all great and require no work but you might consider working on the nose it doesn't look entirely right to me just yet but I understand the difficulty of drawing noses that actually look perfect so I do compliment you on how well you have drawn the nose. The eyelashes also need a little bit of work. I would recommend making them finer and adding more lashes in total, they just look to bold to me at the moment.

Moving further down the picture the neck and chin look great. The collar bone is absolutely perfect and so well concealed. The arms are also great but the hands look incorrectly proportioned in comparison to the arms. Despite that the hands themselves are actually incredibly good. I have always had trouble drawing hands and the one's you have drawn are perfect (if you have any tips on drawing hands I'd love to know them! :D.)

The dress is cool and the creases have been correctly displayed. The legs are also good but the shoe's seem quite big in comparison to the feet. All in all a great drawing. Art is obviously your forte and I think you are really talented. You definitely get a like from me. Good luck for further drawing challenges and I hope to see more of your pictures around. They are really fantastic.

Hello,
I doubt you will take the time to look at this signature, you are all busy people and I respect that, but if you do know this. Every bit of criticism on my writing has helped and every bit of advice you have given me has also helped. So thank you, for everything.

Aww, that's a nice picture of me! I kid. My name's Annie. But I've read that, and that's how I imagined her too. :3

Sam!

I love you, you know that? I already stressed how much I think this drawing is beautiful. You're a wonderful artist, and I hope you never stopped. This is like, close to my exact vision of Annie. Did you use any kind of special pencils to get that coppery tint to it? Even if you didn't, I like it and I think that it adds to the drawing a lot. Her hair and the eyes are beautiful, and I like the outfit that you put her in even though it's not quite exactly what I would have imagined. The hands are great! Whenever I draw some, they just look like mickey mouse gloves. :P The expression that you captured her in is perfect, it is really is...I can't wait for you to read the script to see just how much.

I guess you could say the only thing I don't like in this is her nose. It's kind of big, and it just seems out of place with the rest of the drawing. That's okay, I know you worked really hard on this, and I still love it bunches. I can't wait to see you color this!

Yeah, no one likes my big noses. D: But that's how I draw, and for some reason I picture Annie with a large nose... so I did it!

And I edited the picture to give it this tint. ^^

Awe! I like the big nose! I think it's really cute (the nose, and the picture over-all...)...

To me, her eyes look kind of rectangular... you know? It doesn't really look bad, but I feel like eyes should be a little more eliptical... or, not elliptical I guess, but football shaped.... but maybe they just look rectangular because she's squinting... I don't know...

Lips= nice. Eyebrows? Well, they're just sort of lines, as if her's burnt off and she draw them in with eyeliner... (some people actually do that... I haven't read Elinor's story... for all I know that actually happened XD)

Otherwise.... I think the shading in her dress is just INCREDIBLE. I love this picture, man.

Aw, I'm so jealous of you! This is incredibly sweet; I can't believe how well you draw, and how well you took the description into your own hands- literally! I am amazed at your work. You should draw not only for others, but for yourself as well. :) I bet they would be more passionate, because you're so close to the origin. Once again, great job!!

I. Love. The shoes. I'm never really good with different angles though I'm trying to better myself. It looks to me that you've got it down and I really like the style. You matched the description almost perfectly. The only thing I did notice was that she wasn't wearing the floral headband that the description said =[. But I guess that's nothing to worry about. Overall it's a really fantastic piece of art and I hope to see more. =]

Wow, I love everything except I think you could improve on the nose and the shoes.

Nose- It's a bit large and it's fine if that's how you wanted it, but then you could make it a little longer.

Shoes- the only thing wierd is that the toes seem to be kinda big.

Other things to improve on-

Eyes- the eyeylashes were kinda long, to long for liking anyhow

Hair and face-They were kinda pointy, maybe you could round it out some.

Chest (area)- Her right boob seemed to be a little larger than the other

Arms- The lower arm is a little chubby, and the description said not chubby.
Last thing!
Fingers- Very good except the finger nails kinda stuck out (Better fingers than I could ever draw.)

Sorry I was kinda mean, just trying to make your picture better. If you change it, please tell me, I'd really like to see it! BTW, it was way better than anything I could ever do.

Thank you guys!

(your reviews are not mean at all).

When commenting on things such as how big the shoes and nose are, just keep in mind that this is my personal style. I'm not trying to look like anyone else, or trying to make them look real.

Thanks so much for all the feedback! I appreciate it a lot.

Hi classy!

*squees*

This is sooo good. I'm not really sure if I can properly describe how much I envy your style, so just let it be known that I'm actually squirming in my seat in a mixture of jealousy and adoration. :smt003

I really like the way you've drawn her facial features, and the shading overall is very good, particularly on the face and the oh-so-cute nose. One of the things I like most on this is how you've drawn her collarbone - it's such a small detail but one that is so hard to get to look right, and here it looks beautiful <3

I'm kind of torn over the feet, cause whilst it's not a way I would ever draw them or a way I would ever consider to be visually appealing, I really like them that way. It looks a bit like the Kingdom Hearts style of feet and hands, if you've ever played that? Either way, they just add to the cuteness.

The only thing I would point out as somewhere to improve would be the way the fabric falls. Her skirt just splays out a bit randomly, and as pretty as it looks, it doesn't look as if the fabric is falling very naturally.

Other than that tiny weeny detail, I think this is amazing, and can't wait to see if you post more art in the future. :D
