I'm about 28 pages in The Da Vinci Code (haven't had any time to read recently), and am about to start Septimus Heap: Flyte, the second book in the Septimus Heap trilogy, the first of which I thought was entertaining enough, but there was nothing really special about it.

...Just finished Pride and Prejudice - and I never thought of having such a good time reading Jane Austen. Though I hadn't ever read anything of hers before (brilliant judgement from ignorance and hearsay). I'm still reading Jorge Luis Borges, and The Prisoner of Zenda by Anthony Hope. Adventure with fencing in it!

I just put down the book I was reading and picked up New Moon by Stephenie Meyer (Advanced Reader's Copy in Stores October 2006). It's the sequel to Twilight - www.twilightnovel.com - I absolutely love New Moon except right now its really depressing and I've already started crying once while reading it!

Oh, yay — I love advance copies of books.

Although I have a stack of unread ones on my desk ...

The Da Vinci Code is amazing. I loved it. Be sure to play "The Da Vinci Quest" at the official website after you read it--it's really cool.

I'd be lucky to find anything by Sean O'Callaghan. I've been searching for To Hell or Barbados for almost a month now, ordered it twice, and got my order cancelled both times. Argh!

I'm nearly finished Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson, and because of that book I know what I want to do with my life. Gonzo journalism sounds like the best thing for me.

When I'm finished I'm gonna start Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh.
