> 'Kay, thanks for letting me know. I'm looking forward to it.<
Raven~

I tipped my head and replied "hello, Angel." I had met her a few other times, she admired my hats and enjoyed watching me and my brother (cringe) make them. But besides that, I didn't know much about her, nobody did, she was a mysterious creature, then again, we all were.

"Is she really an angel?" I heard one of the descendants ask.

I turned around, seeking the speaker. "Well if she were then she would be, but I'm not sure if she wasn't." Everyone looked confused but I just turned around and headed towards the White Queen's castle. "Come along then." I whistled to call my Tichamar. The descendants gave a startled gasp as she swooped down from the trees. I ignored them and mounted the beast. Noticing the nervousness in the Tichamar, I scanned the area wondering who, or what, was nearby watching. "It looks like my job starts now" I mumbled to myself, "Who knows what kind of danger could be out there, waiting for them."

"What is she saying?" I heard one of them say behind me.

"I think she wants us moving towards the castle," a faceless smile said beside me as the cat appeared.

As we moved along I noticed the excited and wondering faces of the descendants as we moved down the path. I wonder what sort of boring world they have up there that such things would curious them, I thought. They were like ignorant, inoscent children. It was fun seeing the different reactions, but the face I kept returning to was of one of the boys. I couldn't help it, he did have such a handsome face. But I couldn't say who it was because I didn't yet know their names. Oh well, they're will be plenty of time to get to know them on the journey.

As I continued to study my soon-to-be quest partners, I watched one of the girls that couldn't seem to keep her feet on the ground. She was quite talented at climbing and swung through the trees with ease. I laughed as she woke a family of squirrels and got pelted with nuts.

Finally, we got to the castle. At our coming, the marble gates swung open while the welcome trumpets blew. A group of friendly dogs rushed out to escort us in, and I could see the White Queen herself, inside, ready to greet us. "Welcome to the White Castle."
I'm a JESUS FREAK! (but you can call me a 'Jeek' if you want :D

I... like normal. None of this was normal. The talking rabbit was a small stretch. The Angel that wasn't an angel, the Chesire Cat (the for real Chesire Cat) and the hawk, bird, horse thing with the crazy hat girl was too much. I was going to wake up to Isabel's singing any moment now.

I slid my pen from my ear and played with it unknowingly. The other... descendants, maybe... were all different and taking things in their own stride. Some seemed almost unaffected, as if this was their real world, as if they were meant to be here. I glanced at the crazy hat girl again and frowned. I wasn't sure who she was or what part she had to play in this, but I wasn't going to share any drink with her.

I smiled to myself.

I had to admit to myself that this was all kind of a dream come true. The talking flowers, the riddles, the odd creatures that made you look twice. If it was actually real... Maybe I don't need normal.

I was taken out of my thoughts by a single gasp that came from each of the newcomers of this world, whatever it's called. I glanced up and added my own gasp. Coming out of the oddly shaped trees, a palace of white gleamed in the daylight. There were red and black windows shaped as spades, hearts, clubs, and diamonds. I had the desire to jot it all down on my arm just to remember everything as it was right then...

Alice in Wonderland was a huge hit. Why couldn't I write something just like it?

Caspian:

First, a sliver of white was the only thing I could see throug the thick trees. But as we got closer, the entire castle came into view.

I literally had to keep my jaw from dropping. It was amazing. My eyes looked over the entire thing, taking in every detail, every nook and crany. I had to explore that place.

Blue:

I watched everyones reactions to the castle. It really was beautiful, but it didn't matter. I just wanted to go back home.

When the green-eyed hatter led us closer, I couldn't help but let a frown tug at the corners of my mouth. I don't want to go into the castle. I want to go back home. I need to go back to Sara and Collin. If I'm not there, they'll be adopted by someone else.

Angel

"Hello Angel." Raven replied, dipping her hat kindly as a descendant opend his mouth to speak. "Is she really an Angel?" I gave a small snicker. I wasn't really an angel, just looked fairly like one. Quite happily I shed my angelic look, leaving me with just tattered clothes. For an angel like being, I really didn't have everything white like real angels did. I looked like an angel of death; I had my bat wings out, my snake on my shoulder.

Raven answered the question, "Well if she were then she would be, but I'm not sure if she wasn't." It made sense enough to me, but obviously the descendants didn't have highly evolved brains like Raven and I.

