Skandar Keynes [pencil]

Hey

So... this is excellent. Beyond excellent. This is freakin' amazing.

I will admit, the name sounded familiar, but I wasn't sure who it was. I googled him, and instantly found the picture you did this off, and they look pretty much the same. And I recognized him.

So, you obvious have a ridiculous amount of talent and can draw whole worlds around me, but I will attempt to critique this in order to be SOMEWHAT helpful. I do think that both the hair and shirt can use a little bit of work. I know that maybe their not being perfect is okay because they aren't the focal point, which is the face, but the manner in which you've shaded them both is a little distracting when next to the rest of the shading.
Another tiny little miniscule thing: the neck is just the tiniest too big. I would think of taking a little away from the left side (our left, not his).


Overall: fantastic job. You've really captured his face, and your shading is excellent there. Great picture.

Wow! You drew this in one night. It would have taken me weeks to draw something nearly as good as this. This was really great and you have a bunch of talent.

Okay, so the neck appears a little thick, and the shirt appears a little sketchy. The nose is slightly too small, but only just. This looks almost exactly like him. >.< By the way...I think Stella's jealous too. xD

Wow demeter, this is amazing. The was his head sits on his neck bugs me a little, but thats probably just me. I would definatly know who it was even if it didn't say Skanday Keynes at the top. Its really that good. and knowing what goes on in chat between you and stella

Wow, that's really good! I think the eyes are flat and the mouth looks pursed. The hair's really good, though. you're an awesome artist!

Anyway, my only comment (besides that it is very good) is about the collar. I think the left hand side needs to be a bit more pronounced. Right now it just fades into the background.

Wow. That's such an epic drawing. It does resemble Skandar Keynes, but he actually looks like a different person xD. But, Skandar is the celebrity you can think of. That drawing looks younger though and the brows are lighter than Skandar's, I guess.

Quick nitpick:
His facial features look like they've been pushed to the right. Or if it's supposed to be like his head's turned, a little shadow play is required to make it look so.

It definitely looks like Skandar Keynes. It looks amazing Demeter!!! It would have taken me more than one night to draw something like that.

Impressive! I haven't got much to say about the artwork (because it was very too good) , but I do have something to say about your choice of reference photo*. He looks rather dumb, or spaced out. Whatever, I'm sure you know what I mean.

The neck... It needs more necky texture... Ya know? Like, a collerbone. But not too girly :3

I am in no way as talented as you when it comes to drawing, so obviously I can't really review this in the most productive way. But, I must say, this is absolutely fantastic Your mum's right - it does look like a Jason - but it also looks like Skandar, so I guess that's a double win. Awesome work!

YES! it does look like him! i think everyone's pretty much said everything so all i can say is that this is amazing, the shading is amazing and just... well done!
