Amy (Aquamarine) told me to post this here, I was going to put it in Art and Photography, but then decided to ask her first. So if it's out of place, then blame her. :D JART is dormant. :: Jenthura’s Art Request Thread :: :: J.A.R.T :: I was somewhat curious as to how this sort of thing would work, and no doubt wary of sounding egotistical. Nevertheless, I put fears and doubts aside to create this thread, unique in that there will be a limit (4) in requests. Don’t expect much, and most certainly don’t come back if you didn’t like your purchase*. ;) Also, please read carefully any and all requests that follow this post. If you can see that all request positions have already been filled, do not add another, even if the request-list below does not list some of them. In other words, I may not get around to maintaining the open/closed status of the requests, so just keep an eye on that. :: FAQ :: Who : Me, Jenthura Esquire, your faithful and not-so-gallant artisan-knight. Where : Posted here on this thread, PM’d to you and (If I think I did it well enough) in a post of its own or with other artworks I post. What : Any piece of art, an illustration for your story, a portrait (must send image!) , a banner for your website, or even an image based off song lyrics! You can request avatars, profile images or desktop backgrounds. Please note that I have limited digital art abilities, and that (to me) human anatomy is yet a mystery to be unraveled. When : Within a week of your request, but conflicting matters of possibly more interest may cause the waiting-length to lengthen. How : I work primarily with ink and brush , but watercolor , acrylic , pencil , charcoal or even clay can be used. Your choice. Why : Because I feel like doing it, because I may be bored most of the time, because I like seeing people happy*, because art makes me happy, because I don't post things anymore...much. You want any more reasons? Here's a form to fill out if you're requesting a character profile . Name: Gender: Height: Hair color: Eye color: Skin color: Clothing: Era: (This may affect Clothing and Background) Background: (Leave blank for None) Pose/position: Expression: Lighting: (This may affect Background) Tattoos/scars/birthmarks: (Leave blank for None) Other: Other sorts of requests do not merit a coded list. :: Requests :: Note: the Finished list is in the order of completion, however, they were not completed in the order of requesting. In other words, you may be on the top of the request list, yet only get yours done after everyone below you has moved on. The reason for this could be because you failed to fill out the form for a character profile, thus wasting time in PM's. Another reason could be that your drawing requires much research on my part (For instance, a drawing of a horse). - girl under tree with book (maybe a little older than that.)
- She can be a cartoony, but loose hair.
- tiny fairies or creatures hovering above her.
- and maybe you can jazz it up if you think it needs any.

Cthulhu - Sure thing, I have no legal hold whatsoever on any sort of artist request threads. I may be the first to do it on YWS, but I'm certainly not the first ever.
Be warned though, it can get very hard after a while. I'm currently very stuck with a single request...it's actually starting to get embarrassing. ><

I just wanted to comment on how cool I think it is you made this thread. ^-^ I'd never have the nerve to do something like this. Takes some serious time and effort. I've had people in real life request art from me before, too. For money even. I hate the task of spending hours working on something in order to please. (Despite the reward xP) But your art is really good. You have range. And it seems like your "customers" are quite happy. So props from one artist to another.

Thanks guys, that really makes me feel so much better!

I'm glad you aren't too picky, Lumi. One reason I'm not charging anything for these commissions is probably because that would give my 'customers' a reason to be picky.

I finished it Lavs! It's not as great as it should be perhaps, but...

Anyways, when you described the scene, I knew right away it featured big on imagination. And with imagination, there's always a dark side. That's why, outside the light cast from the books, you can see goblins and whatsitcalled gathering around.
