What made you shiver and your heart race with fear?

I'll start, i was riding my motorbike in the bush, woods, forest. (Whatever you call it in your part of the world) anyway.

I came across this bloke sitting down onto the side of the path. I stopped and killed the engine, he had no shoes or socks on and had needle in his left hand near his foot. Also a suspicious looking box in front of him. He had six pack of beer in his lap also.

His eyes were crazy. "He said you better be going now." He had scraggly black beard.

I didn't need any more encouragement, i was gone. I pressed my ignition of my motorbike. It wouldn't start......

He just looked at me. I tell you i was scared to death. I tried again, 'praise the lord,' it started and i was out of there.

That was probably the scariest moment of my life.

Now you?

Hmm, well there was this one time in college. I had an old (and VERY junky looking) switching psu salvaged from a junk jamma arcade cabinent. It was 'complimentary' since i got in a small lot of hand picked parts for the jamma harness attached to it. I was curious to test it out. Following the label on the metal base, I made two sort jumpers out of some spare insulated wire and shorted the (so I swear) correct colors together. Blue <-> black, White <-> brown. Now I should say I am actually diagnosed OCD (though no where near like you'd expect) and I don't mess around when it comes to stuff like electricity.

I checked everything over no less than 4 times before i set it up on the table, with the wires a safe distance from me. I plugged it in to quite the exciting display. A loud pop and a bright flash in front on my very own eyes. After the brief scare (you know, the heart jumping from a 'what the heck just happened' reaction), I rushed to unplug it.

Examining the wires, somehow the wrong ones were connected. The insulated leads on the ends of the white and black wires were charred, the force of reversed polarirty actually sent the jumper flying out of the black wires socket. It's likely that I was a bit tired. So even in quadruple checking, I missed something stupid obvious. It actually flipped the circuit breaker for the whole wall and kitchen. I had to wait until the next day to get it back on, since the circuit breaker was in my room mate's room who was out at the time.

It didn't take me long to make light of my "inches away from electric death". I called up my quirky friend Major to explain the situation and pretend to be scared, demanding he come over to keep me from killing myself, or to call for help if something happens. I also mused that "I learned something today, black and white wires just don't seem to mix well together. I know, I tried. It led to quite the spectactularly 'explosive' results."

There's probably some scarier moments, but this is all that comes to mind for now.
In the interest of actually getting somewhere and accomplishing something, I'll be 'wrong' and you can be 'right'.

When I saw your avatar. >.<
There are two kinds of folks who sit around thinking about how to kill people:
psychopaths and mystery writers.

I'm the kind that pays better.

When spirits sleep - or rest? - in the same bed as me.
The sadness drains through me rather than skating over my skin. It travels through every cell to reach the ground. I filter it yet strangely enough, I keep what was pure and it is the dirt that leaves.

I was just thinking that!
"Many people hear voices when no-one is there. Some of them are called mad and are shut up in rooms where they stare at the walls all day. Others are called writers and they do pretty much the same thing."

Nouns can verb very well actually, they verb better than some verbs do.