Raven went back to taking them to the castles, and the descendants gaazes went back to her, though I did get some looks, I probably looked slightly frightening. At some point Chesshire cat joined us. "Hello Chessy." I had known him for ever; and how I loved that mischevious smile and bushy tail.

And oh, I just love their reaction as we got to the castle. Open mouths, glazed eyes. If only Raven hadn't interupted them, I swear they would have started drooling.

And there was the White Queen, standing properly, more magnificent then the castle. I gave a greeting to her, and she gave me a warm smile, immpossibly warm. I got out of the descendants reach, quite literally. I flew past them; my wings nearly catching on a boy named Isaac. He stumbled back, and I flew like a bat out of hell.

I gave them an air show, more for my pleasure then theirs, wasn't bragging a sin?

I’m sorry this is so long… and I’ve sort of partially adopted the White Queen… No one had her though, right?

I kicked Deuce slightly, bidding him to speed up. We had traveled that day, and the previous day, almost nonstop. “Almost there, boy,” I muttered into his ear. I stared ahead, and felt relieved as I spotted the tall, white castle in the distance.

It seemed Deuce spotted the castle as well, since he suddenly sped up, eager to reach the destination. As we approached the castle, I smiled widely. I had been traveling from the Blue Prince’s kingdom, a kingdom that (although it was more powerful then the White Queen’s) just wasn’t as pretty as the White kingdom. “And he just isn’t as pretty as the White Queen,” I muttered into Deuce’s ear. The steed snorted in appreciation.

“What the-” I looked up to see a creepy looking, bat-winged creature twisting and turning in the sky. She looked down at me, and waved. I waved back, forcing a smile. Once she flew away, I muttered, “freak.”

Deuce slowed to a halt on the edge of the forest surrounding the castle.

I looked down at a group of oddly gathered people, all looking to be in their teens. “No…” I whispered.

Deuce threw his mane around, and stomped the ground in confusion.

“There, boy,” I patted his flank, “Sshh…”

The White Queen stood on the steps to her castle, her glossy lips spread in a smile, as she spoke, “It is good to meet you all… as you may, or may not have gathered, the thing you all share is that you are all descendants of Alice. The Alice. Defender of Underland.”

One of the teenagers rose his hand, and asked, “Underland?”

“This is Underland,” The White Queen explained. She tittered, “I’m told that your great, great, great grandmother called it ‘Wonderland’ when she was young… but as I was saying… Underland is, once again, in need of defenders. As Alice’s descendants, you have been selected to aid the dwellers of Underland in our quest to take down the Blue Prince,” the smile faded from her lips, “He has taken over many of Underland’s towns and villages in his tyrannical expedition to rule all of Underland.”

I had watched her the whole time, and as she finished speaking, and looked around at the group of people, she caught my eye, and looked surprised, “Raven, could you finish up any explanation, and questions? I’ll be back in just a moment.” The Queen held her long white skirt up slightly as she trotted towards me.

“Hello, Jack,” she smiled.

I slid off of Deuce’s saddle, and bowed low to her, “Your majesty.”

She curtsied in return, “Anything to report from the Blue kingdom?”

I shook my head, looking disappointed, “Unfortunately, no,” I looked past her, and gestured to the people, “Although, I see that there is something going on here…”

She nodded, “Yes! Isn’t it wonderful? Surely the Blue Prince will fall with six people, all descendants of the great Alice!”

I forced a wide grin, “That is great news,” I chuckled slightly, and muttered, “And I was under the impression it would take days for you to gather them…”

“What was that?” she asked, with a slight frown.

“Oh, you know me, just talking to the horse,” I patted Deuce’s back.

She smiled, “Oh, Jack, do you think you could help them?”

I frowned, fiddling with my hands, “Oh… well, you’re highness…”

“You can call me Genevieve…” she murmured.

My eyes widened in surprise, “Genevieve. I do have a lot of business, you know…”

“Well, you can do your business, and be back in time to help them… no one gets around as fast as you and Deuce,” the queen noted.

Deuce whinnied in agreement.

I smiled, “Well, alright, if I have any spare time…”

“You promise you’ll be there?” she asked, giving me a hard look.

I nodded, “I promise.”

She smiled wide, “Fantastic! Well, I really must get back to the descendants…”

“Go ahead,” I shooed her away, and she trotted back to them, throwing m a grin, and a wave over her shoulder.

