This is just something I've always thought about, because I love to see the stats and maps and stuff, but is there any way to view each country closer up? That way, you can actually tell where some of those dots are coming from, especially with the really crowded areas like the US and Europe.

Hate is such a strong word.

Joking aside, you also have to keep in mind the avaliability of tech and resources, as well current politics and issues within any given area. I don't think I see see any dots from Mexico or anywhere in continetal Central America for that matter. As far as Mexico is concerned, right now things are still very crazy both in terms of internal and external political relations and the drug wars, not to mention the heated back and forth debate within the US and abroad on the issue of immigration. For those who are able, there has been continuing emmigration from places like El Paso, Texas, due to its close proximity to escalating violence and chaos of places like Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. Ciudad Juárez is literally across the street from El Paso.

I think it is safe to say that there are bigger issues for citizens of these areas to deal with daily before most could even think about getting online to explore aspirations of writing. Of course, I do hope some are eventually able to, it's a shame to miss out on opprotunuties like this.

I can say that I am a bit surprised to not see at least one dot somewhere in Brazil.

I think be cool to see map of America full scale and Europe certainly be interesting to see where dots are correspond. I can't even see my dot ;p.

The UK is violently swarming visiting YWS often, judging by that map.

I agree with a few of the others... Can we see the map magnified or something? I want to see Wales because right now, it's just a giant ginger blob of gloop.
