Skandar Keynes [pencil]

Hi!

I haven't submitted/created anything in a long, long time, so I decided to post this picture I drew last night.

My mum: It looks like a Jason.
Me: It's Skandar Keynes, actually.
My mum: Oh, okay. Never heard of him.

So yes! I don't know if it looks anything like him. If not, then just treat it as a picture of a person! Also, I don't have a scanner, so this is taken with a camera.

It DOSE look like Skandar.....alot like him.

I absolutely LOVE the eyes nose and moth, it almost looks like a photograph. I wish I could draw that well.

The only thing is that his chin seems slightly off kilter with with his neck. I can't tell if it's the angle or the proportions of his chin.

I love the whole piece, it is wonderful!

Haha. I had a dumb moment. I read 'Skandar Keynes' and pictured Ben Barnes so I was expecting to see Prince Caspian.o_o It took me a few moments to realize my mistake. I got confused.

But, saying that, it does look like Skandar Keynes! I didn't know you drew, and I've been on this site for more than a year.XD I'm definitely checking the Art and Photography section more now. I'm not an artist so I don't really know how to critique this but I just really liked it. And you're really talented.

The detail is amazing. How you did the shading was perfect. Also you clearly showed emotion in his face and eyes.
Also I had a dumb moment and forgot who Skandar Keynes was for a second so had to luck him up on google
But after I remembered I honestly think this really does look like him!

I can not believe that you whine to me about not being able to draw. Next time you do that I smack you. This is so great, like his face almost looks like a proper photographer and the hair is great tooooo.

I agree with Shadowlight that something might be slightly off with his chin/neck area but I can't tell if that's just because of the angle or not. Plus I'm nowhere near an artist so what would I know about these things.

I kind of don't want to show you Deanna now...I was feeling proud of her but now I feel like I want to hide her xD

This picture is great! Far better than anything I could hope to achieve, at least ^^
Something about his face is a little off though, and I think his lips are supposed to be a bit bigger/longer (I was looking for a picture that you could've used to draw from)

Well, since I have no clue on earth who Skandar Keynes is, this is actually going to be a pretty useless review, but nevertheless, I do see some errors.

The ear: so the right (facing him) ear is practically perfect, while the left ear is not. It is way too flat.

Hmmm. He actually looks a lot like me.

Wow! This is amazing. You have a real talent. I love the shadowing and the calmness of the pencil strokes. It looks very much like a photography. You got the likeness of him very well. Great job on this.

I can't believe you did this without telling me. Gorgeous (both him and the picture).

Ok thats amazing. I have to give you props on drawing someone and making it look like you know the person. When I draw a person they sort of end up an imaginary person... like im creating them for the first time, and they look like a drawing. Yours looks like a person or a photograph. Got to love it!

Only critique I would have would be to add some chest/kneck detail. ie: collarbone, pecs, ets. below the chin starts to look more drawing then real life with no detail

This is amazing! I just suggest working on the neck/ chin area. His head is at a bit of an odd angle and there's not really any space between the left side of his chin and his neck. But other than that, this is phenomenal. Lovely work!

Keep drawing! You have some real talent. I don't know what this is supposed to look like, but I think it's awesome as is.

This is awesome! The hair is what I like particuarly, and the shading under the chin. It's all very realistic. I don't really have much to pick on here, and I don't want to pick on this fantastic artwork, but shouldn't there be a shadow from the collar of his shirt on the right-hand side? (Our right, his left)