I stared, planning the words I would put on a page as I walked. I had just finished memorizing the building when I caught sight of a beautiful woman waiting for us just past the gate. I tried to rein in the awe pouring over me and failed. My hands itched for a peice of paper, some skin if that's what was called for.

I jumped when air rushed by me and leathery wings brushed against my cheek. I looked up as the Angel laughed, undoubtably at my shocked expression.

In her rags, with her bat wings, the angel revealed a beauty that surpassed what I knew how to explain or put into words that would do her justice. Isabel could do it though... Isabel. She would love all of this. She would understand it all.
That was the deciding factor. As I walked with the group through the gates, I uncapped my trusty ballpoint and began to write on my hand.

I stopped only to listen to the Queen, and my heart sunk. This sounded dangerous. This sounded like a civil war, and civil wars were nasty. Why was I here? Wasn't five as good as six?

Glancing back as we followed Raven, I had to smile at the card man now speaking to the queen. I added him into my notes and continued forward, bumping into the guy with the guitar.

I trailed behind everyone my eyes fixed on my sketchpad as I laid down a basic sketch of the castle and all of the 'descendants' and the Underland peoples. (Yes I just said peoples anywho back to my post!) I was fascinated in fact
beyond fascinated and more than a little scared this place was beyond my wildest imagination yet it seemed familiar. "Ok well we will have about 2 days to rest and get supplies ready then we set out." I heard Raven say loudly. I glanced up as we entered the castle and were ushered into a main hall. I stopped drawing and put the sketchpad back the white walls almost blinding but absolutely beautiful all at the same time all of a sudden I was suddenly dying to try the acoustics and my hands actually started open my worn leather violin case. I bit my lip trying to get back in control as I started to toy with the latches.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

I decided that the White Kingdom was a rather stupid place. Or maybe it was just the madness--slowly seeping, claiming everyone.
I wrinkled my nose in distaste and tried the door. Unlocked. Everything in this place was unlocked. Were they insane? I shook my head. The Hatter girl was here. 'Course they were. She'd drive anyone mad.
I shrug and just open the door, making myself smaller as I creep into the palace. Normally, there'd be defenses of some sort to keep me out. The Queen wasn't my biggest fan, even if I was...helpful.

But the descendants were here. Their trust was in them, as if humans were better. Alice had been a tearful little girl...who'd gotten lucky often. They...

I quiet my thoughts and just step up next to/behind a human girl with a violin case, using the shadows as a cloak. I stayed silent and hoped I'd just be ignored. I normally was just ignored--especially when I looked like a tow-haired child. Couldn't help but be smug about that.

(I dunno. I had to insert him in there somewhere, though.)
My SPD senses are tingling.

Angel

I swooped back down to Raven, a question in mind. "Raven! Mind if I tag along?" I folded my bat wings in, replacing them with eagle wings. I looked less bat like. I was constantly changing my wings, shedding my angelic looks. My snake was still there, it's thin body coiling around my arm, like an acid green scar. "I don't mind, just try to avoid messing with the descendants heads." I gave a snort; it was my favorite past time.

I walked along the descendants, my wings folded to my back. I was a little behind from the group, sometimes even with the wings folded to my back I rose a little, I was too used to flying.

I wanted to make conversations, but my meetings with humans were few and far between. Of course I had met Alice; sweet girl. I do have to admit I influenced her a little. Anyone who remembers that time always remembers a hummingbird following her around. I was like a guardian angel.

I listened to the White Queen as she rambled off about the history of Underland, formerly Wonderland. I had been through it all, so I didn't need this. I sped up through the crowd, brushing past Issac, and Raven.

I walked into the Diamond Library, one of the four in the castle. I picked the biggest book on the shelf and sat down on the checkered floor. I had just cracked the spine when I heard the door open.

"Hello?," I called.

*It can be anyone, but if no one wants to I can just use Chessy.*

Blue:

I plucked at the strings of my guitar softly, so that no one could really hear it but me. I looked around the room. It really was quite amazing. Actually, it was incredible. And the acoustics in here would be-

I cut my thought short, knowing that if I started to enjoy it, I wouldn't want to go back to the world with my abusive mother and scared siblings.

Suddenly, someone bumped into me, causing me to stumble, clutching to my guitar so not to drop it.

