Although I'll sound like a bit of a prat for saying this. I write for two reasons, all of which in someway benefit myself.

One, I write because I feel better for it (though not always the case when its gets frustrating). The reason is simply when certain things happen in life, like death I don't get effected by it (cause for concern by a few close people; think I'm some nutty bloke) as I seem to store it and without writing and the want to direct films it hits me, generally everything bad that's happened and I usually become angry. Basically keeps me sain.

But secondly, I also write not for other people but hopefully writing for myself bring about something that might help someone else. This is were I'll sound like a right ____. But I was lucky when I was at school as I didn't get bullied as such but I did notice those who did. So, long story short it's pretty much near impossible to stop things like bullying all together and I write to hopefully give those people (who are the victims) some form of enjoyment, especially if their life isn't something of want. I know, I know it's kinda stupid but thats pretty much the (small) soft side of my mind. 8)

Writing: To be honest, I really don't know. :P I should stop for the sake of my health and those around me.

Reviewing: I like hearing the sound of my own voice.

Writing, for me, is the only real way I can ever vocalize my thoughts or feelings. I grew up with a huge stuttering problem and even though I no longer stutter, I'm still not very comfortable, or sometimes even capable, of getting words to come out of my mouth. And if I can't say them out loud, at least with writing, I can get all of my characters out of my head and all of my feelings off my chest.

As for why I review, well, there isn't much reason to it. I like to read. And if I'm going to read, I might as well do something that helps me and the other writer as well, right?
Never forget who you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.

I write because if I didn't, I would explode.

Originally, I wrote because I had been reading a book that ended in a way that really upset me, and it made me want to end a book the way I wanted it to end.

It just too me a long time before I could really call my writing 'writing' as opposed to teenage ranting as I've always been a little bit too overdramatic xD.

Creation, destruction...it's ugly and beautiful, and I love it. I love perspective, and I love having things to consider. Especially perspective. I write to give a little insight to my own perspective and ideas to consider. I also enjoy painting with words. And paint, but that's beside the point. xD

Reviewing? I read other peoples' work to see their individual perspectives, to let them inspire my own, and I review because I like giving advice. It makes me warm and fuzzy knowing I've helped someone. x3

Oh, and you know what's cool? Perspective.

I write to create. And destroy. And have unlimited power and wealth and abilities, all at my fingertips. To be able to execute my wildest dreams whenever I want...

Why I review? Points- er- to learn from others. :3

I write because I haven't ever been able to stop. I always intended to give it up, just until I could afford to do it full time, but when it came to the point where it was affecting my degree and my future and I still just couldn't make myself stop writing, I knew I wouldn't be happy unless I was working in the industry of literature.

Reviewing is less clear cut. Sometimes I review because I do generally enjoy it. It makes me feel all happy and even a little smug when I can look at someone's work and see something they might have missed and help them make it better. I also do it because I like helping people. And then I do it because it's good experience for if I become an editor and could give me a boost into an amazing career. Oh and the best way to get me to review is simply to ask because it always flatters me that someone should come to me for a review.

When I was younger, I used to make these elaborate Fantasy stories in my head. And then, I wrote some down. I had fun playing and talking to the characters.
Now, like everyone needs a hobby, I write. It maybe an odd hobby - most people read/sing/play some sport, but I write. Sometimes, there's a char waiting inside me to be described. It's a stress buster.
I may probably never pursue a career in this field, but I won't ever stop writing. Even if it is only to satisfy myself.

I review, primarily, to help me understand the complexities in writing and help me improve my writing. But then again, sometimes I review because I loved the piece.

I write because if I don't I can't sleep with the ideas spinning in my head. True Story. Lol. Also, to organize and create my own opinions and thoughts. It's something I love. <3

I review because I guess I'm helping a writer somehow... Lol. But, mostly because I like to see other people's points of view about things.

I write because it's what i can do to keep my language and it's my hobbie. I live abroad. And i review because i love to read 24/7, and it's good to see what everyone else sees of themselves and the world :) (they've got good points off views)
