Umm....hello there :)

Hey I am a 14 year old girl from Australia. I was surfing the net and managed to find this website, which seems pretty cool. I'm a generally shy girl and I'm glad this is over the internet because I find it hard to express my love for writing to the people around me. Once,in class, when asked what careers we wish to pursue, I mentioned that I would like to be an author and I basically got teased about it. They tried to assure me that it was a boring occupation and I would probably suck at it. This is because my brother is a popular football jock and I'm supposed to follow in his footsteps. But I don't want to and this is giving me the perfect opportunity to express my feelings and share my work with people who will hopefully appreciate it. Thankyou if you stuck with me through that boring tale and I hope I can find a place in this family.

We welcome you greatly! When I was in school I was very shy and wanted to be an author. Luckily, my skills have improved since then but I'm doing it as a side career. Tell them you're majoring in English, because you have to know English to write Then again, don't be ashamed of saying you'll be an author. It's a hard career goal but if you have the time and talent, great! I can say I know some authors! It's always easier to post online and get others' opinions.

You're not standing in front of peers that know your every move or your BROTHER! Brothers are stupid LOL. I have an older one. I hope to read some of your work soon. This is a great place for good reviewing of your work(s) and to help improve if anything needs to be improved.

I'll follow you so I can read your work as you post it! Congrats on finding this place. I found it not too long ago and I love it. I have friends now ! I also have a family and it's hard to get out and keep in touch with high school friends but online it's really nice.