I turned quickly to face the guy, Isaac I belive.

At first, I got sucked into my shy self adn began muttering apologies too quietly for him to even hear. But then, I noticed something. Something in his eyes told me he was like me - he didn't want to be here.

Feeling my eyes soften, I gave him a smile and said, "You don't want to be here either, do you."

I began to murmur my apologies and avoid any eye contact as the guy with the guitar did so but stopped when he said at an understandable volume, "You don't want to be here either, do you?"

I opened my mouth only to close it again and finally replied softly, glancing around to see if anyone was listening, "Not really. I have more important things to be looking after. They could have asked at least." I capped my pen and put it behind my ear, hiding my writings on everything I had seen so far by balling my hand into a fist. As the conversation fell into nothing, I looked around, finding the silence awkward.

I jumped and almost tripped when the feathers of the Angel ran across my shoulder. I studied her retreating form and looked back at the guitar guy. I tried to think of his name and came up empty, feeling a bit guilty. "Do you think she could help get us out of here?" I asked, moving away from the group, hoping I wouldn't be stopped. "She doesn't seem like the normal person, you know?" I smiled hopefully over my shoulder. "Let's follow her."

Raven~

After the White Queen informed everyone of the war (which, by the way, didn't seem to help the mood), everyone was escorted to dinner while I took my Tachimur to her stable. By the way, I should probably mention that I don't keep her locked up in that box, she's a free spirited creature and flies where she pleases when she pleases, I was merely feeding her. Anyways, on my walk to the dining hall I was thinking about my group. They didn't look very willing to help us out on this quest, well at least I noticed the attitude in some of them. Negativity was thick in the air. But what was I expecting? Did I think everyone would just jump at the opportunity of fighting, even possibly dying, for a world they've never been to, or even knew exists? The embarrassing thing was, I did.

"Well if it isn't my sister, the failure and loser, Raven." my twin brother sneers at me as I turned the corner in the hall.

"Get lost, Tyven," I spat back. Let's just say we don't get along very well.

"I saw your sorry sight of reqrutes back at dinner. They're a dim lot; probably couldn't kill a Yeemei if they tried," he snorts, "If this war is depended on you guys, we are most definitely going to lose. And it'll all be your fault."

"At least I get to go fight; the Queen trusts me to be in charge of an important part in this war. While you are sitting in the castle making hats. Who's the loser now?" We glare at each other with our faces close. Unfortunately he's taller then me, which doesn't help in my case.

Finally he drops the glare and looks at me with false pity that says, 'we're all going to die and it'll be your fault, hope you can carry the burden', then he walks down the hallway as if he's the most important person in the world. I roll my eyes and head towards the dining hall.

When I get there I look around for a seat and wonder who I should sit with. I've always worked on perfecting my talents and impressing people like the Queen, I don't know beans about social life.

Finally I decide on the girl who I saw climbing. She's got her legs tucked up under her, almost like the floor has cooties. I smile, for some reason I like her already. I put my hand on her shoulder and she turns around, "Hey, I'm Raven, can I sit with you?"

She shruggs, "Sure. My name is Allysa."

I sit down and take time filling my plate with the royal food. Finally I say, "So, I saw you climbing on the way here." It was a statement, but one that required that she give more information.

I sat in the back toying with my food humming under my breath. I had already recieved several dirty looks coming here when some of the other descendants tried to make conversation about how crazy this all was but I had merely smiled and shook my head and left it at that. I closed my eyes and was suddenly filled with an aching longing for my oak tree and Uncle Marcus his odd smile and understanding ways then I was filled with regret about following Dilly leaving my deaf cousin Narcissa and my crippled cousin Edmund. "Crap." I whispered to myself biting my lip. I groaned and whacked my head on the table then I did it again. "You know you really shouldn't do that." I heard a gruff voice say and I looked up to find myself next to a large black wolf with dark green eyes looking at me smiling slightly. " I know that's why I keep doing it." I said cheerfully and he chuckled. "My names Celestria Hester Alice descendant." I said calmly taking note of the large plate of vegetables in front of him. "My names Saber I'm a spy for the queen." he replied biting into a carrot. "Odd I thought the descendants and the those going on the quest were supposed to be here." I said. "Well you people need someone who knows how to get in and out of the Blue Prince's land." He said wagging his tail slightly.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
