Hello Everyone!
My name is Jessa and I am obviously new to the site. I love to write poems and letters (much like my sister, Kayde2). Yes, we are twins. And yes, we are identical. Currently we are working on a story together, but it does not yet have a title. Once we get some chapters finished we will post them in hopes of receiving some helpful reviews. Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi.
Hope to see you around!

Hey Jessa,
Welcome to YWS. I'm acutally following Kayde2. Working on a story together, that's really cool. I have a younger sister who's getting into writing now. We don't get along enough to work on a story together though.
Anyway, what's the genre of the story?
Since you guys are related and, I'm assuming, living in the same house, this might not be of any help to you, but if you hover over My YWS, the last option is an account that's linked to your YWS account. It lets two people work on a story at together without being together. It might help. Thought you'd like to know.
If you have any questions or ever need a review, just PM me or post on my wall.

Hey Meg,
Yes you are correct we do live together and we do most of our writing on paper and then compare our ideas before typing them. But I will totally talk to Kayde about connecting our accounts. She might know more about it than I do.

The genre of our story is a romance, but before you judge...it is more about finding your way and learning to cope with different situations. We are struggling to think of a title, but we have all of the characters named and a rough draft of the ending completed. Kayde or I will PM you once we have a few chapters finished and posted.

What kind of genre do you like to write?

Hi Jessa! Welcome to YWS! It's fun having a twin, no? I actually dragged my twin (Griffinkeeper) on the site too, lol, and we've done some co-writes with each other, so it's been pretty fun! He's my fraternal twin though... I kind of love it when people ask, "Do you look exactly alike?" since I'm the sister of the mix. It might be a little boring for you since you are identical though.

With your co-write, are you each doing a chapter from a different perspective, or are you attempting to do the same perspective for both?

Snoink,
Yes it is a lot of fun to have a twin and being identical can be fun at sometime, annoying at others. It is fun when we can trick people (switching places, finishing each others sentences, etc.) and it is annoying when people get us mixed up or when they assume things about twins (telepathy, ESP, etc).

Wow I can not imagine what it would be like to have a twin brother. I think that would be a lot of fun! You could either tell people that you are twins or they would not really have to know.

As for co-writing, we are writing our story with different perspectives. The different chapters rotate between two different characters talking so we have split it up that way. I got the short end though because I am talking as a guy. I do not know (or do I want to know) what goes on in the mind of a guy! Haha. I think it will all work out. I think Kayde is a better writer than I am, but most people tell us our writing sounds...well identical.

Anyways that was a very long answer to a simple question. What kinds of things do you write with your brother?

We write silly things! He helps me with my comics sometimes. Other times, he'll help me write radio show scripts, which we perform on YWS! So it's pretty fun. :)

As far as guys go... lol! That's fun. See, Griff and I cannot do those sorts of stories because he gets all squeamish and stuff. Even the mere IDEA of writing a hand-holding scene with his sister... that makes him sweat, lol.

If she's the better writer and if your writing is identical, then you must be an awesome writer as well! :D

Wow how do you perform things on YWS? That sounds fun.

I bet that would be funny do have him try to help you write a love scene...but it would be valuable to hear what they have to say on a situation. Something us girls may think as romantic they may think as insane! I would be curious to know.

I would be curious to hear what you have to think about our writing styles. If you think they are similar or not. You could read some of the things she has posted (her user name is Kayde2). I will be posting something soon, but I am having troubles with it.

Oh and I was curious if you were doing the partner poem writing contest. I need a partner and do NOT want to do it with my sister. Let me know!

Hm... I'm not sure if I can join that partner poem thing! I'm a moderator for YWS, so there might be a conflict of interest there. I'll go check, okay? :)

What sort of troubles are you encountering? Maybe I can help!

Oh yeah good point. That might be a problem, but it would be awesome if you could join!

And the troubles with my poem: I like the idea of it but I think the ending seems really forced. Do you know what I mean?

Oooooh. I thought you had trouble with the actual posting of it. :D Well, if it feels really forced, you should totally post it up for critique! You might get some really good ideas on how to fix it.

Also, we can totally be partners! So let's do this.

Alright, I'll post it :)

How do we get started on the poem? And what are we going to write about?

Hey Jessa!

If you would like to change your name from Jessa1 to Jessa, just send me a PM. It always bugs me when I see someone with numbers at the end of a name, especially when that name is already available.

Hello Jessa, what's cooking? I don't have a twin, but I do have six siblings. It can be interesting.

Don't forget to join the chat on occasion. The link's on the site's main page right after you sign in. Take care.
